I’m pretty sure if it was there for a while it would, but she said that it helps her family eat them faster if they are out in containers, so if they are gone within a few days I think it might be fine, but you bring up a good point.
I think she thought that if you cut up fruits and stuff, you’re more likely to pick that on the run, instead of something else like a bag of chips, or leftovers. I get what you mean though:)
Not really, it's really just minimal loss of nutritional value. What will happen is that they will slightly dry out - it helps to put a damp towelette or kitchen roll on chopped up veggies. You just have to be careful with onions and garlic as they start secreting essential "oils" and these become rancid very fast.
I'm from the states and all I could think was that is a crap ton of plastic and waste. I didn't realize people buy broccoli heads and other veggies prepackaged.
I think people are so accustomed to the plastic they don't even think about it. We specifically make an effort to shop at stores such as Sprouts and Cental Market to avoid all the extra packaging.

You should soak your grapes, strawberries and blueberries in a mixture of vinegar and water in a bowl for 10-20 minutes. It gets all of the dirt and pesticides off and it tastes even better.
Tip: Put any produce in a large bowl with a tablespoon white vinegar for up to 10 minutes. Then drain and rinse! No matter if it's organic or not grocery stores don't clean the produce enough and especially now with covid-19, people touch the produce and put it back! ☺️
That’s a good idea to declutter the fridge before going to the grocery story. I never think to do that, but you’re right, it would make life easier when putting the new groceries away!

For me cut strawberries last anywhere from 3 to 4 without any problems. If they're not too ripe sometimes even up to 6 days, put that's pushing it. Carrots slices, radishes and cucumbers can last more than a week. I usually eat them up in the first 3 or so days though. I slice everything up and put a damp cloth/kitchen roll paper on it to keep it slightly moist and then seal it off. Same goes with herbs like parsley or chives (I don't recommend chopping herbs beforehand though). I tend to cut everything up twice or thrice a week as I live alone and don't stock up on huge amounts.
I know I'm kinda late but this has inspired me to really keep the fridge tiddy and neat, i take care of my grandmother and the organization helps alot for her to get in and out the fridge, especially cause she wears glasses so thank you for more ideas 💡 keep up the good work and ignore the negative comments, you have people here who understand. ❤
This was probably the most satisfying fridge organization video I've seen so far. I loved it so much, I think it inspired me to go clean and organize my own fridge. It's not too bad right now, but it definitely needs to be wiped down at least
Hi, great video, thanks for sharing your tips on organizing the fridge! I can't help but notice that there's a very polarizing trend on UA-cam of either stocking up on non reusable items (like plastic bottles) and extreme zero waste living. I won't claim to be a guru here on sustainability, but I really want to emphasize the fact that you have a large number of plastic water bottles in your fridge. Perhaps you could consider replacing those individual bottles with one large, reusable water pitcher, or a water purification system in your kitchen. It's super wasteful to keep stocking up on plastic water bottles when there are tons of other eco friendly options
We keep bottled water for guest and also because our town is under a boil advisory often and with having two young kids we need to keep water on hand. We drink from our filtered water system in our fridge
If you cut them they acually go bad faster! That’s why my fridge looks messy but the food lasts more...
i have so much respect for this woman. i could and would never do something like this. 😫
🤦🏾♀️ girl idk how you ignore all the negativity
Yessss!! Im feeling annoyed on her behalf. Smdh

Eu amo ver os vídeos de limpeza americana, mas confesso que você foi a única que achei limpa e organizada, parabéns 👏🇧🇷
Now I'm looking for containers to organize my fridge
The fruit/veggie ones with the ventilation...are at Costco right now for only $25 (4 pack) 💕
Just cleaned my fridge and freezer! It feels great!
Please don’t use so many single use plastics! They are terrible for the environment and unnecessary. All of those water bottles are so wasteful :(
Not everyone is privileged enough to not use plastic, it’s cheap and for the average family necessary.
Laurel Castillo look at her kitchen and the ability to buy this amount of food.... she’s privileged enough.
“Works for her family” is a lazy excuse.
She once said that she needed that many bottles, because her towns water isn't that good
XenoEstrogens and Phthalates from all that plastic are dangerous... 🥵 Carcinogens... look it up.
Everyone having fancy big fridges
Me: having those cheap small fridge
The smaller and older less expensive refrigerators actually last longer. As long as it actually works and doesn't run up utilities stick with it.
This is something my mom would watch
I would like to know what happened to the eggs that she couldn’t fit into the container
OMG I was just thinking that lol
Hello. This is the first video of yours that I see, and I loved it. Thanks a lot for the tips. 🤩
This is so motivational! Makes me want to clear my fridge out! I uploaded a cleaning video yesterday xx
Seeing people buy groceries like this and having no worry about money is wild to me
Most of them will go waste or rot in this fridge after finishing this video
A good tip is if you see any fruit gong bad put it in the freezer. It is really helpful and good for smoothies,
Have you ever heard of reusable bottles? All of that plastic...
She says her town gets boil advisory often and that’s her backup plan
It's her life. Let her live it her way. We do have recycling so maybe she does that.
@@mimijacobson4592 yeah but she could just buy like 2l bottles??
@@izzywave222 its harder to carry around a 2l bottle everywhere
@@yusrakhan5255 you can just refill a water bottle with the 2l one?
Have the same refrigerator. I’ve been struggling with how to organize it...so it’s nice to see someone else with the same. Love the containers, I have a few for the drawer which is for string cheese and yogurts...definitely going to pick up a few of the produce ones!
