How about some quotes from the UN's IPCC AR6? "There is low confidence in the emergence of heavy precipitation and pluvial and river flood frequency in observations, despite trends that have been found in a few regions." "There is low confidence in the emergence of drought frequency in observations, for any type of drought, in all regions." "Observed mean surface wind speed trends are present in many areas, but the emergence of these trends from the interannual natural variability and their attribution to human-induced climate change remains of low confidence due to various factors such as changes in the type and exposure of recording instruments, and their relation to climate change is not established. . . The same limitation also holds for wind extremes (severe storms, tropical cyclones, sand and dust storms)." Yes, but they still need to inject some spice now and then. So they came up with "global boiling" to use for a few weeks last year. This year we have "the hottest May on record". Even though it's been freezing and people are still putting their heating on in June
Just one example; most British and EU farms are small, often family, businesses. Has anyone seen the machinery they invest in these days? The size of them? Thought about the power they have to produce? Thought about the cost of them? All run on diesel. All a long term investment by a small scale business. Are any of them going to kiss them goodbye by some arbitrary date like 2030? Would we allow ourselves to starve to achieve it while we import half the world's population? Get real BBC.
Would that include adverts about electricity companies that run fossil fuel power stations? They are merely giving themselves the reason for more control and oppression.

@@michellebooth327 What are the lies? But apart from that I don't expect people to stop buying them, I expect fewer people to buy them and the process of change to speed up. It makes no sense to have policies to change road transport to electric and hinder that transition by promoting ICE vehicles.

Apparently we have 5 years to sort the problem, yet a few months ago it was an immediate danger, four years ago it was three years we had. This deadline just keeps changing and every time we get to a world of disaster and the world does not end, a new world disaster timetable is invented.
No. There are climate scenarios ranging from what's likely to happen, usually ranged between 1 °C to 6+ °C predicted until 2100. Depending on what climate actions were or weren't taken, scientists adjust the predictions. The danger is not "immediate" it's already happening and have been happening for decades, as the extreme weather caused by climate change has and is causing serious economic and vital damage, and we have been seeing a lot of species going extinct. Unfortunately rather than being climate alarmists, politicians are actually underplaying how significant the issue compared to actual scientific climate predictions, and that 1,5 °C that the UN is aiming for already means trillions of dollars in damages, large areas becoming uninhabitable, and present day on 2024.06.06 we already have 50 million more people globally migrating due to the climate difference we have compared to what we would have without it, the sea levels rose 30 cm since the 1800s, and animal and plants extinction rates are multiple hundredfolds larger than the normal extinction rate, meaning that 1 million species are currenty threatened by extinction according to the IPBES. Takeaway is: the situation is fucked, but there are still a lot of things we can do to mitigate damage, most relevant of which is reducing consumerism and banning green-house gases. Even after the bans, the heating will continue for a while, but currently not we consume more oil daily every day rather than actually reducing emissions, and this has to change.
@@Wind-oh-Wishp It is the use of carbon and industrialisation that has lifted more people out of poverty in the last hundred years then anytime in history. The UN's IPCC AR6, chapter 12 "Climate Change Information for Regional Impact and for Risk Assessment", section 12.5.2, table 12.12 confirms there is a lack of evidence or no signal that the following have changed:
Air Pollution Weather (temperature inversions),
Aridity,
Avalanche (snow),
Average precipitation,
Average Wind Speed,
Coastal Flood,
Agricultural drought,
Hydrological drought,
Erosion of Coastlines,
Fire Weather (hot and windy),
Flooding From Heavy Rain (pluvial floods),
Frost,
Hail,
Heavy Rain,
Heavy Snowfall and Ice Storms,
Landslides,
Marine Heatwaves,
Ocean Acidity,
Radiation at the Earth’s Surface,
River/Lake Floods,
Sand and Dust Storms,
Sea Level,
Severe Wind Storms,
Snow, Glacier, and Ice Sheets,
Tropical Cyclones.
How about some quotes from the UN's IPCC AR6?
"There is low confidence in the emergence of heavy precipitation and pluvial and river flood frequency in observations, despite trends that have been found in a few regions."
"There is low confidence in the emergence of drought frequency in observations, for any type of drought, in all regions."
"Observed mean surface wind speed trends are present in many areas, but the emergence of these trends from the interannual natural variability and their attribution to human-induced climate change remains of low confidence due to various factors such as changes in the type and exposure of recording instruments, and their relation to climate change is not established. . . The same limitation also holds for wind extremes (severe storms, tropical cyclones, sand and dust storms)."
There is no objective observational evidence that we are living through a global climate crisis. None.
