There is no way to stay below 1,5C. 5-10 years are we are permanently past it. 14-16 years for 2,0C. And current trend is toward 3-5C warming by 2100. 77% of IPCC climate experts says we are heading toward 2,5-5,0C (or more) warming.
This means:
Warm water coral reefs are lost.
Over 30% of marine life is lost.
Greenland ice sheet is lost.
Amazon rainforest is turning to desert and grassland.
All climate driven extremes are more likely and more devastating.
Permafrost will thaw releasing 500-1000Gt of carbon (decades of human made emissions).
Mountain glaciers are vanishing leavien billions without clean water.
Most crops will fail due to droughts and floods.
Even the soil is losing stored biological and non-biological carbon.
All life in the world is threatened.
Tippping point dominoes can lead to rapid 18C warming making everything even worse.

We have to stop this trend immediately.
So, stop burning fossil fuels.
Stop your car. Change you electricity to renewables (and seen that it is really done so). Change your heating/cooling to heat pumps, ie. geothermal power. Lessen your consumption on all goods. Vote for politicians who daily talks about climate issues and who are willing to cut down fossil fuel industry.
It is also time to take fossil fuel liars to the court for endangering everyone. Charge against fossil fuel industry CEO's, corrupted politicians, their funders, beneficiers and every billionaire (too high personal emissions).
Without shutting down fossil fuel burning we don't have a chance. 80% of our energy comes still from fossil fuels.
Stop this deadly madness of fossil fuel burning. Today.
Aerosols alone will rise temperatures well above 1,5C. Even by IPCC's low estimate 0,6C means reaching 1,8C by this thing alone. Hansen estimates this much higher.
And this is just one driven that pushes us past 1,5C.
And we are still emitting worst levels of ghg's...
