Why The Cronut Is Still New York City’s Most Legendary Dessert | Legendary Eats
He's quite considerate to those who are waiting in line too. He makes madeleines and gives it to those in line. That's for free.
Ririrururara didyaknowwhat I mean yeah you’re paying $6 just for one pastry I’d do it too madeleines are cheap.
@@redaries5394 oh I see the bs pricing is not exclusive to my country
@@redaries5394 Honestly, $6 for a 3-day process is pretty cheap. Most restaurants would likely charge more.
That's so nice of him. Think you'd get that kind of consideration at Momofuku Milk Bar?
@@redaries5394 Well if you think about it, it is expensive, but pastries are labor intensive, hence they are limiting it's creation to a few hundred pieces per day. Plus, the ingredients aren't downright cheap either, that's why you get a $6 pastry. There are things like donuts with gold that are ridiculously expensive, just because they have gold it in. I think those are ridiculously priced and gold doesn't even taste anything.

I had one from Dominique's new york bakery and it was worth the wait in line. Then I had Dunkin Donuts version...and it tasted like ass. Dunkin knew it too because they discontinued it.
Nicholas Yu you tried ass before?
@@nazgul7914 Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Don't be like that. You know what he meant. The DD cronut tasted horrible. U made me laugh though😂😂.
Well, depending on how good it looks, I may pick eating the asszz instead!...
@@tayloral Peach was the flavor that day. Would've wanted to try a chocolate one.
Dunkin donuts cronut? Never heard of it and never had it
I have so much respect for Dominique Ansel. Has the resources to be taking time off and handing the reigns to a sous but chooses to be in house and innovating constantly. I love his videos.
I stood in line for an hour for a cronut when I lived in NYC last year.. best decision of my life. They really are amazing!
I am green with envy 🤢
Awwww they look so good!

But I think she has
do u still think about her
tragic
you must have kept your eye on hole not cronut
They aren't that good as people make them out to be. I'd rather eat a regular sugar-coated donut. They are very oily, like eating a very thick croissant or a donut that's crispy.
The line is way shorter at his vegas location
''You are better off just buying one'' Ok lemme just hop from germany to america real quick sis
i didnt know that many flavours existed. a diff one every month for 6 plus years. damn
lmao i thought that 2
if i wait too long it might only be spinach flavored left.

I got one a few (3?) years ago. Because I was on a tight schedule (food tour of NYC), I PRE-ORDERED my cronut A WEEK before my flight, put in a pick up time, prepaid, skipped the line and picked up. Then I was out. The shop was crazy busy and though a part of me wouldn’t have minded the full experience, my husband (who isn’t a fan of food and waiting for it) and I compromised. I still got my Cronut so life was good.
He creates his own scarcity, thus making silly people want them more.
