I work on these for a living, a little tip, after you remove the dust bin up above the serial number sticker on either side of the electrical contacts, there's little white plastic tabs, push each one in towards center while pulling out on the cyclone and the cyclone will release from the main body. You can then fully submerge the cyclone in water to clean it out. There's no electronics inside. Great video!
Did this the other day. Hubby used compressor to clean it out and works perfect now. We were contemplating buying a new battery. The dirt in the purple filter was unreal. It was solid ... definitely going to clean more often now. Thank you for this .
Best instructional video EVER! My vac is so super clean now and I must say, I feel pretty smug that I did it myself and didn't run it up to the vacuum repair shop first. Thank you!
Fantastic advice. No one should assume that the manufacturer instructions are the be all and end all. I stripped mine down after the same blue light fault per your video and found it quite dusty but not exceptionally. Gave it a thorough clean. Charged the battery after reassembly and now it works brilliantly. The cone filter was quite full at the bottom so I think that could’ve been the main problem. But it just goes to show how a bit of dirt can cause what seems like a battery fault. Don’t just assume that’s the case and change it. Half an hour clean every month or so will keep it running smoothly. Thanks so much.
I have found the dyson V6 to be a poor design with regards to cleaning. The bin seal is poor allowing dust and fibres to collect around the rim and has you have found, dust build up in the internals. It is actually difficult to clean quickly or indeed easily (This video helps but should we have to take a screwdriver and dismantle!). My V6 now cuts off after a minutewith the blue flashing LED. Some people will assume it requires a new rechargable battery unit; others will just throw it away and buy another. The issue prompted me to look for others experiences; hence here. Thank you sir for a chance to save me money and deprive Dyson. P.S. I have a corded Miele with bag as the main Vac - easily cleaned properly.
Excellent video!!! We've had a Dyson SV03 for about 8 years or so. GREAT service and wife empties it regularly and I clean the head regularly, but last week it began shutting down every 45 seconds. I first looked for new batteries then found this video. Great step by step video - followed it and WOW, so much dust & cat hair (we have 4 cats!). Now drying and will later find out it this "fixed it." But judging from the 87.375 cubic feet of dust removed, I think we'll be good. Also subscribed to your channel since you also mentioned motorcycles. Thanks loads!!!

Thanks for the video. In my case, the battery gets fully charged but when I turn it on, LED goes Blue, immediately Yellow, and then blinking Blue. Dyson tech chatted it as being temperature issue. Thanks to your video, I cleaned SV04 and now no problem. It seems that the problem was caused by blocked air passage and motor overheated. Glad I found this video.

I love your video. You explain everything so clearly, I am kind of a disaster with this type of thing. You made it a piece of cake. Excellent video, thanks. I'd looked at other videos on disassembly and cleaning these but your video is the best I've found. Maybe a little wordy but definitely right on target. My SV04 is running much better and for longer period of time for sure. I also found another tip of putting the unit beck into the charger cradle and holding the on button down for 10-15 seconds to reset. Remove from the cradle and run the vacuum. That does work and cycling with that sequence has also seemed to help mine to run longer. Not sure if it is just draining the batteries better or rebalancing, but it does seem to work. The pre filter disassembly and internal cleaning is spot on. I don't think my wife has ever replaced that filter and it's probably 5 years old. Pretty nasty inside to say the least. Cleaned it and dried it in a pre heated over of 200F (turned the oven off for frying the filter). Worked great and I'll keep that as a spare and replace with a new filter. Thanks so much for your video.
Same problem but I can't remove the inside filter .... so off to Dyson, because in Australia their after sales service is fantastic. Now I can do a better regular clean, not just the top filter. Very informative. Thank you!
Hello Mr. Rubins. THANK YOU so much for this awesomely detailed and informative video. I have a regular V6 that I use infrequently that stopped working, probably due to power issues. I visited the Dyson web site and their troubleshooter/sales assistant said I needed a new battery. But at $95 a pop, I decided that I needed to do some actual investigating on my own. The V6 has no lights of any color or flashing pattern, even when plugged directly into it's charger. When I measured the charger's output voltage it was on spec at 26.1V. It looks like there is a replacement battery in my future. Hopefully, it will be reasonably priced. Thanks to your video, my V6 has been safely disassembled and cleaned (for the most part.) Unfortunately, along the way I found that my tool bin lacks a T9 Torx bit. Oh well.
This is the most informative video! My vacuum has been cutting off 30 seconds into using. I took mine all apart and I was absolutely amazed at the build up! I am very hopeful that this will fix my battery issue. Thank you so very much for the info!
Had the same issue but it was just the top or bottom piece getting clogged, at least the Dyson has a "shut off" rather than it burning out the motor. Awesome video next cleaning I will do that internal cleaning with all the "cyclone" pipes.
This didn't fix mine that was doing the exact same thing and was ready to throw it away. Mine would run about 20 seconds and stop and flash blue - instantly went to this one day after having worked fine. I found another tip online that fixed it - AFTER doing a full cleaning job as you describe: Unplug AC from wall for a a minute to reset it. Plug back in. Put vacuum on charger. Press and hold trigger for 15 seconds. Release. Take off charger and it works. Apparently this resets some threshold for the battery sensor is my guess.
Hi, I know you did this video years ago, but I come back to it often to clean out my V6. Can you tell me why the battery is not charged after I have cleaned it out( as per your video)? My thinking is the battery should be charged still after you’ve cleaned it & the resistance has been eliminated. Your clean out did fix my vacuum & it worked- I was able to restore 16-17m of constant run time. I had to recharge, as you did in the video. Thanks Jennifer from Canada.
Those conical sections are to create centrifugal force in the air stream in order to create another form of filtration, look up shop vacuum dust buddy. Also the build up of dust is going to happen in all environments regardless of humidity levels. In the case of air moving at all, air creates static electricity which will cause strong bonds between the plastics inside the machine and the dust that runs through it.
oshawaxpress Your post doesn't even make sense(I'll copy and paste it so you can't edit it). Try learning something basic, like how to write and convey ideas through the written word before critiquing others. But, from what I can extrapolate from your senseless garble, the factors you state, in deed would contribute to the amount of accumulation. But, of course you obviously missed the point of dust accumulation in spite of your stated factors, 'Buddy'🙄 Original post: "Humidity levels and speed and degree dust accumulation are directly related, 'buddy'"
Thought my battery was knackered (15 seconds of use) and found this video by accident. Found dirt in all the places you mentioned. Everything drying now so will see if it works tomorrow.
Turns out I had an issue with MAX mode only which is a battery issue and getting a replacement from Dyson (on the house luckily) - works in normal mode for 15 mins - didn’t have a before and after but I’m sure the clean helped heaps. Thanks!
I just ordered a new battery before watching this video! I will try the extra clean to see if it does indeed help. My unit stops after a few seconds! It is 3.5 years old also! I was told battery issue by Dyson on the phone.
@@retrotechandelectronics It looks like it maybe the battery. I'm still waiting for a delivery. I cleaned out all the filters and it ran for only 10mins without them in. When I put them back I was lucky to get 1min!
Very helpfu,l but I've not risked the.thorough service this video shows. I've had my V6 animal for almost 5 years and for the last year it has only held about a 10minute charge, which I have managed with. I had washed the filter as required by the instructions on a regular basis, and when the dust canister fell off a couple of times I gave the base of the purple unit a few slaps w0ith my hand, which produced more dust and what might be the other solidified stuff buried more deeply ( because it has come out formed into little pills). I'm now going to put the expensive new battery in place. I found removing the 2 screws that held the old one 'difficult and it was even harder to remove the battery, which this site has helped me with.
Thanks for the instructions. Especially that you can take the filter apart. That was really ewww inside. It's now squeaky clean. I didn't have to remove the last bit. After a blow through with my compu clean, wearing a mask of course, it looked perfect. Now I am just waiting for everything to dry.
Thanks so much, thought I needed a new battery, same exact error, found the inside was full of fine dust it was crazy. Just all drying it now for 24 hours, fingers crossed!
@@retrotechandelectronics Yeah it's still not working :( just goes for twenty seconds then blue light flashes again. I didn't have any canned air on hand, so I didn't blow out the vents but I will take it apart and try that again, someone else made a video where they said you can disconnect that component from the motor and then rinse it with water as well. ua-cam.com/video/p3DgP1cim7w/v-deo.html
Nice tutorial mate. This was very well done and "in plain english"....oh and very helpfull. Thankyou this solved my problem and saved me $60 for the new battery the shop guy told me would fix my problem. Clearly it wouldn't have.
Sir, I have also dismantled my dysfunctional V6 Dyson curious about cyclones and how the impressive sucking occurs making Dyson so impressive and not suck ? The air speed is increased using turns in the multi channel cyclone design, the down side is more places dirty air has to pass to be caught. Anyways when i point the air compressor gun tip around the smallest inside ring underneath and use a mask , copious amounts fly out the big screen and without the extra skills needed to diamante is my point at last . Great production .Lol
Bought one used so giving it a good cleaning while waiting for a new battery. Once you remove the screws, that cone assembly underneath comes out easily. New filters are $2 shipped from China on ebay. Also check out the comments below since the white cyclone head can be removed and rinsed out. If you remove the cyclone, all the plastic parts can be rinsed without having to using compressed/can air.
Great video. This also clearly illustrates the overdesign nature of this Dustin model. Basically you have a battery driving a suction vacuum that has a really really complicated filter design. It’s surprising as Dyston is usually clever but this design seems like the old way.
Great informative vid mate. Usual problem though . Everyone cleans with the Vacuum,,, BUT NOBODY cleans the Vacuum . Lol. Had plenty of Dysons from local recycling centre, 99% work, just need good clean . Hopefully I will be as Rich as Mr Dyson soon . 😁😁👍👍😎
Hi Thanks for the video. My vacuum wasn’t clogged like yours but after cleaning as you did the battery lasts sooo much longer & it seems to pick up sooo much more. Again thanks
Before you start, you might want to run a couple of experiments to make sure that you do in fact have to disassemble the filter canister. First, charge up the battery and see how long the motor runs with the filter canister attached. Then remove the filter canister (but don't bother cleaning it yet), charge up the battery and run the same experiment. If it runs quite a bit longer without the filter canister, then wash the removable filter, let it dry, and try the experiment again. If simply washing the removable filter doesn't do the trick, then you can try disassembling the canister.
Thanks so much for the informative video, I have just cleaned mine, so will be interested to see if this improves it turning off after only a couple of minutes.
Great help, thank you. I was looking for a new battery and thought I'd check UA-cam first. Luckily I found your video. Thanks from isolation in Australia. I'll give Gumball's Gameroom's tip a try next time.
Thanks for the tips! We have an Dyson animal. Just for the record the battery is doing good so far. But it does need cleaning as per this video. Thanks again.
@@retrotechandelectronics Well 4 days later ... I cleaned it up real good. Put a new cone filter in because I had one and I wanted the least amount of resistance. It lasted for 24:32. I thought that was pretty good. I did put the old cone filter back in and I will start checking it quarterly. Have a safe new years eve!
I don’t disagree with your method of trying to clean the cylindrical filter. Most people don’t have access to compressed air like you and me. I actually managed to turn one of these filters inside out to check after spending time trying to clean it, it was still bunged up solid in the bottom third. So it was changed. This is why I said it’s a bad design, because any filter I’ve had dealings with, be it on car, plane etc. you can easily see both sides of the filter. Joe public will take it out of the vac, see that it looks ok and put it back. The earlier Dyson effectively came apart in two halves exposing a palm size filter you could see both sides and clean easily. Max
Thank you for this information. I've been on the fence about buying my first Dyson after seeing so many comments about the battery failing in 2 - 6 months, but if it's just a maintenance issue, I can handle that.
I have a 4-year-old Dyson model: DC59.with a Battery pack of 6 cells (VTC4)21.6V,2100mAh,46Wh. The battery is not showing any light when put to charge. Since it was sparsely used I checked the charger which did not show any output voltage. I replaced it. Even after the change, I don’t see any lights! What’s the reason? Do I need to change the battery? If so then which make ?
Thank you, I have a three-year-old DC59. Did exactly as you showed, carefully. The dust (wow) used my compressor air gun. Everything came apart and went back as you said. My battery NG red light flashing, warranty up. Do you have to use their $95.00 replacement or one online much cheaper the same 21.6V 4000mAH?
Be aware that those super cheap batteries you find on amazon, didnt pass QC for longevity, so they were repackaged by some off-brand and sold at a discount. Do you really save money if you only get 6 months to a year out of it?

Thanks. Over done on the dust removal I think. As if dust stops its ability then they would not work period. My gosh everyone does cleaning videos. Mine is clean! It shuts off after 10 seconds on high setting. Low works fine. But sometimes I want to use high! High kills it after 10 secs and then it won't even turn on at all. Has to be put back on charger. Then it will work later on. Great video. But I figure lots of this cleaning is redundant. These things are tough and will normally work even with a partial clog!
I dunno. I think a vacuum with no bag is expected to have at least a degree of maintenance over time. They could have done better with the design and diagnostic though.
Retro Tech & Electronics ok it’s all clean and back together and it’s been charging for over 24 hours whilst the filters dried in the sun. When it’s in charge it’s a solid blue light. When I take it off it flashes red. I threw away the manual so I have no idea. My guess is the battery is done.
5 being the number of screws (5) T9 screws . A search on amazon for a Torx screwdriver set shows results for under 10 dollars. Also a flat driver or putty knife to separate the plastic pieces on their snaps, and an air compressor to blow out the unit.
Awesome video - had tape cleaned the filter before....taking it apart revealed a horror show! Everything is now drying and expect it to work much much better
@@retrotechandelectronics yea popped over to a mates to use his compressor and kept blowing dust out, and the odd noticeable chunk, but it was a good few rounds of blaster out - hoping to get it back together tonight as filter is on the radiator, I was very close to buying a new battery.
Hi. Thanks for the video, not sure if you are still replying to questions. I had the same problem, so I followed what you suggested, and washed out the cyclone section after detaching it. And there was a bit of crud in the filter, which I cleaned, washed and dried. The vacuum now lasts for the long time on normal mode, which is good, but if I swap to turbo it cuts out in a minute or so. If I put it back in the charger for a few seconds the blue light comes back on, and I can use it again (but not for long on turbo). Any ideas?
Ive seen this before, as it relates to a sensor or the battery itself, but only in turbo mode. I have a particular unit that does this without any obstruction and am waiting to replace the battery to isolate this very issue.
well I did what you said it didn't seem to make much difference, now I don't know if it was coincidence but the boost was on so I turned it off and its been fine since. do you know how long the average battery life last mine is 2 years old maybe it needs a new one
Thx for the video Retro Tech! I’m cleaning mine out now, but my major issue is the battery. Red light flashing indicating the battery is dead, but I just got through the entire house, it died where I thought it should and then never recharged... So no noticeable loss in battery life, but now dead... I’d rather have some diminished time like yours did. Is there any way to check or refresh these batteries? This would be my second replacement battery. First one died the same way. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
I have exactly the same issue but i have dismantled it completely, fully cleaned it and it still does the same. Orange blip and following blue pulsating light. I don't know what else can I do since it does the same thing even with just the motor (nothing else attached to it, no cyclone, no piping, nothing) Could it be the case that just the battery is bad?
@@retrotechandelectronics Thanks, looks like mine has some hair got stuck at the brushbar rotor area, which I cant open. I think this cause resistance and generate heat/drain the battery.
@@retrotechandelectronics You're awesome. Please dont go deeper into the electrical, I dont think that's the case. Again, it's where we slide the brush bar into rotatable black plastic spiral. Lots of hair got stuck behind it. Thanks. again.

Run fully charged in the air after cleaning with no filter in and see if the problem persists. If so, it may be the battery. If not, a further obstruction

Worked for me too. So annoying that something that simple can waste so much time
Hi, I know you did this video years ago, but I come back to it often to clean out my V6.
It may be possible after all of these years you are just ready for a new battery
amzn.to/3RcRTBg
i was about to order a battery until i saw your video. My V6 is working like new again, Many thanks
Glad to hear it!
I tried this and it improved my battery life from 3 mins to 13 mins...thank you!
Glad to hear it worked for you.
Humidity levels and speed and degree dust accumulation are directly related, 'buddy'
oshawaxpress Your post doesn't even make sense(I'll copy and paste it so you can't edit it). Try learning something basic, like how to write and convey ideas through the written word before critiquing others.
But, from what I can extrapolate from your senseless garble, the factors you state, in deed would contribute to the amount of accumulation. But, of course you obviously missed the point of dust accumulation in spite of your stated factors, 'Buddy'🙄
Original post: "Humidity levels and speed and degree dust accumulation are directly related, 'buddy'"
Great video my Dyson just done the same thing my husband and I are just cleaning it all now your video helped us out heaps thanks champ.
Glad I could help!
Thought my battery was knackered (15 seconds of use) and found this video by accident. Found dirt in all the places you mentioned. Everything drying now so will see if it works tomorrow.
Let us know if it improved.
Still cut out unfortunately. The thing was filthy on the inside though especially in the filter
Turns out I had an issue with MAX mode only which is a battery issue and getting a replacement from Dyson (on the house luckily) - works in normal mode for 15 mins - didn’t have a before and after but I’m sure the clean helped heaps. Thanks!
Thank you so much, mine had gone right down to 30 seconds of run time and now is working again... can’t thank you enough 👍
Great to hear! You're welcome
I just ordered a new battery before watching this video! I will try the extra clean to see if it does indeed help. My unit stops after a few seconds! It is 3.5 years old also! I was told battery issue by Dyson on the phone.
Was it the battery or the restriction from dirt?
@@retrotechandelectronics It looks like it maybe the battery. I'm still waiting for a delivery. I cleaned out all the filters and it ran for only 10mins without them in. When I put them back I was lucky to get 1min!
@@marklaricchia sounds like both issues.
At a minimum, how they recommend filter cleaning does nothing compared to separating and blating with water from the inside out.
Thanks for the instructions. Especially that you can take the filter apart. That was really ewww inside. It's now squeaky clean. I didn't have to remove the last bit. After a blow through with my compu clean, wearing a mask of course, it looked perfect. Now I am just waiting for everything to dry.
Glad it helped
Thanks so much, thought I needed a new battery, same exact error, found the inside was full of fine dust it was crazy. Just all drying it now for 24 hours, fingers crossed!
Post back how it turns out.
Glad I was able to help!
Yeah video saved my day ... make my wife happy , I cleaned the room , thanks buds.
Glad I could help
Great video. That's my Saturday morning sorted!
Good way to save money.
Anyways when i point the air compressor gun tip
around the smallest inside ring underneath and use a mask , copious amounts fly out the big screen and without the extra skills needed to diamante is my point at last .
This is true, if you are will to completely disassemble everything. Many are not willing to go that deep.
Great video. This also clearly illustrates the overdesign nature of this Dustin model. Basically you have a battery driving a suction vacuum that has a really really complicated filter design. It’s surprising as Dyston is usually clever but this design seems like the old way.
This design wasnt their finest for the dust bin
Great informative vid mate.
Usual problem though .
Everyone cleans with the Vacuum,,, BUT NOBODY cleans the Vacuum . Lol.
Had plenty of Dysons from local recycling centre, 99% work, just need good clean . Hopefully I will be as Rich as Mr Dyson soon . 😁😁👍👍😎
Very useful, thank you.
Was down to 30 seconds of run time off each ‘charge’...cleaned it up and now back to what it should be!
Glad it worked for you.
Hi Thanks for the video. My vacuum wasn’t clogged like yours but after cleaning as you did the battery lasts sooo much longer & it seems to pick up sooo much more. Again thanks
Glad I could help, This will also put less strain on the battery and motor.
That’s the best advice I found. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Greetings from South Africa. This video has been a life saver!! Great video.
Glad it helped.
Thank you very much! Spot on, we cleaned it and it works like new. Resistance was the answer.
Glad to help!
Thank you. Turns out filter was full of compacted dust and dirt. Confident that this will fix cutting out issue.
It should.
All good ideas.
Really helpful video and with the tip from Gumball's Gamesroom our vacuum is as clean as can be. Thanks
Happy to help!
Thanks so much for the informative video, I have just cleaned mine, so will be interested to see if this improves it turning off after only a couple of minutes.
Thanks for sharing, let us know how it turns out.
Great help, thank you. I was looking for a new battery and thought I'd check UA-cam first. Luckily I found your video. Thanks from isolation in Australia. I'll give Gumball's Gameroom's tip a try next time.
No idea what this means, but you are welcome!

Great stuff Jordan - saved me buying a new battery. Thank you.
Very welcome!
excelent video , solved my problem of cutting out after 30 seconds..
Glad I could help
Thanks for the tips! We have an Dyson animal. Just for the record the battery is doing good so far. But it does need cleaning as per this video. Thanks again.
Might be a good idea to time the battery as I did to empty as a baseline.... use tape and a stopwatch
@@retrotechandelectronics that's exactly what I plan on doing tomorrow after cleaning it.

Thank you for this information. I've been on the fence about buying my first Dyson after seeing so many comments about the battery failing in 2 - 6 months, but if it's just a maintenance issue, I can handle that.
I have not had any battery issues to speak of.
Thank you. My cleaner is now working fine after spending time cleaning it as you suggest.
Glad I could help. Easy and quick maintenance that saves you lots of money!
Wow... Looks like my chargers on two Dysons (SV03 & a much older handheld BP01) have failed.... thanks for the tip to check the charger first.
Glad I could help
I have a 4-year-old Dyson model: DC59.with a Battery pack of 6 cells (VTC4)21.6V,2100mAh,46Wh. The battery is not showing any light when put to charge. Since it was sparsely used I checked the charger which did not show any output voltage. I replaced it. Even after the change, I don’t see any lights! What’s the reason? Do I need to change the battery? If so then which make ?
Fantastic video you made it so easy for me to take apart and clean and now it works a treat! thank you so much for a great video.
Glad it helped
Fabulous, saved me the price of a new battery, thank you
Great to hear!
Great walk-through. I'm thinking my battery is cactus though as it still won't run at all?
Its a possibility if its totally dead and wont charge.

Big big thank for video save my Dyson and money . Quality video
Im glad you found it helpful.
Thanks so much. I was ready to spend another $300 because I love this sweeper. You made my week. Great instructions!
Glad to hear it helped!
Done this but i also took the White nozzles off also with the gasket intact and washed that also
I thought about that, but the air compressor was able to blast that section out sufficiently.
The thumbs down are from Dyson 😁, they aren't making money. This guy is saving folks.
I dunno. I think a vacuum with no bag is expected to have at least a degree of maintenance over time. They could have done better with the design and diagnostic though.
@@retrotechandelectronics Nah I agree, just being cheeky👍. I really love the innovation they have put into their vacuums over the years.
Thanks man. I have the exact same model and mine needs this big service. Your the best.
Here to help!
Ha I’m still watching it as I’m doing it right now. Jammed full of dirt n dust.
Let us know the performance increase after the procedure is completed.
Please provide the types of tools needed for this project. I want to try it before I replace the battery. Specifically what is a 5T9 hex screwdriver?
5 being the number of screws (5) T9 screws . A search on amazon for a Torx screwdriver set shows results for under 10 dollars. Also a flat driver or putty knife to separate the plastic pieces on their snaps, and an air compressor to blow out the unit.
Mine needed a Torx 8 driver
Awesome video - had tape cleaned the filter before....taking it apart revealed a horror show! Everything is now drying and expect it to work much much better
You will see that disassembly and doing it with this method is a night and day difference.
@@retrotechandelectronics yea popped over to a mates to use his compressor and kept blowing dust out, and the odd noticeable chunk, but it was a good few rounds of blaster out - hoping to get it back together tonight as filter is on the radiator, I was very close to buying a new battery.
Thank you ,your video was so easy to follow and so helpful so once again a big Thank You .👍

Glad it worked!
Thank you very much this VDO help a lot to DIY.
You're welcome!
I was sceptical but it worked...thanks
Glad to hear.
@@retrotechandelectronics OK, thanks, if you have any news I would appreciate an update.
Thank you my Hoover is working now

well I did what you said it didn't seem to make much difference, now I don't know if it was coincidence but the boost was on so I turned it off and its been fine since. do you know how long the average battery life last mine is 2 years old maybe it needs a new one
There is something about the boost on this model..... Id suggest never using it.
Wow, dismantled my (top) filter like you did, found even more crud inside mine than yours!
It can be pretty nasty. Especially if you had never opened it before.
Great video! I had the same problem, this is probably going to fix it.
It should, let me know.
It is hard to say without being able to test it directly.
This might be in fact a battery issue. You can buy a larger volume after market battery on Amazon
*I do find your video really helpfull. But I wish it also include on how to properly clean the motorhead*
I didn't have a situation where the filter was compromised, necessitating this level of cleaning.
@@retrotechandelectronics Thanks, looks like mine has some hair got stuck at the brushbar rotor area, which I cant open. I think this cause resistance and generate heat/drain the battery.
Dad's Account I’ll look at that. If I go to deep into the electrical it will be out of scope or a safety issue for most people to repair.
@@retrotechandelectronics You're awesome. Please dont go deeper into the electrical, I dont think that's the case. Again, it's where we slide the brush bar into rotatable black plastic spiral. Lots of hair got stuck behind it. Thanks. again.
If u don't mind tell me what may b the problem my dayson was working normally after charging it works for one minute then when i pull the trigger it give me only a blink of purple & red color when i put back to charger it lights purple for one minute then the light goes off i kept it 5 days to empty the battery still i have the same issue i wish u can guide me please thank u
If this happens after the maintenance was done, it could be in face a failed battery.
Can never do better than a swabby to figure stuff out. Thanks shipmate!

Thank you so much 👌 totally fixed my problem! Have a brilliant day 😁😁
Awesome, great to hear.
I did all the cleaning still only run for 30 seconds the vac 2 years old do you think the battery is knacked
Run fully charged in the air after cleaning with no filter in and see if the problem persists. If so, it may be the battery. If not, a further obstruction
At the end of the video, why not turn it on to show that it now works? Otherwise, a well-presented video.
