Constantly murdering beloved characters isn't good story telling. It's manipulative. Especially when you're replacing them with cookie cutter, 2D characters no one cares about.
if we combine this and what metzen teased about the sword and illidan, i think sargeras comes back to claim the sword, either in illidans body or something and he will be the one who kills Xal’Atath
It looked to me like dalaran was teleported away violently. There's debris, but not enough to be the whole city. Maybe a bit of a struggle between zalataths teleportation and the magic keeping dalaran stationary. She got most of it. Also in one of the scenes, you see her being engulfed by the same void ball that takes kadgar and the city, so again, I'm thinking mass void teleport. Maybe below ground, maybe so where else.
i think it will be cool... bcz its set the thone for Midnight with nobady is safe rule... and if they keep get rid of major characters maybe in the future we get a total reset of the game, a new game entairly were we can truly put those new machines pices (PC and Consoles) to the work they are made for... if they start kill people we love it might upset some like you but in the grand scheme of masterchess is never about the pions but the board and how you play with it and for now, the board is 20+ years old in WoW existence from 2004... we really need a grand new scheme of re do and remake not remastering the WoW universe .
No no no no no no no no no no no. Dadgar has Manduin level plot armor. He's gonna be a void slave and then a raid boss and he'll magically snap out of hit when we finally take out our angst about the legendary ring from WoD. We all remember the Apex Crystals.......
Khadgar's soul will be restored and reborn as an earthern dwarf he will then lead the alliance before betraying them and becoming the final boss in a raid called the siege of stormwind.
I don't think she destroyed all of Dalaran because in the cinematic she says " This city is home to so much power. All squandered by the Kirin Tor. I'll put it to much better use." That doesn't sound like she is going to destroy it. Instead she is usurping it. I think she ported it somewhere else, like the void
Honestly, I think this is a case similar to Malfurion/Ysera in Dragonflight. He's too powerful and too knowledgeable. When you do the scenario leading into the destruction of Dalaran, Alleria and Anduin both make mention about how we have to get to Khadgar. Alleria specifically says "He'll know what to do." This is to get him out of the way so we have to figure out what to do. People complained about sending Malfurion to Ardenweald to hang with the Winter Queen for a bit. it seemed cheap and forced. Now they've removed him an Tyrande for a bit as they're both resting in Bel'Ameth and have turned over leadership to Shandris.
Too unceremonious to kill Khadgar that way, we know he ain’t dead but we don’t know how or why. My money is on Medivh somehow interfering, the destruction of Atiesh, the fact he was corrupted by Sargeras in the first place who knew the true threat of the void. Something tells me the guardian has been waiting for this
I always wonder about these villains who say "Now the world is in my power and I will destroy it, I will rule forevahhhh!!!" Muahahaaha! I mean why? If they destroy it, then the world and the people are gone right? So what exactly do they have power over? Xala'tath: "Welcome to my beeeutiful giant pile of purple rubble where I rule absolutely bugger all, because I destroyed it for absolutely no bloody reason at all, other than to gloat."
So I love WoW lore. It's my number one favorite lore to research. But before WoW, I hyperfixated over Halo lore. With that said, I know a slipspace rupture when I see one. It's New Mombasa all over again.
If there would be a mission to rescue Khadgar and other prisoners we might learn more about the Old Gods, Void Lord's, Xa'latath herself and maybe get a glimpse of the Void Lords. I would laugh if they made Khadgar the Professor Xavier of Warcraft 😂
The thing I disliked about Khadgar in this cinematic is how he managed to finesse Medivh but as soon as he sees her he just fires a giant beam and that's it
Nah he's not dead. He's probably corrupted and we have to cure him or something. I can't see blizz doing the same mistake where he'll be killed off for good. Especially since he still has unfinished business with Medivh (as mentioned in Legion). He's likely a raid boss, we get him to 1% health, he snaps out of it, yay.
Unless the voice actor requested to be free due to his age killing a meme goldmine like Khadgar is storytelling suicide, especially if his death was so lame.
For people who claim to follow blizzard's story you should know by now Khadgar isn't dead, at worst he lost a hand - and Ateish. The writing is literally all over and on the wall. Blizzard is very straightforward with their deaths. when someone, especially a key character, dies. You fucking know without certainty, they're dead. Varian, Gul'dan, Kil'Jaeden, Garrosh, Vol'jin, Tirion, Rastakhan, Saurfang, etc etc. These are key characters that Blizzard made it specifically clear, no they're dead and not coming back. You saw their corpse. Their last words. There's zero chance they're alive. Blizzard specifically cut off the camera at Khadgar's hand. That is very intentional, if you think they'd kill off one of their primary characters that's been around - and is quite literally one of the community favorites without a proper send off, you have missed the entire narrative plot that is being setup, here.
@@ShadowKallig You're honestly ignoring that they're probably just going to make his "tWiStEd Le FoRm" a raid boss and kill him there, which is no better what so ever. Seige of Dalaran incoming. >:(
If Khadgar is physically changed by the Void through this experience, it would give Blizzard a chance to cast a new voice actor with a smiliar enough voice. It gives a decent in-game reason, for why he would sound different.
@matthewlawton9241 That is.. God I will never understand where people like you come from who lack narrative literacy. WoW has had its inconsistencies and retcons but good lord to generalize and then ignore the 99% of character deaths that are handled is just disingenuous. If Khadgar died in the Dalaran explosion, yeah it would be bad, I agree. But everything points to this not being the case, nor is there any indication he'll be a Raid boss. Literally just look at every character death prior, as well as Khadgar being a community favorite character. Are you genuinely so jaded you can't see the obvious? Lol
Ye would be nice to see dalaran being turned into a nyoloth like place for xalatath abd khadgar is stuck there an we go to it to defeat xalatath but get to her too late she leaves bt we manage to save khadgar

I do think we'll see Alleria seek out Sylvanas though. Remember from the three sisters comic, the Void was telling her to kill Sylvanas. And not because of what Sylvanas would do in BfA/Shadowlands because all that lead to N'Zoth's release, etc.
At the rate she was pulling, it was obvious that she was draining the mage batteries from that big tower and she probably just finished it when Khadgar found her and tried to stop her. Destroying it was a finishing move.
@Jeanetteblandix no no, walker saved khadgar, and khadgar will be changed by the void and walker will be like... "i know it seems like it sucks bruh, but let me show you some shit before I take you home". Than they appear at a pivotal moment and khadgar backhands xalatath.
“ This is not real fight” I knew he would be alive. I guess he met with locus Walker. That line showed it already. One more theory of mine proven its thrust
I could see Blizzard committing their usual theft/homage by giving us back Khadgar in the wheelchair like Christopher Pike in Star Trek. It didn't change who Captain Pike was inside that shell of a body; and Khadgar, once free of Xal's voice in his mind might very well be more powerful than ever, in both Arcane and Shadow-which could be a plot point partway through the trilogy, a step in eventually defeating her.
iv been thinking about if he was taken prisoner and then saw the wheelchair which cemented it for me in my braincanon. i hope kaddy lives as hes actually grown on me over the years. but why would they kill him when they can try tap into his knowledge and power n use that for their benefit
New cutscene confirms 100% that the dark heart doesn't just absorb arcane magic. As it was clearly seen siphoning off power from the void crystal in hallowfall. So much for that theory. Which I mean, I'm not even sure how ppl just assumed it only absorbed arcane energy.

So Khadgar is probably a prisoner now and I'd bet they're trying to corrupt him with the void. I'd wager they'll succeed but Alleria will turn him back by draining the void out of him.
5:30 I agree with you. The expanding void acted more like a black hole, consuming mass as it expanded. I think Khadgar and much of Dalaran is now in the void Xalatath is creating. Here is the real problem. Alleria might have some void abilities but she has shunned those powers. Alleria doesn't even know that aspect of herself or how to use those powers. S long as she refuses to do so we are screwed. That is why Xalatath is able to knock Alleria to her Knees with these psychic attacks. Alleria is pathetic.
I’m certain he’s not dead when it only showed his hand being taken. They wouldn’t do a character as important as Khadgar like that. My first thought was that portal theory…. But my second, preferred, theory was Medivh showing up at that moment and we’ll see the whole cinematic inside Dalaran in a later patch or next expansion of him being ported out.
The void bubble she used also engolfed her. Also, this was not an epic enough death a character of Khadgars importance. I would like to think everyone in the Lore department would recognize that. We wont see him change evil ether as this was already done with Anduin (temp) and Arthus so it would be too repeated.
I was searching some khadgar models on wowhead and found that blizzard added a new npc khadgar with the tag ''Dragonkin'' which I find interesting aswell. It was added in 11.0.0. On the same page you can see a lot of voicelines aswell, but I haven't looking far enough to see if those are new or not.
and think of it. why would she destroy the city she went to for power? she explicitly talked about how the kirin tor have a lot of power she "would put it to much better use". he didnt die. she's using him
I mean Atiesh is a legendary weapon but you have to remember it was already broken once before - we literally pieced together the shards from Vanilla. So I'm not entirely sure the staff was ever 100% again. This is just my logical thinking, in wow terms yes it was probably enchanted back into one solid piece of weaponry but I gotta think that staff broke easily... guess we will see! BTW I love your channel dude, keep up the good work.
I think Khadgar is alive but Turalyon is gonna die. If you don't see a character die they usually come back and if a character says they're not going anywhere they usually die. We didn't actually see Khadgar die and Turalyon told Alleria he's not going anywhere
honestly, what would be xalataths reason to destroy dalaran when she JUST mentioned how she is gonna make better use of dalarans power XD also with the mentioning of how xalatath seems related to ...guys who are wrapped in bandages and made of void...i wouldn't be surprised if khadgar was the first to be turned into one. or something similar
thank you for the spoiler, but to be fair it was expected. As someone mentioned, if the modern character does not give a dying line before seeing the light fade out of his eyes, most likely he did not die
I am of the mind that we will see Khadgar again, but corrupted. Perhaps as a boss in a raid or at least someone we have to confront/deal with in the continuing story.
I wonder if by breaking Atiesh, they plan on bringing it back as a reforged legendary or something. Like when it was originally obtainable and we had to collect the shards!
I don't mind NPC's perish, not even Khadgar, but it seems utterly stupid in this case. We haven't (almost) seen Khadgar since Legion, and to bring him back for a few cutscenes just to kill him seems a bit off limit.
I think thge dark heart absorbs not destroys. In a few patches, i expect the same to happen to us. We will in up in a dark dalaran floating in the void. Khadgar will be going mad because of the void whispers.

I'm calling it here. Madiv staff will be this expansion lego weapon. It's broken and we know mages love to fix it.
and think of it. why would she destroy the city she went to for power? she explicitly talked about how the kirin tor have a lot of power she "would put it to much better use". he didnt die. she's using him
Gotta a feeling he might be alive as well. I found it strange on why he would reach out into the "void bubble" like that.
Athiesh is broken.
People are seriously complaining about spoilers in the 20th soulless activision era WoW expansion? Damn you DESERVE to get spoiled
it would be quite funny if we fight crippled void-khadgar in wheelchair in later patches
I think Khadgar is alive but Turalyon is gonna die. If you don't see a character die they usually come back and if a character says they're not going anywhere they usually die. We didn't actually see Khadgar die and Turalyon told Alleria he's not going anywhere
We didn't see anything bad happen to Khadgar?!? Dude we literally saw him turn to dust in a voidball
honestly, what would be xalataths reason to destroy dalaran when she JUST mentioned how she is gonna make better use of dalarans power XD
also with the mentioning of how xalatath seems related to ...guys who are wrapped in bandages and made of void...i wouldn't be surprised if khadgar was the first to be turned into one. or something similar
I don't think dalaran really is destroyed at all, I honestly thinking this is an illusion because that's what she's good at
thank you for the spoiler, but to be fair it was expected. As someone mentioned, if the modern character does not give a dying line before seeing the light fade out of his eyes, most likely he did not die
I've played enough sci-fi games to know that's a portal lol there's always some explosion when you open a rift outside of a vacuum
Kangaroo gonna be wows version of a super sayian he's going to basically be a mage wilding void user
Didn’t Chris Metzen say no one isn’t dying this saga?
Khadgar becomes the Professor X of WoW
See you in the Shadowlands Khadgar lmao rip
Xal told Khadgar she was going to use Dalaran.
If there are creatures in the Violet Hold, think we’ll fight them again again, again?
Yes, void store souls.
I bet that Atiesh breaking summons Medivh to Khadgar’s aid.
I think thge dark heart absorbs not destroys. In a few patches, i expect the same to happen to us. We will in up in a dark dalaran floating in the void. Khadgar will be going mad because of the void whispers.
That wheelchair reminded me of the master mage from bloodborne
Heres what actually happened to khadgar:
He icedblocked last moment into great invisibility and then fcked off.
source : i seen it in a dream
I think he tekeported, he will be missing a hand ir sonething and arcane power will abandon him for one expansion.😛
khadgar is going to turn into badgar in the void dalaran raid
Watch xal'atath end up being some type of anti-hero not quite a good guy yet not essentially a bad guy somewhere stuck in between the 2
He did not live if Dalaran exploded with him in it
