I keep saying this on these videos, but this is simply fantastic! The scenery and the life you are enjoying doing this is awesome, and again, I want to thank you for taking us along to enjoy it with you!
Thank you very much
I love the aerial footage and perspective filming. It adds so much depth to the video. Well done bud. Great venue as well. Simply wonderful.

Hi Matt great work on this series. Loving the adventure.
❤❤❤
Fantastic scenery! Enjoying the drone footage🔥 keep up the good work👌🏻
Great first episode. Can’t wait to watch the rest. Fantastic scenery. This is no 1 on my bucket list. I have done Road to Hell in that area.
Wow! Amazing. Your cinematography is incredible
This looks like the beginning of the trip of a lifetime!
WOW ‐ It is absolutely beautiful. Fantastic videography too.
Very enjoyable content keep it up im looking forward to seeing the next part
Discovered your channel today for the first time and I think I’ve watched at least a dozen videos so far. You’re videos are entertaining, well filmed and share the scenery and atmosphere perfectly. You are making me very homesick!
I thought l knew South Africa thanks for these videos it make us to want to travel more
wonderful, thank you for sharing your country with me.
Beautiful country and loved the camping spot on the river!!
I have enjoyed Part 1 and look forward to Part 2. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, all the trees aregone onthe island now, and what is left seems dead. Nature will replenish itself, but it looks dramatically different from a year ago after the floods. Awesome video, great quality 👌
Liked and subscribed. An excellent production. Thank you for the production effort.
Hi Matt. Love the content. Would appreciate a video detailing your navigation equipment and setting routes like this one.
Awesome adventure
Very good vid..well done
Beautiful content
Quiver and dead man walking are two different trees. The dead man walking is tall and thin and looks north. You see a lot in the Rigtersveld
Hi Matt, thanks for taking us on a beautiful journey! Tried opening the link to your route using the Gaiamap app with no luck. I use T4A, would you please share the coordinates for your very first camp on the Orange River...just after Charles Pass. Have a great day! Tx Robert
Lovely video, pretty sure Pofadder was named after Klaas Pofadder, not the snake (puffadder) …
I love your videos. What program do you use to add those beautiful maps? Thanks
Awesome footage Matt. I wonder if I would be able to do this trip in my RAV4. You are so lucky to have a normal great wife as partner. My wife is bipolar crazy, mentally disordered. So unfortunately, I dare not consider her on an adventure like this.
Hi Matt, I love your channel (also have a Hilux Legend 50) and we are off to do the Namaqua Eco Trail next Friday, so I am holding my breath for your next episode!
How was it?
I’m looking at going in March

@@w65deon it was fantastic, although this year the river was really high so the camping was not on the normal sites, we had to camp further back from the river. It was so much fun we are doing it again next year!
Lekker Mat
Hey Matt. Dude where is the share your Gaia map, please.😊
Hi Matt, how did you do the booking of the camp sites along the trail? Thanks for sharing that information!
Glad to have found your channel! Do you need to book this trail, and could one take a dog with?
Yes, you need to book it. I’m not sure if pets are allowed
BIG, BIG Leopard and Baboon country you went through here , Matt…… you get the odd Kudu here to!!!
Great video as always, really looking forward to the rest of the series!
A question if I may: When you are driving on the long stretch gravel sections, do you travel in 2H or 4H?
In my humble opinion it is in these driving conditions that the Mitsubishi Super Select II system really shines & out performs the Toyota, as the MItsubishi can be driven in full-time 4x4 (which is obviously far safer).
What are your thoughts on this?
Cheers Boet.
I switch to 4x4 as soon as I hit the gravel, much more control. It takes a second to switch so I don’t see any disadvantage to the Mitshubishis but I agree the super select is great. My dad has a Pajero and has gone everywhere in it.
@@mattdubber thanks Matt, appreciate the feedback.
I suppose Mitsubishi's advantage is that it can be used on sealed surfaces in 4WD where the Toyota can't.
cheers
Hi Matt
What is the budget for the 7 days trip an how much did u spent awesome videos like it very much
Hi Matt, thanks for the videos! When did you do this trip?
I did it in September last year!
@@mattdubber Shot! I was there in June/July and being in flood the river and campsites looked very different! Loved it though...
Hello Matt where do you get the permits for this trip ?
Can anyone please advise where one has to book this trail?
Hi Matt. Can you get in touch? A client may be interested in some of the footage you have for licensing. Cheers
If I may ask, what time of the tear where you guys there??
It was in September 👍🏻
What GPS device are you using
It’s the Garmin inReach mini for satellite connectivity and Gaia GPS app with downloaded maps 👍🏻
Hey Matt, messaged you on your FB messenger.
