The David Attenborough of overlanding! This was such an incredible trip and so happy we finally got to link up after all of these years. One for the books buddy and can’t wait for the next time our paths cross!
Your American lady friend was surprised not to see more people out there, well, Overlanding is out of reach for most of us. That's why i watch these episodes. From what I've seen and heard, she's going to need at least a year to travel Africa. Thanks for sharing bud...... The rig looks awesome 🤙
What a great line-up. So different, yet so similar. All you need is the Toyota Troopy with the Alu-Cab Hercules roof conversion, and you'll have the complete range of Alu-Cab options. 😁
Personal opinion is a SUV like a defender/troopy or a jeep here in the U.S. with some interior living offers something extra with interior living space. There is a difference in camping and living, and that requires interior living.....love the videos and love getting to see Africa, thank you.
Thanks for the feedback! Tango is hard to beat that’s for sure! Character, comfort and offroad prowess… that’s a dynamite package! I must say though for my setup, just having that bit of space to sit in the tent and have a back rest and table, was sooo good on my 30 day trip I just returned from. It just helped Bridge the gap with some indoor comfort on some of those windy, cold and drizzly days.
Very nice, another good watch, as always. I do however believe there could not be any "singular" BEST vehicle. Most certainly a "better" vehicle than perhaps any similarly comparable one. "Live in" vs "live out of" and personal preference also plays a huge role when deciding on one's "personal ultimate" and purpose built vehicle. All round great content though, really informative as well as entertaining.
Thanks! The title is definitely more of a rhetorical question! 😋 I was hoping people would get out of this video, that your vehicle is the best one! Because we tweak them and make them perfect for ourselves. 👌🏻 glad you enjoyed it!
Loved this and signed up for your up coming trips. Having watched a few episodes your film making is just getting better and better….loving it. After you have used your rig for a while it would be great to get a what’s worked…do differently type of thing. Finally, what make are your seat covers?
So I see you steered clear of sharing your preference. Being a Troopy Conversion guy I would take the Landy Hands Down. Sorry😜. And what’s with the tease comment on the tented camp if we are never to Know🤔? Now I just REALLY want to know😩🤣
It’s a rhetorical question 😋 the best one is the one you have and that gets you out on your adventures 👏🏻 all I’ll say is they had a brandy and coke special
Happy for you to skip it buddy! I have some viewers who have been following me for years and they are very interested in what goes on the vehicle etc, so it’s to show them and chat about the changes. But you must definitely watch and enjoy the rest of the episode after that bit! 👍🏻
Ad would you scare Oversea Overlanders by telling them its Unsafe in SA like Andrew St Pier white is Spreading Overseas, specifically with regards to this kind of lifestyle, OVERLANDING.?
I wouldn’t scare anyone away, our country isn’t perfect, but it’s beautiful and most people are friendly and excited to share their world and cultures 👍🏻 Overlanding is definitely safe, but obviously always have to be cautious of where you are and about leaving your vehicle unattended with lots of valuable equipment
5 minutes of intro bro... It is really boring to watch. Go to the details and not how happy you are and amazed with new version of your cars. sorry to gave up after 5 minutes of watching
You should just watch the whole show, and skip past the part you don’t like. But some people like to know about the updates and changes before the episode starts. So you’re doing yourself a disservice by skipped the whole episode 😋
I feel like I've missed a few videos. Well that just means time to binge watch this weekend and give a little boost to your session times.👍😉 🏕🛠💪 I think I've heard of alucab the name seems familiar 🤔. I'm sure you will put it to the test. Congratulations on your partnership. All 3 rigs are cool. Love the orange on the defender. But gotta be honest and say the comfort of the hilux has me. The pop top roof/tent / second story is a good use of space. Great scenery you look like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing 👍

❤️ I think we our paths HAVE TO cross. Send me an InReach pin and I’ll come find you 😋
Glad to see you packed the absolute essentials - HP Sauce 😁 Enjoy the adventure
As a Hilux owner and lover I must say, a Land Rover 110 looks DAMN good!
Tango is such a beauty! 🤟🏻 love it!
Do you have a new diesel? Any problems with diesel quality in africa?
It's always great to meet and travel with like minded people. It makes the experiences shared more memorable.
Absolutely 💯
Having fun is what it’s all about!
Yes sirrr!
Damn!....those Alucab products rock!
Fantastic new rig. Looking forward to your Namibia solo trip.

So much fun! We gotta meet up sometime still! 👌🏻

I grab my popcorn and watch the comment section 😂
hahaha! I am here with you! Lets go! 🤓
😂😂😂
Great episode camping at its best

Lovely video
Thanks
I have lost count how much has this vehicle changed over the last 3years 😂😂😂
Hahaha even me 🤣

Amazing camper 🔥
It really is!
@Adrian...curious about your average fuel consumption with the current rig..Km/Lt??
Lots 🤣 7.2km/L - 9.8km/L on the open road depending on the wind, and then 4.5-5km/L offroad and in thick sand
Hoe kom jy van so goeie verhouding met bushtech af na Siedaar alu-cab ondersteuner .Dis soos om te bekeer van n bloubul af na n allblack toe .
I am still very much so working with BushTech 👌🏻 they are like family 👍🏻
when are coming to namibia
I have just recently returned from the Namibia trip, so the episode will be going up soon!
So I see you steered clear of sharing your preference. Being a Troopy Conversion guy I would take the Landy Hands Down. Sorry😜.

@@RoamOverlanding 😜
Watching you from Kenya Bro ❤️🎤
Really hope alucab sponsor uncle Andy for a rooftop tent! The old soldier needs a new house on top 😂
Hahaha 🤣 I think uncle Andy is loving his amazing fuel consumption right now too much to worry about rooftop tent 😂😂
@@RoamOverlanding true true!
The Defender is classic and more stylish. Hilux works much better. It's up to everyone what they choose. 😉 Maybe an LC78 with a lifting roof.😀
I definitely wouldn’t say no to one 🤣
Adrian seems to have mastered the art of getting a lady in South Africa, you get her in your bakkie😏
I obviously haven’t mastered it yet, they don’t seem to stay long in the bakkie 🤣😅
Nice 👍
Hi just wanted to check , is ur Hilux manual or auto ? And then why etc 👍
Auto! Because I’m lazy and often with my solo filmmaking I need one hand on a camera and one on the wheel, so changing gears can be tricky 😂
Where is your Jimny?
I sold it 3 years ago 😅 welcome back 🤣
Ok
People bought Land Rovers because they are the best overland vehicles ever build...
I am here for the comments😅😅😅
Even me 🤣
You guys should come and camp at Kruger national park one day. I am a big fan and truly inspired.
I will surely check it on the channel.
Troop carrier with roof conversion
Count the "little" 's?🤣
I know I have a problem
The first three minutes were too much for me, it seems I was looking at a sales ad rather than an overland video

Neither of those two. Best overlanding vehicle is a Jeep. Fight me.
🤣 you can fight with yourself
@@RoamOverlanding 😂😂 Exactly, Adrian! You know they can't hold a candle to a Jeep Gladiator or Wrangler. 😜
