- A bright sunny morning, and I'm on my way to the Polling Station to cast my vote. I thought I'd get in there very early to avoid queues. Don't really want to spend too much of my life on things like this; would much rather be noting stuff in a local tea rooms :)
My TN is with me, which includes a fountain pen, biro, and a pencil. Not sure what they used nowadays, but soon found out.
I was a bit surprised with the whole thing actually. Particularly the volunteers outside checking ID, where one of them was wearing a party badge. Thought they were supposed to be neutral as to not consciously or unconsciously influence people?
Thanks for watching!
Afternoon Barry. Just off to the coffee shop and library, via the Polling Station with the new photo ID process. Love this video ❤
Hello Nick - by the time you read this I hope you managed to avoid the queues, and had a splendid coffee and creative writing experience :)
I voted this morning but sadly no notebook.
A couple of weeks ago I went into a coffee shop on my own and it was a strange experience, I realised it was years since I last went on my own but I settled on a seat in the corner ,(I had dropped off my grandson and he was coming back in a couple of hours). I took out my TN which I have had for a number of years, for the first time in public and I have to say it was a pleasurable experience.
Next stop will be my sketch book. 😀
Take care.
Ah that is brilliant!! Excellent news!! First of many I hope! It's so good just to grab a drink and sit and make notes. Taking my sketchbook out in public for the first time was a bit strange initially as people are naturally curious and more inclined to try and sneak a peak at what you're sketching :)
I took my notebook to the last election we had a few months ago with the candidates I wanted to vote for written down. If I don't write stuff down I forget. Sometimes I still forget 'cos I forget to check my notes.
It would be funny turning up with a full notebook or binder of candidate profiles, photos, press releases, articles, quotes, etc., - you'd be well-armed indeed :))
Voting is a great privilege. Sadly politics is often a strange and tragic world. For us here in the U.S. it is both at the moment
Agreed. It's the same all over the world it seems.
