You don't see too many movies which have a great soundtrack and opening credits, that then turn out to be shit. It's like if the creators put the thought in to make that part good, then the rest is usually good, too.
This opening sequence is SO good that the song "Too Hot To Stop Now" can't be used in any other movie or at least without giving all credit to Superbad.
I got dragged to see this when I was 17..had never seen a trailer or heard of it. Just being a high school senior that year and everything about this movie makes it my greatest theatre experience ever.
OMG! I love this song! Me and my cousin can do this whole dance! We learned how to and it is so much fun! Now ever time we see each other, we start doing it!
When I first saw this opening credits sequence, I thought the movie was going to be set in the year 1976 as a throwback tribute to the 70s raunchy drive-in sex comedies due to the Bar Kays 'Too Hot to Stop' and other 70s era songs on the movie soundtrack as well as the old Columbia Pictures logo. Not set in the 1970s, and a slightly misleading opening, but I though the that the rest of the film was great none-the-less.
As soon as the movie began and I saw this all my apprehensions went away about whether or not the movie would be any good. It was just as fabulous as the credits made it seem!
I rented this at Hollywood Video along with Hot Rod. Halfway through the mini mart scene in the first five minutes my dad turned it off. Didn’t see the whole movie for at least 2-3 years after that.
lol I love this movie and the opening kicks ass. Michael Cera's dance moves from 00:27 to 00:32 looks like he is doing tricks with an invisible soccer ball. ^_^ Wouldn't be surprised if he has played a lot of soccer.
@EderRedfield ya it is, there are other videos of them dancing in front of a blue screen that they use for the camera work, like without silouhettes :)
As soon as this came on you knew this was going to be a good movie
IKR the movie was lit

This movie came out when I was a junior in high school. I remember being amazed at how accurate it’s portrayal was of the mind of a 17 year old boy
As soon as the movie began and I saw this all my apprehensions went away about whether or not the movie would be any good. It was just as fabulous as the credits made it seem!
I love this dance in the beginning! It starts right away getting you into the movie.
