Wow. I was a Civil War re-enactor back in the 1980s. At that time, the Park Service was resistant to ANY presence of Civil War re-enactors on the battlefield. The firing of muskets was most certainly out of the question. I applaud their efforts over the past few years to permit, and even facilitate, Living History events on the battlefield!

As well we applaud the Gettysburg and other battles on American soils Historical Societies for NOT being swayed by those liberals who mob the statues and plaques choosing to destroy these rememberances recognizing the many struggles our foreFathers and Mothers endured as they lived, fought and died to give all Americans this beautiful and FREE country we love so dearly today. These battles between our North and South or on soil other than America show us, FREEDOM ain't FREE folks! God Bless our fore Fathers and Mothers, let us pray they watch modern America and not ask themselves,, "Do these people understand what we have given them? Do they understand the prices we've paid? Are they willing to die to protect their FREEDOM as did we?"

Paul Stan it is a great time. If you haven’t already, I would try to go soon. It seems like every year, there are less and less reenactors.

Yes, agreed. Maybe they should put away their old 8mm SD videocameras & get something that shoots in 16x9 HD.
