I’ve been weighing up the 40XXV and the 406V for a while now (amongst a few others), and this review made me realise that it’s the 40XXV that I really want deep down. It scratches that nostalgic itch, and looks like the perfect combination of retro aesthetics and power/capability. Thanks for the excellent review. I really enjoyed it.

I got mine 3 days ago to play 8 and 16 bit Nintendo games. Works like a dream and games like Pokemon Emerald play just like the OG hardware, even with features like the Real Time Clock and there´s even possible to trade and battle Pokemon!. The controls are amazing, responsive and accurate.
Just ordered mine but i do have a quick question. I already have the miyoo mini + with the onion os on the sd card. Can i use that same sd card on this handheld?

Just got this yesterday and so far happy with it but oddly it did not come with any Nintendo emulators or games preinstalled. It has tons of preinstalled games but no NES, SNES, N64, GB, or GBA emulators or games.
The same happened to me too. I was so disappointed! I got mine from Amazon I mean i would of expected it all to be there since it always comes with all the other handhelds. It's just wierd they left it out this specific one.

It's 8 videos on this series of handhelds now? I'm hanging on for the gaming on a phone week/month video because that's probably how most people are playing retro games, the closest we got to that was a review of a controller (and that was the second video on it.)
I’d love the SP but I also really prefer rubber membrane buttons like the OG GBA… so I’m still waiting for the V to drop in price. My only other handheld is the TSP
I played it for a day and i'm about to return it due to the lack of comprehensive guides on how to add emulators. Not worth my free time to spend an entire day researching just to not be able to play the games I actually want and be stuck with 1,000+ trash games
Wild take when this is all clearly in a gray area. This thing is cheaper than a single game or controller. Spend the same amount of time doing research instead of complaining.

H is more comfortable for me, and the second thumbstick is mostly for Dreamcast and N64

It's probably because nintend is pretty strict on roms

I did and they played well, I'm just avoiding mentioning Nintendo for now due to their emulation crackdown

yes it's not a samsung or sandisk (koxia i think) but it's a good one not the garbage they send in the past
