I've had a couple of comments recently about the legitimacy of my Week Long Challenges and as to how I can release so many episodes in one week. The reality is that over the past couple of months I've had periods of time where I'm really busy, so don't get much time for editing. When I do find the free time I catch up with all my scripts and get as much editing done. This results in a backlog of videos which I put out in a small time frame, which is what has happened over the last week. I would have preferred to schedule the episodes one week apart each, but due to the fact that these handhelds become old news pretty quickly that wouldn't make sense algorithm wise. If you look at the actual number of "One Week Challenge" videos over the past three months you'll see 11 videos over a 12 week period. If you check past that it's 14 videos over a 16 week period. If I was faking the week long challenges you would have definitely gotten the TrimUI Brick and Retroid Pocket 5 videos by now as they are sure to be more popular and I've had both consoles for the past two weeks. But the reality is I finished using the TrimUI Brick last week and have just started using the Retroid Pocket 5 this week, despite the huge temptation to play the RP5 sooner. To be clear though, I appreciate the comments as I truly value every single bit of feedback from all of you good and bad. I just want to make sure it's all clear and transparent for you how things work behind the scenes 😊
The all white design is stunning, wow! Also the stock OS looks so much better in this build. Awesome points across the board. Great stuff as always man!
Just received this device a few days ago. It is a nice looking device, the buttons are probably one of the most quiet i have tried from the H700 lineup of devices. Also not sure I saw this on video but if you enjoy SNES on a 8x7 ratio, it looks great on this screen.
@@ChronikSpartan8:7 is close enough to 1:1 that you can just set it to 1:1 in retroarch and fill up the whole screen and it's fine. I was doing this with PS1 and N64 too and it's really not that bad. I mean if you grew up playing SNES on a TV you weren't playing it on a pixel perfect aspect ratio anyways and I remember when 16:9 TVs came out we would just play the same game consoles on them. The fact that the image was a bit stretched never seemed to bother kids playing the games at the time
Personal preference, but I have never gone for that 8:7 thing, I personally prefer original aspect ratio even if it means using less of this square screen.
@@Autotrope as in you've never tried it? I used to think the same until I tried it but I'd only do it on a 1:1 screen that I could use integer scale + overscale
I got my RG Cube XX specifically for PICO-8, for vertical-format arcade games, and for SNES. But 4:3 games are still larger on the Cube's display than they are on my Miyoo Mini Plus. At some point, I'll grab a Retroid Pocket 5 (or 5 Pro, or 6, or some version of the Odin), but I don't have the budget just now. I haven't gotten into DS much, but I do have it on my Miyoo; I'll definitely check it out check it out.
Just loaded Knulli Firefly onto this last night and although it probably still has some bugs that will be fixed in updates over the coming months, it was great playing my usual 8 - 16 bit game catalogue. Custom firmware really makes these Anbernic devices shine ✨
Got mine in less than a month. Very light usage and it developed vertical screen issues like some anbernic devices. I'm gonna return it and hope the replacement is better. Otherwise it's an amazing console and very comfy. It's also very solidly built. I just hope they have better quality control to prevent such issues thag plague a lot of their products.
Fun fact, Stavros is my favorite Bond. While The Trollster is my favorite Bond villain. It's pretty neat to see the DS emulation; but I want it (and 3DS) emulation capable on a TV screen!
Are there sufficient games to not worry about loading up any more? My 10 y.o. son wants one of these, and I've told him that we don't want to mess with the world of emulations, roms, etc.... So hoping it comes loaded with enough to keep someone happy.
When you purchase you often get a choice of SD card size which dictates the amount of games you'll get. Even the smallest SD cards come pretty well packed.
Any creator that puts and then this happened or guess what happened in their title. guess what happens? I tell UA-cam to never show me another one of their videos ever again.
People who "correct" this are a pet peeve of mine. It's normal for people to have different pronunciation of stuff like this depending on where they're from or how they were taught, and correcting it often seems to come across as snobbish or classist. That's my 2c. I don't use the "haitch" pronunciation myself but I'll stick up for those who do!

I appreciate you addressing this, it clears it up. Keep up the hard work

Thanks buddy, it is such a beautifully designed console!

It really does look great with SNES in particular, I was playing Final Fantasy II & III last night and it was glorious.
I haven't tried the 8x7 ratio, I need to do that.
Overall it's another fantastically made device from Anbernic!

Put NES, and SNES in 8:7 the. Use integer scaling and Integer scaling over scale and you may change your mind on the device
Fair point, I'll give it a go
This is the way

The N64 version of The World is Not Enough was like an upgraded version of GoldenEye. Used to play the multiplayer a lot against my cousins
I haven't tried the multiplayer on it, will definitely have to give it a go.
I've really enjoyed playing the main story even so many years later
This device looks pretty sweet. The buttons and lit up rings are a nice touch.
It is a stunning looking device!

Yeah it's great for those systems to be fair. DS is definitely great on it, well worth checking out.

Nice, I'll have to look into that 👍
Is it easy to switch back the stock OS if something is broken on there?

That's such a shame as it feels so durable otherwise. Hope you get a good one.

Haha, that would be a great bond movie! From Australia With Love 😁
The fact it can run ps1 games is awesome. I been wanting to play legend of dragoon on the go.
Very nice to play that on especially if you sort out the borders
now i think what to choose - rgb30 or cube xx?
Anbernic have better build quality.
Cube XX wins in every area apart from pocketability

Cool story bro
RG Cube XX is an amazing device. I love it and it killed RGB30. :)
It definitely outshines the RGB30!
I prefer the original stick design because I want to play Gamecube games. Not a dealbreaker though.
Yeah, totally agree. That's why I love the Cube
Is chrono trigger in the preinstalled 8K games??
To be honest any games are easy to add to it
@@ChronikSpartan Provide a link, I can download chrono from?
Yo do a 30 day PSP challenge!
I will do 😉
It plays the shit out of kirby superstar ultra
Haha, awesome!
8:7 for snes and nes. And vertical shooters. Great console.
That's fair, just not what I usually play is all
It’s ‘Aitch’. There’s no ‘h’ at the start of the word.
Hinteresting 🤔

I clicked your click-baity notifications and this happened (spoilers, I unsubscribed).
