The Magpul DAKA had me stumped until I really thought
through it's uses. Protecting electronics, Medical Supplies
Fire Kit and more. This little pouch is a great companion
    while on an Outdoor Adventure.

I'm very glad you did this video! I've seen your video on it as well as a few others and was debating on what to use it for or what could I use it for. But this really spelled it out and now I've got a TON of ideas on what to use a couple for! So I'm going to be purchasing some for multiple uses! Great video as always!

Always keep up the amazing work! :)

I use one of these for a first aid kit in my EDC. I used to have a dumb amount of stuff packed in a Max FRS pouch and realized it was a waste of space. This pouch was just the perfect thing to trim down my kit and slim it down also.

I think that considering how much stuff you put in the bag at the start we understand. "the big deal" I mean. you put your phone, walkie-talkie, fire starting kit, ammunition, medical supplies, etc. Any bag that can fit all of that at the same time is worth the money to me. ;D

I find that it's easier to access contents with a horizontal opening pouch as opposed to the same size pouch with the opening on the short end. I use my pouch to carry my tools for Cat 5 cabling. I can pull this out of my regular toolkit and have everything I need to terminate cables. Neat to see the water test! Thanks!!!

This maybe "an expensive pencil pouch/ziplock bag" but this is the bag I would use for my INCH bag or "Screw society I'm going to go live in the forest/mountains/desert for the rest of my life" bag. No ziplock; no matter if it's a triple layered freezer bag with gorilla tape all over it, will last as long as this bag will.

I'll never be without a waterproof bag again! I thought I could shoot an outdoor match in the rain. My plastic baggies wouldn't close up again after getting wet, my lunch was soggy and yuck, my phone got moisture under the screen, my TP could NOT be used (I'm a girl and I NEED le papier toilette!) and my multitool was slippery and hard to hold. The bandaids in my medical baggie were wet and wouldn't stick. WATERPROOF BAGS ARE A NECESSITY, NOT A LUXURY! Thanks, Sootch00!!!

It's neat, but I've been putting items inside a 1 gallon freezer bag, and then putting that inside a second 1 gallon freezer bag (with the zippers on opposite sides) for a long time now. You can tie that to a brick and throw it in a lake and everything inside it will be fine. Still if you needed to open and close the bag a whole lot or needed a bomb proof container, this looks useful.

  • @MrDanielWP

Seems like the perfect bag for a med kit, fire kit, or map/travel kit... except that there is no organization to it. It's just a pouch. Make it with a simple liner that has small compartments and elastic loops to secure a light, lighter, pen, medical shears, etc.
Without any organization, it seems too expensive for what it is. There are much cheaper waterproofing options, some of which will better protect the contents from impact. You can also organize in exactly the same way with a bank bag for a lot less - like $3 per bag. But, those don't have carabiner holes or a dot-matrix on them. (Can't just get a permanent marker and write free-hand...) Honestly, why would this be affixed to something using the carabiners? Maybe secured within a larger bag to ensure it doesn't fall out? I might really like it if I were a soldier and I absolutely needed a physical map to be secured from rain, river water, snow, etc. That could be life-or-death critical, but not likely something I will encounter s need for.
IDK... it seems like an over-engineered bank bag. If it were significantly cheaper, it would be a good option to use as a pouch to protect from water and separate things to help organize within a larger bag.

Incredible how magpul can charge so much for an overbuilt pencil case/ziplock bag lmao, AND have people eat it up. I can get a 10 pack of pencil cases on amazon for 11 bucks, all in the same colors. Only difference is they aren’t waterproof. Know what solves that? Throwing it in a .50 cent ziplock bag.
These probably cost magpul 50-60 cents to make. They should’ve sold these for a small/medium AND large for 20 bucks.

The pouch is overpriced by about twenty-two dollars. I picked up a pouch at Walmart for three dollars that's made out of better material, and has a stronger zipper. Put your phone and charger in a fifty cent Ziploc bag and save yourself some money.
This is a case where you're paying three bucks for a pouch, and twenty-two dollars for the brand name on the pouch.

A Ziploc bags doesn't have a big brand name attached to it. The name Magpul is worth at least twenty bucks to some people. I have the a solution for this. I use a Ziploc bag, and write "Magpul" on it with a Sharpie.
Seriously, this is the biggest waste of money I've seen in a long, long time.

Free Raven Dan Reger bit of a waste of money in my opinion, resealable plastic bags are much cheaper and you get lots. May not be as durable but you can even cover the bag in duct tape for strength or double it up.

You need to own a bank to pay for it. You can get one that's made out of better material, and that has a stronger zipper, at Walmart for three bucks.

CAUTION, Magpul dose not stand behind their products and will not issue a replacement, refund, or even a partial credit for manufactures defects on items that they sell. If it is defective you are stuck with it. Go with anything other than Magpul!!! Magpul falls apart!
