Please I have been doing this for so long and I was not able to create a sine ebook yet ,I have watched different UA-cam video yet it not working, can you help
Make sure to go take a peek at my Etsy shop for ALL my designs!! And let me know what else you want to see! 🤩🤩🤩 www.etsy.com/shop/GlamAndGraphics P.S. Be one of the first 10 to leave a review, and receive ANY product of either equal or lesser value for COMPLETELY FREE!! Thanks for your continued support, everyone! 💛💛💛 ➡ P.P.S. PDFs should be in CMYK instead of RGB!! That was totally my bad; I was reading the info for eBooks rather than print books. 🙄 Ahhh, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah.
*”Please do correct me if wrong, but isn’t the top of a interior page called the header? I would like to include typography on the header of the interior pages of a custom low content journal.”*
Great question! It does seem a bit trickier when it comes to the interior, unfortunately. I will admit that I typically just eyeball and try not to stay too close to the edges, but upon a bit of additional research, it seems the KDP happens to have some interior templates as well! Granted, they're in .docx format, but you could totally convert them to PNGs, plop them in Canva, and use them as a guide. They can be found here: kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G201834230. Hope that helps!! Let me know if it works for you! :)
I swear that was the easiest explanation for creating a kdp book out of all the videos I have watched. Just one question, RGB is for the web vs CMYK is for print. Why did you choose RGB for that book. Thoughts.
So glad I could help you!! And to answer your question, you're absolutely right. I was a bit mixed up about RGB and CMYK when I created this video (I accidentally looked at the information for eBooks rather than print books), so make sure you're using CMYK! Granted, CMYK now requires Canva Pro, so RGB is still okay if that's your only option. :)
Awesome information. I have been watching tons of your KDP videos. Quick question regarding interior. Do you know if you are able to have the same interior with different covers for a planner?
Aww, thanks so much for your support!! And great question! This is something different people will disagree on, and I'd personally recommend you use your own judgment. Amazon says books shouldn't duplicate each other (but then we have lined notebooks that all look almost exactly the same). With slightly higher content, such as planners, it gets into a grayer area. I personally believe this isn't a big deal; if it's something like a coloring book, where a person would be annoyed to get two of the same interiors from different books, that's one thing, but with planners, it's more the pretty cover and the functionality that matters. Uniqueness isn't as big a deal, but again, it's up to you and what you're comfortable with! Hope this helps!!
Great video, but I thought RGB is recommended for digital images and CMYK is for actual printing, isn't it better to select CMYK for the cover at least if not for the interior? Since the cover will be in color and CMYK will be a lot better quality and RGB is fine for the interior that's B&W.
Ohhhh, dang, you’re right about that. I was accidentally looking at the info for eBooks rather than for print copies. 🤦♀️ I’m sure it would still be fine as RGB, but CMYK is ideal given it’s color-based rather than light-based. Thanks so much for pointing that out!!
@@SarahLarson Cool, I'm not very technical myself so I was not sure but now that canva allows for both I just wanted to doublecheck and did some research :)
@@SarahLarson Oh, I get it!🙃 Also, went to your shop, looks great! Trying to understand all this...is your shop basically KDP templates that you've designed, and if we purchase we don't have to do all that, can just change text? Can art be changed up?
Thanks so much!! And yes! I give you both PDFs and Canva links, so you can either upload them as is or edit them directly inside of Canva! Change up the art, text, whatever you want. :) Super easy to do!
That’s so awesome!! Congrats!! 🥳 Yes, the deposits are automatic, though keep in mind that KDP isn’t quick to pay out. However, you should be receiving your funds soon!
Sorry about that! I tend to talk fast, but I’m working on it. Thankfully, if I’m being a little too speedy for you, you’re more than welcome to tweak the video settings so that it plays slower. :) Thanks for your feedback!
Because of you I’m learning about KDP and creating a passive income! I thank you so much! I published my first journal today!!
Yay!! Way to go! I'm so happy to hear that! ✨

Why RGB instead of Cmyk?
Hello and thank you! I came across the canva option to embed the interior pages?? Is it necessary?
Very helpful!! Thank you 🙏🏾

hi, how do i know the margins of a kdp softcover print ? is there a template or calculator for inner pages ? i saw only one for cover...

@@SarahLarson thank you so much for this information and the quick reply. I look forward to watching more of your videos 😊
Thanks..are these only pages for the right side?
They can go on either side! But it might be wise to tweak them with the margins in mind. :)
Thanks for video.how much Inc/mm space should be between lines, any rule about it?
Good question! I’d say about half an inch is standard, but ultimately as long as they’re not too tight, you should be good!
Great video, but I thought RGB is recommended for digital images and CMYK is for actual printing, isn't it better to select CMYK for the cover at least if not for the interior? Since the cover will be in color and CMYK will be a lot better quality and RGB is fine for the interior that's B&W.

Yeah, that's correct Dianoza.
Hey great video :) if you use the canna free elements are you able to sell these?
Yes, you are! Just make sure that those elements are part of an overall design and not all by themselves. :)
But the cup of tea you use on your pages is ok as a stand alone?
Thanks, good video.
Hi Sarah, what does bleed mean?
Bleed extends to the full edge of the page, but no bleed needs to be within the margins!
