Update: My journals got published! Things to note before you publish yours:
1. Make sure you don't have repeating words in the title and subtitle
2. Your journal pages can't be blank (e.g. if you're trying to publish a sketchbook) if you want a more versatile notebook I advise you to make dotted pages. There's a tutorial on youtube on how to do that just type how to make a dot grid in canva.
My journals weren't accepted because of these 2 things on the first try but after some editing I resubmitted them and it worked!

I wanted to give whoever is reading this a heads up. I’ve been publishing KDP books on Amazon and have had some success.
I recently found my books, as well as other books, being sold on TikTok Shops with the price marked up higher. I’m pretty sure what they are doing is buying the books on Amazon, which is cheaper, and then reselling them on TikTok shops at a higher price.
Because of this, I will no longer be selling any books on Amazon and have unpublished my books, which broke my heart.
I think you should do a video about this and let other authors know what’s going on with TikTok shops. This is a major problem and I don’t think a lot of authors are aware. Thank you.
So someone was buying your books? That’s good. Why do you care if they are reselling them. If you were fine selling at that price to begin with, then think of it as a distributor buying from you and increasing your reach. Unless you have another point on this that is not clear.
Another way to think of it - would you rather sell 10 books at the price you asked with no Tik Tok resales, or 30 books with Tik Tok resales? I’d take the latter.
@@terryrl I don’t know if your a troll or if you yourself are stealing people’s ideas or books and selling them as your own and profiting from them but let me tell you one thing, I make very little to nothing on the books I sale. I was trying to build a brand so I can eventually sell more copies and in turn finally make a decent profit. When someone steals from you and just copies and paste your words and makes a bigger profit off of what you created off, that is not acceptable!!! Please do not respond back because I will ignore you!!!!

Hey Sean, around 13:00 you recommended adding graphics like pens, flowers, animals, etc. I currently have a journal that uses a different graphic for about 50 different pages. Are these graphics subject to copyright infringement? I've been looking all over canva's copyright pages but can't seem to find anything that indicates single graphics per page with the lines/words.
I have tried copy/pasting the downloaded template, just like instructed and nothing shows up. Thoughts?

The setup screens have changed. I do not see anywhere to download a template.
Sean, or anyone that uses Canva to design their KDP books. I’ve created a book that is 196 pages, but somewhere around page 160, Canva told me it was too big to keep saving. So I had to create a second file. But now I have 2 PDF files to upload to KDP and it doesn’t seem like you can do that? Any work around you could suggest? This must happen all the time to people?

Easy said than done, you can run AI for your journal but where do you get 120 pages of writing ?

Very interesting. I'm a total newby intrigued by this use of Ai, KDP, Canva etc to make a £million+. Ill start with zero and let's see where it goes in 12 months from today 16 May 2024. I'm near retirement age so, I've got 5 years to test this system out. If I gain a £Million+, I'll support other newbies via a video of 100% genuine advice that states the pitfalls or benefits.
Do you know why my paperback journal won't upload to canvas? It says something that the file I am uploading isn't compatible,,or they have been corrupted? What does that mean?

Position on the top will show you all the layers he is referring to the instructions he added on the 1st layer. You can delete previous layers by going to position at the top of the page.

Hi there. I'm not seeing what you are showing at 11:02 (moving the margins) when I'm looking at my canva screen. It's just showing a blank page with no ruler at the top or sides. What am I missing?
To turn on the ruler in Canva, follow these steps:

Last October 2023 me cat food order ki thi is product mujhe Amazon name logo ka cartoon se seal pavk milithi. But uske baad jab bhi order karti hu amazon ka seal pack nhi rahta. Kaise mai samjhu ki ye amazon ka hai d eha ki courier sayad change kardeti hai. Delivery boy kahta hai seller aise bheje.

Canva does not have the ruler option anymore...
So I am sure that you have covered this before. What is the truth about using Canva for KDP I am in a group where the host says out right that you cannot use any Canva elements and upload to KDP. I get so many different people saying different things I am stuck
You have to have a minimum of 3 canva elements per page in order to use them for kdp

I was about to pull all of my books because I used Canva elements. so if on my journal pages I add little images on the corners of each page that is ok or do i have to use the 3 elements together to make a 4th (new)element.

I am also wondering how to sell it at the beginning.... There are many many notebooks and journals, so it is really hard to be visible for customer and stand out even the product is great. I am starting my business and I do not have brand (not yet). I do not want spent money on low content books, I do not have budget for it
