Leaving the bodies to rot in the house is what really gets me. I shouldn't be expecting any sort of reasonable behaviour from the guy who murdered his whole family and dog but still... that is seriously f'd up. Excellent podcast btw, quality journalism.

What? His wife obviously did it. His Oscar winning performance didn't make you see how innocent he is?! 😂 He's sick man.

.I watched his court testimony and it was both enraging and disgusting.

It reminds me of the Dupont de Ligones case except the father was never found.

Yes imo that's the reason he murdered them Megan had no idea that his bussinee was a failure that the money that was flowing like water came from defraudeding medicaid & 28/ 30 high interest loans he had forged her signature to after sitting in prison almost 3 yrs he came up with the Megan killed them story. He's scum he even said in letter to his dad when he gets released in a couple months he will use Megan's 300 grand policy to get back on his feet

He has narcissistic personality disorder. In the end, his arrogance did him in.

Obviously during this confession he believes he can get an insanitity defence going afterward, so he can walk out in a couple of years. It is all thought out on his part. Luckily not a soul believes him.

Those poor kids. Their last moments of complete terror, looking 8nto the eyes of the person who was supposed to protect them. They didn't die immediately, it took a while. He is talking about it like he was talking about a new recipe.

It's too late now, but did the prosecution get a computer forensic study done on the computers? Also we're any of Megan's medical records looked into?

I’d also like to say I was also confused about the timeline of this case and I’m so happy I found this channel. You do a great job with the timelines and everything! Thank you!!

Wow in his "confession" he sounds exactly like his dad lying about not hiring someone to k1ll the mom. 2 generations of narcissistic psychopaths.

Except where he described overpowering and suffocating his kids. I bet that's the truth, and he did it on his own. It's the kernel of truth in the big lie.

Can't understand ruling to exclude financial/fraud issue. Can't understand prosecution not discrediting Megan's health issues. The miscarriage he makes so much of was, according to him, dealt with at home, with a midwife he can't remember the name of, and the remains were burnt in a paint can with the ashes buried. Voila, no proof of miscarriage.

Nothing this guy says can ever be believed. His actual face is infuriating. I think he did this because he's callous and embarrassed that he was being legally confronted with his shady behavior & lies.
The crime scene, evidence, and his idiotic behavior makes me think he drugged his family, bound certain members so they couldn't help each other in fighting him off, then smothered them one by one. Since the stab wounds were all committed post mortem, I think this was him either making sure they were deceased or just morbidly messing around with the bodies. This is someone who is entirely without empathy, so that's something I could imagine him doing.
I believe his motivation was vanity, ego, and a paranoid, controlling psyche. He kept having children, yet couldn't pay for them without stealing and committing fraud. He isolated his family as a form of control, I think he kept having children to maintain control. I don't think there was any love there, not from him. To a man like that, a family would mean nothing. They existed only as a testament of his own ego. When pieces of his ego started to shatter he retaliated. He couldn't admit wrong, he couldn't admit his inadequacy, so he murdered them in cold blood.
I think this case is extremely simple and comes down to the cold hard reality of an egotistical, entitled sociopath who can't deal with the consequences of his actions.
I think he blamed religion because so many other radicalized religious have committed similar crimes with that as their justification.
The "I can't remember", or "God wanted me to" are the two biggest excuses abusive, violent, unhinged, psychotic men use to harm their families. We know this by now so I wish we wouldn't entertain this monsters story for so much as a second. It's disrespectful to the memory of the innocent victims.
The mother was a full time mom, she spent all her time with her babies. You can see the love in her eyes for them and theirs for her in pictures. The patriarch of that family looks like a beady eyed weasel, completely out of place. I sincerely wish he would have found a way out of their lives before it was too late. The way he speaks about the victims, even posthumously, makes me sick. This man is the textbook definition of an unfeeling creature utterly devoid of humanity. He doesn't deserve a second of consideration and his words don't deserve to be read as if they were fact.
Nothing that begins with, "Tony said" is true...I can't imagine a person in the world believes anything this man has to say.

He talks about the murder of his children, like he’s giving a “how to” video on UA-cam for the best way to barbecue brisket or something.

The more times I watch this trial and these podcasts, the more I believe Megan may have been in on this tragedy. Maybe she did give up on life and wanted to all die together? I just can't understand how Tony would've gotten that much Benadryl into the systems of his family members. My imagination runs wild, did he hold the BB gun to Megan and force her to drink the Benadryl? That gun looks like a real handgun. Ugh, so confused.

He could have gotten her to take some and while still drowsy… got her to take more. He could have had her tied to the bed and when she woke up he could have forced more in. He had time to clean her up if she had spit up. If he killed her first then kids would have had zero chance. In any event.. he’s one SOB for sure and I hope he rots.

According to his sister, she was told that they were all sick with the flu. Does one take benadryl for that?what would be the purpose for the benadryl ?

    • @amelia_k1082
      @amelia_k1082 Рік тому

@@ritaeichler2066 Benadryl is simply an antihistamine and when taken makes a person sleepy (usually) as the purpose of it is to block the histamines in the system that are causing "whatever allergic" reaction. When taken just for the heck of it, it can make a person very drowsy, so maybe they were told to take it while they had the flu so that they could sleep away their symptoms of the flue? This whole family was not very typical, so who knows what they did or what they were thinking?

Not for nothin but, what does it prove for someone to tell you that they're in their right mind if they're *not* actually in their right mind? If they had an obviously drunk person on video & that drunk person said, "nope, I am totally sober", no one would turn around & be like "well that settles it, he said he was sober". It's actually very similar to what the interrogators were pulling on that idot who's bf died in the suitcase. It's not right for cops to bend things to fit their needs.

    • @jayclark5912

He knows right from wrong well enough to try to lie his way out of it, so he's in good enough mind for a trial. As for Sarah Boone, it's not relevant if she was drunk or not. Same deal she knew what she was doing was wrong and did it anyway.
