The *comparison trap* refers to the habit of comparing oneself to others, often in areas like achievements, looks, wealth, relationships, and other facets of life. This is especially prevalent in the digital age, where social media platforms provide a constant stream of curated "highlights" from others' lives, making it easy to feel as if everyone else is doing better or leading a more exciting life.
Reasons to Avoid the Comparison Trap:
1. *Distorted Reality:* Social media and other platforms often display a curated and edited version of people's lives. Comparing your everyday life with someone else's highlights can lead to distorted perceptions and unnecessary feelings of inadequacy.
2. *Undermines Self-Worth:* Constant comparison can lead to feelings of low self-esteem and can erode one's confidence. When you measure your value based on external factors, it becomes challenging to appreciate your unique qualities and achievements.
3. *Detracts from Personal Growth:* Instead of focusing on personal goals, growth, and well-being, being caught in the comparison trap can shift your focus externally. This can prevent self-reflection and hinder personal development.
4. *Cultivates Negative Emotions:* Envy, jealousy, resentment, and dissatisfaction are often by-products of constant comparison. Such negative emotions can be harmful to mental well-being and can strain relationships.
5. *Prevents Contentment:* Even when you achieve something, the joy can be short-lived if you're always looking at what others have or have accomplished. This prevents you from feeling true contentment and gratitude for what you have.
6. *Varied Life Paths:* Every individual is on a unique journey with different timelines, challenges, and opportunities. What might be right for one person might not be suitable for another. Comparing disparate paths often doesn't make sense and is not fair to oneself.
7. *Wasted Energy:* The time and emotional energy spent on comparing could be better used for pursuing hobbies, spending time with loved ones, or working on personal goals.
How to Avoid the Comparison Trap:
1. *Limit Social Media:* Consider reducing the time you spend on social media or curate your feed to include more positive and less envy-inducing content.
2. *Practice Gratitude:* Focusing on what you're thankful for can shift your mindset and reduce the desire to compare. Keeping a gratitude journal can be a helpful practice.
3. *Celebrate Your Achievements:* Recognize and celebrate your accomplishments, both big and small. This helps in building self-confidence and reduces the need to seek external validation.
4. *Seek Internal Validation:* Instead of seeking validation from external sources, focus on internal values, beliefs, and goals.
5. *Mindfulness and Meditation:* Practices like mindfulness and meditation can help in staying present and appreciating the current moment, reducing the propensity to compare.
6. *Recognize the Trap:* Simply being aware that you're falling into the comparison trap is a significant first step. Once recognized, it becomes easier to shift your focus and avoid the pitfalls associated with comparison.
• सपने, उम्मीदें और नाका...
In essence, while it's natural for humans to compare as a way of gauging where we stand, it's crucial for mental and emotional well-being to recognize when this tendency becomes harmful and to take steps to refocus on what truly matters in one's personal journey.

Sadly, most youngsters in their 20s do not embrace failure. This should change. In the long run, people who have experienced heart-crushing failures will be the ones who will be respected the most.
In the age of Instagram feeds and LinkedIn Top Voices - influencers only share the best, selected, well-edited parts of their lives. But real life is raw and unfiltered
Do like, and share this video - so that it reaches the right person. Who knows? Your act might not just change someone's perspective in life, but might positively change someone's life!
How can I contact you ? Sir or bhaiya. I can't tell you how much frustrated i am.
you're one of the strongest person we've met on internet sir
Never knew this side of ur story
Thank you so much
Those words are so close to heart, who tried, failed, hated for their chosen path. Anxiety, depression, self doubt and low self esteem all become part of our life at that time. But searching truth and knowledge, fighting for ourselves regardless of trend ultimately makes way to achieve greatness.🙏
Thankyou.
Hi
I am going through very hard time (depression, anxiety) right now because of my career. But when I see people in social media I thought why I am doing the hard thing, people are doing very good with just simple things. This feeling really gave me more tension. But thanks to you I am relieved now.
You are not doing hard things. Those simple things doesn't excite you much.
you just spoke everyone's heart... Everyone has gone or passed through this phase.. unfortunately leachers in life progress..
Much needed motivation❤
Thank you so much sir. Hoping that I will recover soon and study hard.

How beautifully you spoke Naman. Just from heart.
"Crab mentality" is the difference between a failed and a successful person. Therefore, I always suggest everyone for a CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM with a careful choice of words (in case required, otherwise learn to appreciate things)
"Social media is always filtered" is a great line but you are doing a great job...I understand the pain it takes to reach anywhere...Always respect for you ❤❤❤

Thanks for motivating us sir.....I am from chattisgarh .......I give neet three times and i fail .At my last attempt i fail to get mbbs seat by 10 marks, also parallelly i join college at that time .Many criticise me for my decision but now i realize that i did right thing ......now at age of 20 i starts preparing for upsc ....as usual many my relatives say that you are too young ,this exam demands maturity .....but i don't care about them ,Iam doing my best as much as i can possible......i don't know what happen in future ,i will become Ias or not ....but life mae kuch na kuch toh karungi haar nahi manugi.
@@2.0JUSTDOIT yes ...but my parents has told them
Start now. All those people who say to prepare this exam u need maturity is myth.
This exam needs sharp skills. Developing yourself takes time. It is not a 1 or 2 year process. Start as soon as possible.

Just embrace it.

I ain't even thinking for appearing for upsc ever in my life but never misses single video of yours. Cuz it just tells me the truth whether good/harsh.

Dear sir, generally these leeches are found in our family tree such as our relatives who always try to mock and ready to bring us down... I also never let me down as you didn't...love you 💖

Myself gaining the good degree and still unemployed at the age of 27....Many self doubts, anxiety has been reigning on my mind....Sometimes think that is it too late or not to change my field at this point....after trying so hard to complete my degree....But I giving myself a chance to endure little more and try my hands on those things in which I wanted my future to be in....Don't knw what's next!!!!!
Although I believe in whatever you said, sometimes it is better to choose the easier path, if you are not good enough. There is thoery called dunning kruger syndrome. I was a decent student, got ok marks. After graduation, decided to go fro upsc. Teachers and friends made fun of me, but I didn't care. Father didn,t have enogh money for coaching, so relied solely on self study. Wasted 6 years, turned 30. Now im neither good for a decent pvt job, nor can i get a govt job bea use of being overage.
My life is an example of assesing your abilities first, if you are an avg student and start preparing for Iit or olympiad, you are bound to fail, just like me.
Hands off to you bro ❤ #be strong
Jabardast Naman bhai 🔥
❤
Today i know that i am not alone a lot people are like me.
Just keep on going....you are a lion❤👍👍
Very well said ✨
Thank you for such geniune videos
Thank u sir u words touched us❤❤
Believe me who have remained alone in early 20's trying and exploring with no guilt of living alone..will be extremely successful in their lives ..provided they learn skills and remain positive.
👍👍
True. I have been alone for the last 10 years & learnt so many things. I have evolved as an improved version of myself.
Didn't attend even cousins' & friends' wedding.
@@arp2797 Doesn't matter mate you attend parties or other events or not ! As long as you love wherever you are in your own company , you are doing really well ! And marriages are not made in heaven ..they are man made event !
Sir , i think it is the best❤❤❤
I am not a misfits fellow but I am in love with Naman sir videos . From his videos i have learnt many things 1.how Naman sir maintain his cool calm and composed nature while having a conversation with students . I started watching his videos just to learn fancy English words and his communication techniques but after watching his videos
2. I have learnt that how to feel a subject while studying and how to develop the 3rd eye view while studying .
I'm facing same... failed in NEET, CET, n chose unexpected degree, now I'm preparing for UPSC it's been a year...i recently got cheated badly 😢...i didn't write my 2023 prelims... I'm in depression since feb 2023..i want to prepare for 2024 ...but I'm unable to get out the depression....i don't even hv family support ...my ex bf n his gf called me Underdog..
Stay strong girl... More power to youu ..take care
the thing that your family allowing you to prepare itself is a great support. and those bf gf problems are common to all and nothing to do in our life. so in my view i dont see any difficulties in your life.
I have seen many students including me whose parents itself try to stop the education of their childs after 12th or degree, for some silly reasons.
In my case i cleared gate and got IIT seat. But all efforts are wasted just because of 70+ k fees that i cant arrange. My parents simply said, "Go for job, earn money and then join IIT". That amount is nothing to my parents, but still they denied simply because they think doing masters is waste of another 2 years😅.
Relationship are the worst thing that can happen to a homosapien
Even I've been a failure throughout my life . Stay strong, believe.
Do the meditation, exercise, read non technical book for 20 minutes each you can get see the changes for atleast within 2to 3weeks ,i hope it will helps
You are a beautiful soul Aman ❤
To all who is fighting the battle alone, keep going ❤ you are worth enough 😍
Thank you naman for everything
I have had everything going good untill something hit me harder, i am facing all this alone, i know things will get better
Was helpful ❤❤
Thankyou ❤
I passed out in 2018 from college..gave entrance for masters in DU but didn't clear it although I was not sure what to do still i gave the entrance..then I took one whole year to decide...came up with upsc preparation..gave three prelims didn't clear any..last year I gave a regulatory body entrance nabard..missed prelims by one mark...I got sad and depressed..talked to some psychologists...gathered courage to prepare again for the exam..studied hard for first few months..but now I'm not able to focus anymore and feeling low and depressed all the time.
Han form bhi nahi aa rha nabard ka
Keep grinding
True
Ptsd childhood trauma is serious its waste 10 even 20 Years becoz of environment as you dont able to try
After listening you on the daily basis one thing I found very clearly that if making mistakes in life is failure according to person infront of me then most probably I will the most failed man of human race and please let me be a failed .😅😅 चिकना घडा हो गया हू मुझे घंटा फर्क नही पड़ता ।
I am facing this in my library they are now jealous and dont greet now......ignore me.....i am preparing for govt. Exam and I am succeeding in my exams and getting my job
If there's so much competition in the job market, why not try a hand at some new niche?
I've started working on my own niche 2 years ago and I'm still planning on turning it into a profitable career one day.
There are several career choices available, stop going the "University Degree" path, it never gets you any job or teach you any skills, it just wastes your time and money.
Rather than doing that, discontinue your studies and start earning money doing small/entry level jobs, try finding your own niche while doing this.
By the end of 4 years of doing this, you'll have enough experience, skills from multiple jobs and money to start your own business with your own niche.
I'm 33 years old and i still have not given up, i will fulfill my destiny.
Sir please start class for bpcs àlso ...we also need ur support and guidance.. please
Thank you Naman!
