Hi David I did the first half on the TG and the 2nd half on the reformer. Loved the lunges and the "scooters" and "skaters". Sharing with my Pilates Group!

Excellent workout. I'm glad to see resistance bands utilized. When doing squats I wrap them around in front of the Pilates or Squat stand at the base support holes and up around to the other side and hook them in. Feel the burn!!

Thanks! 🔥🔥🔥 I like adding resistance bands too - I make sure to check they aren't rubbing against any metal and stay in control of the glideboard so it doesn't get pulled out from under me.

@@DavidsTotalFitness Oh yeah that is really important. When you load that board up with resistance it can be dangerous if proper precautions are not taken. Using the weight bar attachment as a grab handled doing squats is vital, too. Peace!

Thank you, David, for another awesome workout!
Well made with a lot of work and input 👍🏻.
Love the chapter‘s and the detailed information of the excercises together with time-stamps (?), also the black mat to see the text clearly, the small pictures for someone who hasn‘t got a Pilates toe bar. Everything done to make it easy for your subscribers. And a lot of advice to watch your form….
I stumbled across it and tried it, and loved 👍🏻😃❤️!

Thank you so much and glad you like it. Thank you for the feedback, too. One thing I struggle with is background music. Do you like workout videos with or without music? I try to keep it very soft in case someone wants to listen to their own music. In fact, the music is so soft on this one, you may not have noticed unless listening through headphones.

@@DavidsTotalFitness Hi David, sorry it took so long to answer.
I personally don‘t like music that is too loud, or „aggressive“ or too much „in the front“.
So probably would prefer „no music“ to „music“ if I had to chose.
And think it also might be a good idea/thought of you to be able to add music of your own choice.
But I then might be just be too lazy to go and find one 😂.
So far I never was distracted or found the music you chose for your videos in any way „negative“.
I liked working out with and liked your chosen music as well.
I will listen now to the music more carefully and give you a feed back.
You also might ask your subscribers, if you not already have done that.
I am using different things, mostly my Ipad, but have an Iphone and an old Xperia but your questions don‘t appear on every medium 🤔.

Thanks for your feedback, Karin! I think I will continue to keep the music soft in the background in case the viewer wants to play their own music.

Do you feel this gives you the same feel as the reformer? Resistance wise?

The Total Gym is different in that it uses your body weight for resistance vs. springs. The one thing I love about the TG vs. a reformer is that you can add a lot more load by raising the level. IMO it's better for strength training than a reformer. You can also keep the glideboard at a lower level (so it is more of a flat surface like a reformer) and add a light loop resistance band if you want more tension. With all that being said, the TG has a different feel than a reformer. For a Pilates purist, the Total Gym may not be the right choice, but I really like it because I can strength train and do Pilates type workouts on one machine. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.
