Hi Mike! This woodworker is cringing as you cut that nice ambrosia maple into firewood. That would have made a really nice table in the new building. Have a day!
To the Morgans, You folks are a breath of fresh air. Hard work, family, love and fun! I’ve been watching for a long time. Don’t think I’ve ever commented. Problem solved. Thanks for the decency!
Well said. Its hard to find anything on regular tv that doest have a bunch of cussing and lots of other stuff that i just dont agree with. This channel is appropriate for all audiences. It is my favorite on youtube. However, there are several good channels.
Good evening Mike and all the rest of the gang. Sure looked good in the woods today, a little light and slickery around there. Will be so happy for you when you get rid of that section of road and the new section in. You all stay safe around there and keep having fun. Fred.
@.Mike Morgan..Technically speaking Mike, even though it probably wouldn't have changed anything for you, your hitch to the tree was taking weight off the rear wheels and transferring it to the front ones. The ideal theoretical hitch points would be between the axles, near the axle itself. On a hill like that, tensioning the cable/chain would always pull both axles toward the ground.
Good afternoon everyone, from the PNW wilderness. Glad to hear you and Melissa took a rest day. I’m sure you were itchin’ a little to get something done, however rest days are important now and then too. Y’all have a fantabulous week.
You mention wondering what people do with the bladders, I cut mine in half on the diagnol drill 2 holes on both sides near the ends, run some hay wire through to act as a tie down and make a roof over top the wood I have inside of IBC totes, keeps the rain and snow off the wood while drying and hay wire holds in place. I love watching your channel. I like the way you explain things & tell everyone how you do things. I would to know the name of the movie you & your wife watched on prime? I missed the name of it. You seemed to have really liked it. I'm 74 years old, love watching good movies. Thank you,Sue
Afternoon Morgans my name is Brad from Virginia, love the channel. I've been watching for a long time and figured I should give you all the first comment I've made on anyone's channel. Keep up the great work.
Hi Mike. Glad you took time for yourself yesterday. Although like many others, we awaited your video yesterday. That tells you how connected I and many others are to your videos. Glad you are feeling better. You are probably working more now than you did when you were employed by someone else. Good to take time to recharge your battery as well. Keep the great videos and stories coming. Looking forward to what your mission was with the maple. All the best to you and your family.
Well, it’s only partly a secret now. 😂 the past couple days, my wife and I have been walking the trails of our land. Really enjoy getting out there with her after a looooong winter!
Mike have you considered pulling the log out with the drawbar using the loader takes all the weight off the rear wheels and makes the tractor unstable plus in my experience tractors pull better going forward
Afternoon Mike, It’s amazing what hydraulics can do coupled with the right sized tractor!! No real good way to get the tree out even moving down at a 45 degree to the stump. I had a few trees pull my tractor the wrong way!!
Such a great movie. Good call Mike. Thanks again for your top videos Mike. Heaps of rain here in Australia at the moment. . We are loving it. Lots of wood cutting to come getting ready for our winter. My daughter and family were so happy to see her pop up on your tractor photo segment Thank you Morgans. Hope all is well.
Good morning Hunter :-) and family and friends :-) I saw this one posted late last night but it just feels more right to wait and watch in the morning -- with coffee ;-)
Old Man Fred We had a pretty good storm early yesterday morning with high winds. And the chance of rain off and on until early Thursday. Then it should be clear for a day or so.
Old Man Fred We did not get any rain yesterday and now there isn’t any in the forecast for the next few days. But probably in the next few weeks we will be getting this statement in every forecast until it cools down in the fall: “With a chance of afternoon widely scattered thunderstorms.”
Mike the next time you do that I will suggest you I will submit a suggestion and put it all done to it set where it rolls on it sit the log back down on that log and as you pull up the log that's under it will roll back and make it easier for you to pull that big tree backwards
C’mon, guys- Wallenstein was nice enough to fly you up to Minneanapolis(like the Donald called it), why not throw them a bone and use the skidding winch to get that beautiful specimen of a tree up the hill! Way better than Butcher Box. Sorry, been a loyal , thumbs up viewer for many, many years, but would rather see the skidding winch than selling meat online. Have a Day!

Mike saw with sandy has a solution for your soft spots in your trails, he takes the slab wood he does not make into fire wood, cuts it to length, and lays it cross ways on the trail. Making a wood type mat in the soft spot’s. You may need a couple of layers, but for the slabs that you normally burn, it would be a lot better than trying to lay geo tec and stone or rock down. Gust a idea. Not mine. Sawing with Sandy.

Mike did you ever check into the little laser that clamps on the handle and measures the 16 inches for you. Would save you time measuring every piece of firewood.

Mike , you want to pull the tree with the rear of the tractor. By lifting wth the bucket, your taking the weight off the rear wheels. I know the machine is four wheel drive , but the pulling power is with the rear tires.
