Original #TheRollingStones video: • The Rolling Stones - S...
There has never been a lead singer of musical group quite like Mick Jagger. He's truly one of a kind.
He invented duck lips 40 years before insta.
One of a kind cuz he doesn't ever sing. Good at what he does, but it ain't singin'. I love the Stones, but Mick's no singer.
@@gregnewman2512 Wrong.
Freddy Mercury???
@@eleven2170 mick!!!!!
Never been a huge rolling stones fan but the older I get the more I appreciate them.
Same. There was so much going on at the time musically, my attention was spread out.
@@hebber1961 I've become a big fan of their music from their inception to about 1985.
I didn’t ‘discover them’ until I was 17 after being largely dismissive of them and ignorant of their body of work.
All I knew was they had been around for an eternity, I had heard Satisfaction and Start me up which I both really liked.
I bought a cd of theirs (mainly out of curiosity) and was absolutely blown away.
I became obsessed with them and they remain my favourite artist of all time to this day.
That was me and Zep
Same here but you got to give to em
If you've ever seen the Stones live, Mick is just like that on stage; very dramatic and non-stop moving!
The most chill guy from this band was Charlie Watts, the drummer. Rest In Peace Charlie.
Mick was always the ORIGINAL FRONT MAN in rock history. He made up the book. Whatever Jagger does is just a natural expression, and free( although he does front a slight southern accent sometimes). Robert Plant, Bon Scott, Brian Johnson, Bon Jovi, Bruce.....all of them learned from the master how to capture an audience.
There's so much good stuff by the Stones.
Mick Jagger always seems like he has way too much fun, in a good way..lol.
LEX cracks me up: Did I just hear her say that Keith Richards "seems so chill and normal?" The rest of The Stones seem chill because they are truly living up to the name Stones/Stoned. Mick was always one of the most sensible and business-minded of all the members of the band. That said, this is one of my favorite Stone's videos to watch. It's just fun to watch the subtle dynamics in the band.
One of My Best Friends -Who passed away a Year ago January - Looked so Much like Mick Jagger & would Imitate Him EXACTLY like you see him in this Video & other ones. It was amazing to watch him - I miss My Friend Randy !! But seeing your Rolling Stones Salutes - Really Helps ,Now that he's Gone and to remember Him THANK YOU !! Jim
Okay, you two goof balls make me happy and bring back some great memories. Keep on keeping on!
This is on such a criminally underrated album by them. But then again following, Some Girls and before Tattoo You albums. It gets lost in between sometimes !
I love this song!! ❤
Epitome of Mick Jagger right here!!
Love the STONES!! 🥳❤👊🏽
Brad-"Such good lip control, ridiculous" lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who cracks up when I see Mick singing.
Great tune from an awesome album! Love Emotional Rescue. First Stones album I purchased in the summer of 1980. ✌️❤️🇨🇦
Yes! Agreed! Just commented about the same- “Emotional Rescue “ is a huge favorite of theirs- 👆🏻 and this one are top favs- I believe this was the flip side of “Emotional Rescue”- I had the 45 record in elementary school-
"Emotional Rescue" and this song are about the only ones I remember from this album. I'm a lot bigger fan of "Some Girls."
No one's cooler than The Stones. 💥💥💥👍😎
You're so right 🔝🔝👍👍
Yeahh
Always a pleasure. Thanx💞💓💖
Thank you for reacting 💛💗💓💞
OMG YOU GUYS Are HILARIOUS!!
You describe Mick Jagar to the tee
I love seeing how much you enjoy songs like this. I forgot how great a song that is and somehow never saw that great video!
When you're the greatest rock band ever, it all works.
You guys would love the Harlem Shuffle. The video is great and Mick dances the whole video.! ✌️♥️
This was recorded when dance music was outpacing rock in 80s. It's a departure from their other stuff and I loved it. They used to play it in the clubs in the 80s.
This might be my all-time favorite Brad & Lex reaction
Top!!! 🔝
Classic Stones song. All about the guitars and Charlie's driving drumbeat. Love Keith.
The Stones in the 70s and 80s attitude was.... we have made it. Now its time to have some fun.
Great reaction. More Stones please.
Long time fan, when I hear them I feel happy and at ease. They're like I don't give a F&^%k kinda band.
This is pure rock and roll, with emphasis on the roll. Extremely danceable!
For my fellow Stones fanatics, there’s an amazing live performance of this one from Texas.
Mick say basically it's his job to show off, which he does better then most!
Rolling Stone magazine, which most critics consider one of the most reliable authorities on rock music, ranked the Top Frontmen of All Time and it went like this:
1. Elvis Presley
2. James Brown
3. Mick Jagger
Undeniable!
The Stones always give fantastic concert!
The classic Stones style videos. Mick dancing around like a mad man and the bandmates trying to look natural. Keef always does the same pose. lol
Nooooobody does it like Mick. He's hysterical. 👍❤🤙
Yeah man yeah! One of my favourites by the rolling stones. Way cool! Get it Lex!
I bet not many people say Keith Richards is so normal
My thought too. Don’t really know Keith’s history and his role in the band.
Mick's antics that you are amused by are VERY effective live in concert. That's the best way to see them perform.
Memory Hotel, Almost Hear You Sigh, Miss You, Blinded By Love
My favorite Stones song!!!
I've never been the biggest Stones fan, but this track is one of my favorites. While so many R&R bands of this period had explosive drummers, the Stones had Charlie Watts, and I'm just as fascinated watching him, as he looks ready to fall asleep behind the kit 9/10 times. This is one of the few videos were he seems to actually crack a smile for just a brief moment. RIP
Charlie was the backbone of that band,he really has great chops and I'm sure you know he's a jazz drummer just like Ginger Baker from Cream and John Densmore of The Doors. 3 great jazz drummers who just happened to play Rock and Roll music. Love all 3 of them!! Don't underestimate Charlie Watts contributions and importance to The Stones sound, he was truly the perfect drummer for that band. 60 years in the drummers seat for a reason!!! RIP Charlie!!!
I miss Charlie
@@edwardcapobianco2975 Excellent Edward, you know your stuff . " Jammin with Edward"
Brad & Lex, you’ll love their "Lets Spend The Night Together" !!! She's So Cold is underrated, fun video.
Mick was the ultimate Diva.
I can relate to this song
Omg haven't heard this in a long time ✌🎶🎵❤ no his band mates are not normal......at all 😂😅🤣
Hal Prince said that when he and Stephen Sondheim were designing Sweeney Todd they decided that in fact less is NOT more, that for this show more IS more. I feel like The Stones always knew this. They aren’t exactly kings of subtlety but it works… gotta love ‘em.
I never laughed so hard at a reaction! I love you guys! Have a great weekend! Your friends from northeast Florida
You must not watch many reactions
@@thomassamburgh5904 Watch them all and nobody cares about your opinion.
I've seen them lucky 13x and they only did this song once. I went nuts😂
Debbie,, I saw them in 72,75 at msg NYC,in 78 in NJ,in 81 and 2002 in Philadelphia. Great band Great shows.
I love it (at 4:36 ) when Ronnie tells Keith: "I'm so hot for you (but) you're so cold!" and Keith rolls his eyes...
Probably all done a couple of takes... :) yes, just having a fun. From Emotional Rescue... not a critically acclaimed album but perhaps the most easily accessible to those unfamiliar with them.
one of my favourites
Sold way over 2 million copies and is a very good album. Tough for the Stones after the 70’s as everything they recorded was compared to Exile On Main Street or Sticky Fingers which are impossible to eclipse. Emotional Rescue sounds like the period and is a really good album
2nd...loving me some Stones this morning...Mahalo for this fun reaction...a hui hou
My face hurts
I'm just SHATTERED!!!
My favourite Rolling Stones song, thanks guys! 😎
This is such a fun song.
This song is so rock and roll forreal
Without the Drummer, Charlie Watts, holding it all together, the Stones would have never worked. He was the glue!
Amen, R.I.P.
This song and video are so awesome! (the antithesis to modern day)
Mick was very appreciated by the ladies. Eric Clapton once told about a party he was at... all the men and women were mingling. Til The Stones got there. He said that Mick had almost every female there surrounding only him.
An often over-looked gem from the 1980s Stones.
Yep Brad's right. Mick just having fun. Great reaction, thanks!
One of the best stone’s songs
Luv the Stones!
My favorite Stones song.
Mick jagger what a ham loves the attention. Love the stones. Great reaction lol
Comedian Steven Wright said- I love the Stones, how do they do it after all these years. Fred and Wilma
The Flintstones
The classic Stones vibe in a song that probably took them about 5 minutes to "write".
This was, shall we say, risque for it's day. It's a fun song.
It's funny to see the video, because at the time - IIRC - the Stones were perceived as dinosaurs ... unbelievably aged rockers. A Sixties band in the Eighties. Now they look young. :)
"As Tears Go By" needs to be heard
Loved Lex's impression of Jagger!
Can't go wrong with The
Strolling Bones.
Lex from 2:09 - 2:38, pure comedy genius, love that Jagger impersonation, laughing my ass off
That guy's got moves like Jagger!
Mick Jagger is from my County in England, Jagger is a supporter of music in schools, a patron of The Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford, and sponsors music through his Red Rooster Programme in its local schools. The Red Rooster name is taken from the title of one of the Rolling Stones' earliest singles.
Drummer, Charles Robert Watts (2 June 1941 - 24 August 2021) RIP.
The Mick Jagger Centre is a performing arts venue in Dartford, Kent, England, UK, within the grounds of Dartford Grammar School.
Thanks for telling us, Mick
Try their song RIP THIS JOINT 🎸
My friend Scott and I used to mimic Mick Jagger in this video, but we'd be even more extreme crawling on the floor, etc 😂
Lex is a precious gem ❤
One of their best and Jagger acting a fool in the video is great
Lmao❤ I grew up on this!! But I do understand as my daughter taught me to understand, moves like Jagger!!! Whew hunty!!
This and their song “Emotional Rescue” are my top favorites of theirs- I had the 45 vinyl/record in elementary school -and I’m pretty positive this was the flip side of “Emotional Rescue.” Which I’d love for y’all to do as well- 💞💙
The Stones in the 80's much different (but still the same ) because of the video era.. They did have 5 studio releases throughout the 80's and even though their output could not match the quality of earlier music.. there were some bangers mixed in.. including this one.. and really some other cool songs you could hit on yet ..if the couchgang votes them in..lol..Interesting review..
I don’t think they’ve done “Waiting on a Friend”, “One Hit (To The Body)”, or “Mixed Emotions”, all which kick ass in their own way from that decade.
Yeah, the band was clearly told to do a video, had no ideas other than "let Mick do his thing" and just ran with it. Fair enough, I suppose.
I never did see that "put your hand on the heat" bit before. I must have been very young, lol.
(And by "very young", I mean "17". Honestly don't know how I missed that.)
After "She's so cold",with its great guitar riff, there's no other way,you got to react to another Stones gem,"She's so hot"
Certainly, one of the most creative, prolific, and influential bands of all time. They are upper tier alongside other artists like Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Who, etc.
Definitely one of my favorites Stones songs. Jagger a trip love the lyrics
If you have not done Miss You by them, it should be next. Very funky and groovy and catchy
Brads shirt hahaha...remember genuine talent can make anything sound good
I know you will appreciate "Waiting On A Friend." 😊
Love your reactions♥ Keep it up🎸🎸🪗🎷
He was in his element. Loved him
You two are hilarious, this is by far my favorite of your reactions!! Very funny and entertaining, much love! ❤️🇱🇷🎼🎸🎶🎵
Mick aside, it's fun seeing Captain Jack Sparrow's "father" in an old video.
I’ve always thought that if there is a house band up in heaven,….it’s the Stones
Satisfaction is the best song by the stones. It's one of the top 3 most easily recognized. MJ "Bad' is another easily recognized.
You guys had me laughing out loud!!
Laughing about what ????
One comedian described Mick Jagger's performance as a "rooster on acid." That about does it.
Legends!
I sense 'It's Only Rock and Roll' in your future. This era of The Stones is bizarre and amazing at the same time. So many odd hits that only they could have written.
Keith will outlive us all 🤣🤣🤣
How bout "Sister Morphine" for another perspective.
Lex is so damn adorable and hilarious! You guys are awesome!
Great Jagger impersonation! Lol lol lol
This is a classic Mick Jagger vocal.
This track is an example of what makes his voice, and equally as important, his vocal style so unique which unfortunately is under appreciated by some but not by Brad and Lex here.
A conventional singer would sound silly singing this song.
Brad and Lex seem amazed by his moves and how he can pull off these lyrics but this is magnificently effortless for Mick. I don’t think Mick even appreciates how unique he is.
Mick elevates what is (by the Stones exalted standards) a pretty tame riff to new levels with his cool vocals.
The moves by Mick are as usual great and he is mesmerising working a small room.
As Keith Richards has said Mick could work any stage or even if he had to stand on a table better than anyone in the world and I agree with him.
This song is so hype, but only Charlie can make this song so laid back and groovy,RIP, Sir Watts!!!
I think you are two are becoming Stones fans. :)
