I had so many people tell me to visit the golden temple on my India travels so I went and it did not disappoint. It is incredible. I ended up just spending 3 days sitting by the pool people watching. Sunset was my favourite time. The prayers and the lights coming on was beautiful, one of my India highlights.

Holy smokes. The entry line at the Golden Temple makes TSA lines look like open meadows. For me, I rank this Amritsar episode as one of Gabe's top ten.
As a Sikh its awesome to see my favourite travel vlogger visit Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple), fun fact that spot were you were reading about Baba Deep Singh is exactly where he attained martydom.
SAT SREE AKAAL. Interesting, i read about the legendary Baba Deep Singh and his heroic struggle to reach the holy pool after reading your comment. Thanks
Dear Gabriel, Trust you are doing well. Excellent video of Amritsar's Golden Temple and it's surroundings on a beautiful day. Thanks for the divine experience. Please take care,
Glad to see you enjoyed the food and opted not get the water in the bowl 🥣 so you could get a lot more rice pudding. There are donation boxes throughout the Gurudwara complex for people to drop in some dough 💰. The building right in front of the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) entrance is where the sacred seat of the Guru is. People go in there to pay homage to all previous gurus. Those guys never lose shoes because they're so organized with the pigeon hole boxes. I've been there so many times since I arrived, I lost count but never lost my shoes. The clockwise going around (full circle) the Harmandir is known as parikarama in Hinduism. 🙏🏻😎🇮🇳
*Leonardo Di Kabrio* 🤣 I'm relatively outgoing, but I would feel so awkward with my camera around so many people. Props to you. Don't get me wrong, they seem like super nice people.
Hello Gabriel, I spent some days in Amristar ten years ago, I enjoyed the meal and also I slept in some kind of comunal dorm inside the temple, (one big pmace for Indians and other rooms for tourists non Indian) I don't know if exists now.. I really love the way you travel
Wow! Visited India few years ago to film one of our TV episode and it's too bad Amritsar wasn't included on my itinerary. Hence, thanks to this video. I somehow felt I visited because of how detailed this video is. Hopefully, I would get to really see this in the near future when my travel dart lands here in again!
I’ve been SO wanting to watch this video, and it did not disappoint. OMG! I found this to be 100% utterly fascinating and intriguing. Your channel opens my eyes to not only new adventures, but to new perspectives on this thing called life. Loved the music you used at the very end of this video. Currently your channel is BEST travel content on UA-cam! 👏❤️👏❤️
Loving this video. Thank you, Gabriel❤ It looks like one can spend the entire day there to get to experience the inside and all other areas of this temple.
I’m so glad you got the opportunity to visit the golden temple. You’re one of my favorites on UA-cam. I wake up hoping to see another video of your travels. Watching your adventures before I go to work has become one of my favorite pastimes. I can’t wait to see where you go next. All the respect and admiration in the world for you, my friend.
Quite an experience, almost otherworldly. And so colorful! Over here in the West one sees mostly grey and black hues. Original way to serve a meal, too. I wouldn't be surprised if the water they serve comes from the central lake. 🤭
Loving this video. Thank you, Gabriel❤ It looks like one can spend the entire day there to get to experience the inside and all other areas of this temple.
some of the most beautiful places in Ladakh- Zanskar Valley, Nubra Valley, Khardung La Pass, Pangong Lake(Pangong Tso). places to visit in Kashmir-Yusmarg, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam, Gurez Valley.
I was visiting the golden temple earlier this year and wasn’t allowed to inside while I see so many people doing it. I was only allowed to make pictures. Amazing place ❤
why u were not allowed ...everyone is allowed irrespective of race, gender and religion ...u should remove ur shoes , cover ur head and should be wearing decent cloths...do they told any reason why they stopped u?

Howdy Gabriel. This trip you must go to the northeast. Hornbill festival in Nagaland is starting soon. This time of year is really great for Meghalaya also. Beautiful places with great food.
It was bright, that's for sure. I saw other people wearing sunglasses though so I could have kept them on and probably gotten away with it, but no biggie either way. I survived.
The golden temple looks amazing in the night. We went in the daytime and then visited again in the night where we queued up to see the inner sanctuary where the line was not too bad.
Hi Gabe: Nice vlog of the Golden Temple. Would definitely want to see the Jalianwala Bagh Museum where hundreds of people who had assembled peacefully were gunned down without any warning by the British Army led by General Dyer. By the way, the name of the state Punjab (the first part of the name is pronounced exactly like the English word "pun") means land of 5 waters (rivers). The rivers are: Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas & Sutlej.
Enjoy Amritsar Gabe! It is a v special city for all Indians. The Golden Temple is an amazing space. Try the langar when you can. I am told the street food is awesome too, esp Amritsari naan bread and kulcha and lassi and...😂 Good luck!

That meal service is so cool! When you think about it you wonder why not more religions do this, to make a sort of almost spiritual experience out of sharing a meal with your fellow man. There is little more intimate and essential in life than to share a meal.
I still have no clue why indian music sounds like it's broadcast on AM radio. even live those guys sounded like they were really distorted. sounds cool though.

The inscription (In marble) at the entrance to the Golden Temple is to the soldiers of the 16 Sikh Regiment who were killed in Sri Lanka in 1987 fighting to recapture a fort taken by the Tamil Tigers.
Gabriel please apply some antifungal spray or cream on your feet. I do not mean to sound like a racist, but in any community foot wash pool you need to be very careful. Toenail fungus is commonly caught in such situations. Another common area is in public pools. See if you can get your hands on lamisil (terbinafine) in spray or cream form. Interesting video. I am assuming your next stop is Pakistan... interesting time to be visiting Pakistan at this time with all that has been going on in the Middle East. Safe travels!

Hello Gabriel. I spent some weeks in the northwest of India and loved it. I was not taken by Amritsar and at the Golden Temple and the crowds were massive. My favorite place was Srinagar. I stayed on a house boat on Dhal lake. It was so peaceful, beautiful and quiet. A wonderful rest near the end of a 6 week trip in India which mainly concentrated on Tiger safaris in Central India. Mind blowing.
