Wow! what a beautiful and charming village with the backdrop of jaw dropping mountains. I love the way you show us the different sides of India. I can tell you are in your happy place.
The sky is absolutely gorgeous against the mountains. Omg. Really pretty. Food looks great and very good prices!! Excellent deal on that room n view Your intro music in each video is on point. Continue to be safe and grateful to you for taking us along. Sending blessings 💜💙☮️🙏🏻🎀🦋🦋🦋☮️💙💙🙏🏻
Gabriel , Very glad you had good weather today . I had to smile when you mentioned “cow pies”. I was raised on a farm in NE Florida, and married into a dairy family , in the same community ! It was just funny that cow fertilizer had a Nick name 😂🤣 The prices of the hotel rooms really are variable in that area . Thank you for the walk about !
Great videos as always mate. Me being a keen fisherman I understand the British put trout in the side streams off the main river near Manali. For me hiking in there and finding them would be great fun. Safe travels, I watch all your videos. 👍📷
Although almost universally known as Vashisht, the local name of the village is Bosht; Vashisht(a) being the name of the Devta( local god). Across the river is the village of Goshal, home of Gautam Rishi, another of the Seven Sages.
I will try to stay at this hotel in next trip as the view is amazing. I had bypassed Vashisht inl last trip. It used to have private baths at the Hot Springs, when I visited 50 yrs ago. Diwali festivities in Kullu should be better than in Manali as Kullu is bigger town famous for outdoors festivals. You can make few videos about it. Great video coverage of village festivities and beautiful views. Good work as usual. Cheers!
Wow, you uploaded the video on the same day as recording it! Anyways, happy diwali and hope you enjoy the festival in Vashisht. Also its so inspiring that you are using the same blanket for the last 10 years. In this age of fast fashion it is so refreshing to see someone living so humbly but still enjoying life to the fullest. Waiting eagerly for your Manali video.
I had some great deals in Nepal, it's great seeing your rates for room and food. I was also lucky as I now have genius level 3 now and definitely makes a difference. Keep exploring Gabe 😊
Gabriel what great weather you are experiencing for this time of year ( November) in the beautiful Himalayas Village life is definitely resembling a picturesque mountain people celebrating and enjoying their lives. I remember the hot spring in the temple from your last visit. Very enjoyable episode. Peace ✌🏾 .
November is the right month to visit the Indian Himalayas, had Gabriel visited the same places he did on this trip in the month of Jan or Feb he would have been throughly disappointed just like when he was in Darjeeling and Sikkim earlier this year.
@@kapow4 When I am ready to trek The Himalayas. I will definitely contact you to answer some questions regarding the area. What Temples & Gudwara to see . Thanks 🙏🏾 again my friend.😊 Happy Diwali . Peace ✌🏾
@@olivermasih2587 Yes, please do as its thanks to comments like mine that steered Gabriel in the right direction of avoiding visiting months like Jan and Feb when he was in Sikkim and instead visit the himalayas in Nov/Dec instead. Look at the weather for Darjeeling or Gangtok on google today and you will find that there is an abundance of sunshine to follow in the next few days simply because of the month that we're in. And while you may get a few overcast days thrown in the majority of days in November will be quite clear unlike Jan/Feb and the same applies to the Himalayas of Himachal. While I am not familiar with gurudwaras I am fairly knowledgable on the Indian Himalayas since I was born and brought up in the region. Cheers.
That was awful to hear about the tunnel collapse yesterday. Hope all is well with you. I love Nepal it is so ethereal . Enjoying this so much nearly as much as 2016. How time flies.
Hi Gabriel, a wonderful small village with everything you need to enjoy your time there with surrounding areas where you can trek and explore. The people appear to be friendly and sociable; an overall pleasant place and the cost is very reasonable to really enjoy. The next destination should be interesting, you mentioned you haven't been there, so there should be some surprises.
Hey Gabe 😊 admire your style of traveling around the world. Love the mountains and Himalayas. Enjoy your adventure in India all the best. The room is amazing for that price can you share the name of the hotel and thr number of the hotel
Hey Gabe I would like to know if you will make a special video when you reach 100 countries? Because if you explore Africa or Latin America you could reach 100 countries which will be amazing
Wow nice. I was last in Vashishth in December 2009 or 10, dont quite remember. It was pretty cold and peaceful. There were very few tourists then and most of us would just sit down and get some heat at a local cafe/homestay, which had a tailor below. Your homestay looks lovely.
Gabe, a week or 2 ago when you were in one of the towns you said is would be a great spot to stay longer term...was it dharamkot? I think you were still near mcleod ganj. Thanks.
Truly enjoy walking with you. I would be afraid of rockslides to live there, but the people don’t seem worried. Wonder how much insurance is for home or business, if it’s available.😮❤
Although I plan to do the Everest Base Camp trek, I have no desire traveling as deeply into the Himalayas. I would prefer a hike in Yosemite Valley any day of the week. Namaste 🙏
Good thing you decided to NOT FILM THE DIETIES... they are local dieties and people won't kill you for filming them but its not considered APPROPRIATE for non subjects to film local traditions (for privacy of villagers and village traditions).
Hello Gabriel, FYI Zozila tunnel is getting ready by 2025 summer.. to get 365 days connection to Sri Nagar from Leh. By 2030 Leh Manali will have all the required tunnels ready for 365 days road travel. That means road journey to Leh from either side will be much much less spectacular.

Gabe, how many days ahead of arrival do you book your rooms? Really enjoy your adventurous videos. Thanks my friend. 🙂
Usually the day before.
Thanks.
Hi Gab. Always love the out of the way places you go to. Question: how do you handle the jet lag and time changes so well?
I don't deal with jet lag very well actually. Sometimes it messes me up for days, especially if it's an overnight flight.
what do you think about live-streaming here, on youtube, man? that would be your instant poll. anyways, thanks for the upload
Bottle of water ? Try Himalayan water it has healing properties.....
