@@Go2Mex Hay una razón histórica muy interesante por la que se llaman pulmonías, y nuevamente el vlogger evitó investigar esto. Se está volviendo complaciente.
My first trip to Mexico was in 1980. I was in my late 20s. I had hitch hiked from Toronto to Vancouver and then down to San Diego. I crossed over to Tijuana and took a bus to Mexicali and from there a train to Mazatlan. If I remember correctly it was about a 20 hr ride. Mazatlan was a lot different then. I didn't have much money then, so I slept in my sleeping bag near what could only be described as a drainage ditch near the beach. The mosquitoes were pretty bad. All the discomforts were worth it because those moments I experienced during those travels will always be considered the most memorable of my life!
The Pulmonias (what you where on) in Mazatlan are pretty cool but they're the most expensive way to get around. The Red truck taxi's are the better way if you are going somewhere with a group of people. Other then that the green busses are the way to go. Historico Mazatlan was the most interesting part of Mazatlan for us. -Marc
Wonderful, and to be honest Mexico videos have broken all the boredom that we suffer from the gray weather in Europe😂, Matzalan is beautiful city full of colors🎄🍻🎄
I loved my time in Mazatlan back in September. Hope you had a chance to go out and explore the malecón in the evening, as it was an amazing scene there, with the ocean and the all the people. The amount of construction there was incredible as well.
I love the vibrant colours of the buildings in Mexico. So fun and happy looking. Also the many green, shady parks of Mazatlan. Beaches.....mmmm? Thankyou for my travel through your eyes, Gabriel. Happy New Year 🎉 😀
I love Mazatlan! I rented a really cheap Airbnb close to the marina. I had a lap pool membership at the Alberca de Mazatlan .. 50 M lap pool. Best swims I ever had and I met so many incredible locals. I rented a bike from the superintendent of my building and I biked everywhere including the marina. Unfortunately, my bike got stolen and I had to pay the superintendent double the price of the actual bicycle. I still have fond memories of Mazatlan. Enjoy your time there Gabriel😊
Great mix of old and new. The old historical town looked beautiful, loved that it still has the old style of architecture in contrast to the modern high rises along the beach. The square where you had dinner looked amazing in the evening all lit up. Thank you for this interesting tour of Mazatlan, very informative.❤❤
Mazatlan had some of the best food and reasonably priced.A lot of people go to Mazatlan so they can go to the Copper Canyon which is a must see thing to do in Mexico
Mazatlan is, in my opinion at least, by far the most interesting ive seen during this Mexico vlog. I love that huge bay with that skyline and beach combined with that beautiful old town. Its like the best of both worlds. Plus because its a bigger city, it feels way less touristy. Oh and I have an idea. I see you hand out your e-books when you tip the channel which is great, but I dont really read e-books. What would be really cool is an audiobook version of those. I mean, you have a pretty good voice and plenty of experience narrating all these vlogs. Plus it would just be great to listen to those books while traveling! I know you are probably busy enough with the amount of content you are putting out, but I just thought that Gabriels stories narrated by you yourself would be pretty awesome! You could even put them on Spotify, I think they do audiobooks now too. Anyway, going on a mega hiking trip to Southern Germany in couple of weeks for about a month and I was thinking about which audiobooks to download because there will be many long train rides, so just thought that would be pretty cool to listen to while staring out the window looking at the landscapes! What could be better than listening to travel stories while traveling myself, right?
Just finished work, two coming days off and a new Gabriel video while having dinner and a beer. Warming up to go to the Philippines. I think I would like Mazatlán!

Spent 2 weeks in Baja California Sur, the last 4 weeks in Mazatlan. I've been many places in Mexico, Bacalar and Mazatlan are my favorite. Prepare for New Years eve , it is madness . Go near Valentino's onthe Malecon or Olas Atlas beach . Use Uber , that 200 peso ride in the pulmunia will cost you 50 pesos in an Uber . Don't use taxis at all . The bus will cost 30 pesos .
Was that a Banksy museum near the bus stop? I've never seen one of those before, but if so, you should stop there, that guy is great, check out his former "Dismaland" take on Disneyland.
Wonderful footage, Gabe. Do you ever get sick from drinks like mojotos (ice, water) or the food? I was in Teotihucan in May on a retreat. The entire group who extended their stay in Mexico City got sick except for me, who chose only to eat at the retreat center who pledged filtered water, good hygiene, and good refrigeration. Major concern for me to travel in Mexico and enjoy the local's food because of this - that's half the joy of travel (experiencing the food!). 🙃
Funny one about the cartel thing you said. Cool open air taxis. Nice Centro Historico. Beautiful cathedral architecture. Happy 2025 Gabriel and everyone.

Just started following you and enjoyed the Mazatlán video. I have been riding my motorcycle down from Calgary every winter for about 14 years. Mazatlán deserves more than the single day you gave it. Hi Gabriel, very interesting (as always). I would love to visit Mexico, particularly Mexico City but am apprehensive due to high crime rates. Is that overhyped ? The people seem lovely. Hope you are well? Happy New Year to you and all here. Kindest regards Gerry from Ireland
Mexico City is massive. Just visit the prominent areas and you should have a great experience. Like Gabe says, there are areas in every city that you should avoid.
Ado has 2 or 3 grades of bus in terms of luxury level like 1st to 3rd class basically. Platinum is the highest I think. But in this case I believe it is indeed a tourist bus from a quick Google. The smaller white buses are the local ones. If you can figure them out 😂.
What a shame that you’re not staying longer in Mazatlan. You could also have taken a series of luxury busses to Mexico City, staying at wonderful towns along the way…Durango, Taxco, Cuernavaca, Zacatecas, etc.
Taxco and Cuernevaca are south of Mexico City, I actually flew down there to explore that area. I've been to Zacatecas: ua-cam.com/video/qwWgaMrKcF8/v-deo.html

I think that's overhyped, Mexico City isn't one of the more dangerous Mexican cities. Probably no more dangerous than Los Angeles or New York.
Mexico City is massive. Just visit the prominent areas and you should have a great experience. Like Gabe says, there are areas in every city that you should avoid.
@BigBillyBowden thank you Billy. Happy New Year to you and all here.
@@gel2503 Happy New Year to you also! BTW, I'll be visiting Mexico City this year along with the Yucatan 👍
I live in Mexico City. It feels much safer than major US cities. I've been here for four years.
At the old town, restaurants are showing prices in dollars. Is that the price or pesos. $100 for eggs 😮
Yah and $200 with toast and coffee..😊
They use the same $ symbol for pesos, so that's 100 pesos which is about $5 USD.
@GabrielTravelerVideos thanks I almost crap&ed myself
Maybe sometime go to Coatepec or Xici
is 200 pesos expensive for the car ride? was the gringo Price?
You pay the Gringo price or you do the Gringo walk.😊
Mexicanos si, gringos no
IMO, Mazaltan looks lot cleaner than PV and affordable
Hi Gabriel do you have any plans to someday go to Argentina?
I'd love to see it.
Brazil!!!
Ado has 2 or 3 grades of bus in terms of luxury level like 1st to 3rd class basically. Platinum is the highest I think. But in this case I believe it is indeed a tourist bus from a quick Google. The smaller white buses are the local ones. If you can figure them out 😂.
Se llaman pulmonías they are fun tu ride with music in the night
What a shame that you’re not staying longer in Mazatlan. You could also have taken a series of luxury busses to Mexico City, staying at wonderful towns along the way…Durango, Taxco, Cuernavaca, Zacatecas, etc.
Taxco and Cuernevaca are south of Mexico City, I actually flew down there to explore that area. I've been to Zacatecas: ua-cam.com/video/qwWgaMrKcF8/v-deo.html
200 pesos? How long was that ride? You paid the gringo price, I'm sure. But, maybe you just didn't want to haggle on camera.
It was about twenty minutes, so probably the standard price for a touristy experience.
