Perfect Tempo, speed and groove. Dave, you are absolutely amazing............ I try so hard to listen to Pearl Jam of today but I just can't get that same feeling.
Dave A is such a powerhouse! His drumming is out of this world! It has to be an enormous advantage for the band to have someone that talented and special pouring his energy into the music this way! It was a crime to let him go, just because someone couldn't accept him as the rare human being he is. We love you, Dave ♥ You are GOAT!
Eddie's voice 'is flowing just as I'm breathing. His vocals inject oxygen into my blood. Keeping me alive for all this time. Leaving properly his mere great self on the stage. Wondrous artist, generous man. Here to stay ♾️♥️
how awesome it must have been to be able to see PJ on their VS tour and Nirvana on the In Utero tour in 93. Screaming Trees touring Sweet Oblivion still. Smashing Pumpkins touring Siamese Dreams. man what a year. too bad I was too young then, only 7.
That’s literally what I did. Saw the 12/7/93 Pearl Jam show, saw Nirvana in Boise 8 days later. Three months prior to that, saw AIC. Incredible, unforgettable
Love the black Les Paul Custom Mike's playing. I have a similar Les Paul Custom same color but a 2 humbucker model. Mike's Custom has 3. Great guitars.
Can you imagine having songs like Dissident, present Tense, Go, Leash and newer Severed Hand that don't make the must play list at your shows! What a catalog these guys have created! Many of us would love to see a show with only these songs, but we don't know what we are thinking.
Bryan Hopkins Agree. He ‘raped’ his vocal cords night after night. Still, I can listen to PJ life perfomances up to 2000’ tour. Even 2006, maybe. After that, his voice started to bother me more than MC drumming.
I think that this era was the strongest and the furiest for the band and Ed.; After that he calm down in all areas. This years 93/94 he drank a lot and was much angry and furious with the press. This made him sing with more potency and power. It was a sum of peak (top manstream) with fury and alcohol
As someone who used to call Italy and Germany to order cds that had unknown sound quality and cost $40.00 per case plus shipping, I really appreciate the internet and especially You Tube.
No doubt brother! Once paid 60 for a double Aussie bootleg. Still a prized possession from the Era. But being able to see them on 9/1/22 then wake up on 9/2 and watch the highlights here is freaking SWEET
Thank you so much for posting this. I have enough PJ bootlegs to listen to for a month straight. Even from this time but somehow these versions I’ve never heard. Thank you really so much this gift. Lucky to not only hear but watch. With great quality as well. Awesomeness this is 🤘🏻
Have to imagine there’s a reason why many of the songs in the second half are cut short. It’s driving me out of my f’ing mind. Still have about 8 minutes to go. Just cut Why Go short..so many though. Listen I appreciate all PJ from this time period. You got solid audio and video for the most part here. Just the songs being cut short in the second half???🤯.. Again imagine there’s a reason this happened as the first half is for the most part is a gift… If you see this comment could you please tell me what the issue was that so many were cut short??
Where in the actual fuck did you get the footage from Seattle 12/7/93??! I’ve never seen a video of this show from this angle. This was my very first PJ show ever.
I think Stone was my apartment mate with Jason way back when. Chris Cornell and Kim Thyal came around. Apparently Eddie had a problem with almost everyone. He wasn't involved with what was going on in the area. So he's exempt from us and our faults.
34 minutes in it looks almost like Dave forgot what he was supposed to do, they wanted to slow down but he kept it heavy so they just went with it. Lol
Back then, we always allowed each other to take the songs wherever we felt like taking them. We were very much in tune with the energy of the moment. I felt like going where I went and the fellows went with me! The energy of that night was electric!
I wish I had seen them when they were good with Dave Abbruzzese. Saw them in 98 and they were so lame. Saw them again 2003 and left after 20 minutes. They really suck ass without him on drums.
I would call this video : "A tribute to Dave A."
Couldn't agree more!!!
In fact, the song Go was written by Dave (including the riff) and in my opinion it is one of the best songs of the band
They were so lit, just gnarly back then THESE “5” without a doubt are the Band that made PJ the Greatest Live American Rock Band of ALL time!
He was a beast! If Eddie was just a bit more tolerant of diff personalities other then his own!😂snowflake!
He's a beast. One of the best ever.
VS. album the drumming insane with ghost notes symbol work genius just can only say “Thank You”
dave abruzzese, dave grohl, dave lombardo, name your son dave and he'll be a great drummer
Dave A is soo good, Eddie was threatened so he fired Dave
@@user-dc1sk5to3m LMAO what? threatened how?
@@AtomicMushroomz well, Dave might become more famous than Eddie... just like Kurt was threatened by Dave Grohl
Dave Krusen

Best Pearl Jam drummer
I still listen to them but man I do miss their “classic sound.” It’s evolution baby.
wow i have the same feeling to, i really2 try so hard to listen to pearl jam, man it's not even the same
Ed's even better the last ten years though. More well rounded than even the 1st couple years. But this is just one expert's opinion

Abbruzzese! The power of this performance... Eddie's voice, Mike's playing. It's all peak PJ...

Eddies voice changed after this tour.

For me Eddie Vedder changes his voice in every album
@@RotoSphere its sad cus he chose not to take singing lessons so he could do the same kind of screaming but in a healthy way... not sure why
@@TheNBSPerry that kind of stuff wasn't really well known back at that time.
This was the best time for pearl jam

Remember when the lighting tech was as important to the show as any member of the band?

Mike y Dave on their prime. The VS álbum Is the best!!! Including Ten AND Vitalogy.
Best band in the world still going besides the Stones and Chili Peppers!
Dave A ft. Pearl Jam
All downhill after they got rid of Dave
Were they bad before Dave too? Did Ten suck?
Agreed. Dave A was easily their strongest drummer. He had a swing the others just don’t have.
Mmmmm no
