I was cheated on 10 years ago. I really loved him and hoped we'd have a future together. After I got pregnant, things started to change. Alright. First of all- There are a number of reasons why anyone cheats. It's certainly not only men who do it. And I do believe that the saying "Oh, all men cheat" IS a cop out. There is a societal expectation that men will be always sexually active, always "hunting". And that simply isn't true. The whole idea that for men, sex is JUST sex is BS. Women aren't the only ones capable of forming emotional attachment- but men are told by society that they aren't allowed to feel that way (that's a whole 'nother issue). Men don't have a "predator" reflex- that's perpetuating the idea that men are all "animals", who can't control themselves when they see an inch of skin. I was cheated on 10 years ago. I really loved him and hoped we'd have a future together. After I got pregnant, things started to change. I figured it was due to his schedule, working full-time and going to school. I thought perhaps I was paranoid.

Kay You That is definitely true as well. I feel most instances of cheating that I've seen are usually because needs are not being met and they simply want to find someone who can fulfill their needs better. But defiantly cheating just because of lust is a reason to.
You're extremely simplifying what men want from a relationship by implying that its all about their physical needs when if that was the case then why would they ever commit to a relationship with one woman in the first place? Men have feelings too and I think you'll find that the emotional aspect of a relationship is just as important for men as it is women. I think you'll find the main reason a man would cheat on his woman is if hes no longer getting the same feelings from being with that woman because she's not putting effort into the relationship anymore to make him feel important. Not hard to see how cheating would be seen as desirable when the person your with is no longer making you feel important to them and then some woman shows interest in you giving you that important self esteem boost to make you feel good which you're partner hasn't been giving you.

If a man was just after physical pleasure then they wouldn't have settled for a relationship with one person in the first place. While I will admit to men desiring sex more than women from their relationship I still believe that to be just a bonus of the relationship for the man and the core of the relationship still being emotions just like it is for a woman.
