- Motorcycle builds require a motorcycle, tools, skills, and most importantly patience!
In the episode of FIX THE XJ6 I get the front suspension finished up and then move on to getting the bike back together. This is where the problems started again, as frustrating as it is I understand how it happens and know it will be sorted soon for me and won't happen to others now.
Big thanks to these people for supporting this build:

oh so thats how the suspension works. thanks this was very helpful. :)
The noise of that airgun brought so many nice memories of my late Dad then. :)
It's funny how sound have such connects to memories. 🙂
Nothing ever go's to plan little job's always take longer just gotta except it . If it runs smoothly then that's a nice surprise if their is no pressure to get things back together ( mañana ) is another day good true watch cheers : )
Pretty interesting video, its good that you leave the problems you come across in.
Great video my spicy110 keep up with the good work
And to add to our frustration, getting parts shipped from Japan right now is a nightmare 😱. (Lack of planes to carry freight 🤔?) I’ve put my ‘79 SR500 project on hold, because it took four months to get the “insulation” for the back side of my DR-z’s right “number plate” panel from Japan 😳. That’s why I enjoy watching your videos so much......misery loves company 🤪!
once again thanks for the info .so when im working on my 80 honda cb650 custom thanks for the great vids .nelson ont canada
Wonderful presentation. Keep going❤️
Rounds/Shells/Bullet video please ♥
Show your fave ones with the background to how you got started with the collection, and any stories to go with any particular purchases.
😁👍
Have you seen my video on the collection?
Episode 742.25 on the quick few service jobs on Divi. Spicy finds yet another problem causing delays to his quick jobs. Derek begins to think Spicy loves Divi more as he promised it wouldn’t take as long as his did but now it looks like it will take the rest of his living days. As a result Derek finally coughs it on his dying battery and refuses to start just to get Spicy’s attention.
Accurate
Another great vid in this great series.😉🙂
Nice to know I'm not the only one waiting for last minute parts ;-P If your going for a micrometer you may need 2 , a 0-1" (0-25mm) and 1 - 2" (25 -50mm) Also if your looking for more thing to spend on a could of precision V blocks and a dial gauge with a magnetic stand. That's what you use to check round things to see if they are truly round. With 2 V blocks you check to see if your have bent fork tubes or axles etc. Things you learn to use a lot when racing and crashing (...occasionally...)
WeMoto trolling hard
You poor sod Spicy, how frustrating - we all know that feeling. Shame TRK supply sub standard parts - sort your QA out TRK! Keep going brother :)
nice vid
Their is a whole series if you are interested. 🙂👍
Thanks your patrons, subscribers....and.....the guys that helped you out with Derrick
Love the jigger jigger gun! :D
All I can ever thing of is Wayne's World! 😆
@@spicy110 God not seen that film in years!
Spicy110's almost functioning, prosthetic hands!
hope fam are all well mate bit of snow my way how much you had
I just done my rear brake and the trk kit I got was basically the same for me the piston didn't seem to want to go past the rubbers without a lot of pressure but looked identical to the oem piston its in and it works as it should but seeing you have problems with yours does give me concerns about mine
Hey Spicy, I know youve just changed the tires but could you do a video on manually changing them? I have 3 tyre levers and a dream XD
i don't even do that myself. I take them loose to a garage and pay them to change them over.
I've done it before and it was a pain in the arse. It's quite similar to changing over a normal bike tyre honestly, just a thousand times more difficult
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Re putting back your sprocket, could you comment on an advert I saw recently where titanium bolts were involved which said don't forget to use:
a) medium thread lock compound
b) anti-galling compound (abrasion for dissimilar metals?)
c) copper slip
A lot (too much?) to think about but what's your view?
@15:50 and that is why kids, you buy genuine parts.
i were so confused when taking my rear wheel off on my yamaha yzf r125 ..was like what the hell are these rubber things aha
Had same issue with seals n piston on car, much more annoying when uve spent ages taking it apart outside at 1 degree C! Especially when its ur daily driver 😡
Nice vid..do you know if there are some bushes under raisers? Mine handlebars has some play when I pull right or left side towards me..raisers are tight but it looks like bolts that goes through top yoke has play..tried to tight them up but cant anymore..nuts are tight..any idea?
I have searched for my bike here but you can do the same for your exact model and see all the parts involved. www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/6465010/xj6s-diversion-36c4-2010-050-c/steering
@@spicy110 thank you..chcecked that website already .nothing there same as for you model. Was wondering if you disassmbled them before so you may know..thanks anyway
I was wondering in the last video why you had an impact driver rather than an impact wrench... Impact wrench would get those off in seconds.
I wanted something in the middle by the driver should do 160nm so I thought it would be fine for most smaller jobs.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I was expecting to see a cordless impact wrench, was not surprised it wasn't man enough for the sprocket.
Spicy, where can I get new front forks for the XJ6? I’ve completely bent mine in an accident… thank you
Probably the best option is get on eBay and try and find a good set for sale on there or the owners groups on Facebook. Buying new would be very very expensive.
@@spicy110 thanks mate
@ spicy110 recently my front brake lever has loss of pressure but gets pressure once pumped I have no leaks brand new braided lines 2019 I drive all year round and through the snow I have just seen they are bunged up with shit would this cause the lever issue?
If you have no pressure and no leaks or air in the system, my money is on you need to rebuild the master cylinder.
I have pressure when I pump it then works fine. Could it be possible that there is to much grunge stick in the calipers
hmmm ..." i need diferent rubbers for the front ..." ??!?!?!? Where else would they go ??? 🤣🤣🤣
I saw some TRK parts on WEMoto. They don't look like a quality manufacturer. I'll just buy genuine parts. Should just fit.
I have been using TRK parts for a few years no issues apart from recently and that's due to supplier changes. Sure you can by genuine but at up to 4x the cost it's is not always that simple.
@@spicy110 At UK prices it can be 10x the price easily. £11 for a part in Thailand, £133 in the U.K.
Thought that the old crazy spicy was back at the beginning their, have you being drinking too much caffeine again
So annoying when wring parts hold up ur build 😖
WeMoto aren't coming out of this build looking good, whatever explanations are given. They may not get out of the sponsorship what they intended.
We have been working on stuff together and I have been using them for year's. This one order is one of the few issues I have ever had. As discussed I called them to talk about it and from what I am told I think it makes sense.
There was the wrong fork seals in the last video and in this video the cog damper rubbers and the caliper rebuild kit...no not so good at all
BERGENOST!!!!!!
TIL: Don't use TRK parts.
These are the only ones I have had issues with in all the years I have used them.
What ive learnt from this video... dont buy anything from wemoto

@@spicy110 I appreciate that. But they cant expect their customers to be their quality control department. This should all be checked before its put up for sale.
It's the sizing tolerance issue, they don't have one of every bike to check it will work. They got me a oem replacement next day with the piston.
@@spicy110 again i understand but having a component be able to be used as intended is quality control. And of course theyre going to get you an OEM replacement youre promoting their company, no this is just an assumption but theyre hardly going to send out oem parts every time one of the patern parts fails, thats going to cost them money not make them any
@@vector198 Just to add to your comment, in the car world there are many parts suppliers, here in the north east we have the likes of parts alliance and euro car parts. Both supply after market car parts but one is say on average £5 more expensive and it shows in the quality or parts. Like in life you get what you pay for. Having never used wemoto we can't really comment but for one thing to be bad out of many items then maybe its just a slip, fingers crossed. We shall see in time.
