So cool!! 🚀
These old books are a joy to read..
Fab selections Gavin. I can recommend most if not all. A few I haven't read but do love When Worlds Collide. After Worlds is good as well. I can't find my Radium Age volumes nor most of the British Library books. Asimov's Before the Golden Age is a fabulous overview of SF of the period.
I need to continue with my SF Shelf Tour which covers a large part of Rocket Summer.
Thanks Shawn, think I’m going to invest in some good coffee in July to get as many read as I can..
Happy reading everyone. Best wishes.
Thanks! July is going to be fun!
Great video Gavin. I am hoping to read The Clockwork Man from the Radium Age book series. I love your approach.
Thanks again! The Clockwork Man looks like a good one, I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts on it.
I'd never heard of the radium age label. The radium age volumes sound interesting!
FWIW, The World of the Red Sun was Simak's first published story.
Simak had such a long career- it will be interesting to see the beginning.
When Worlds Collide didn’t make the cut for my Rocket Summer. It is available on Kindle and so is the sequel. I do want to get to them someday.
Dilating time sounds like a great plan if you can pull it off .😀
Kindle might be a good option; the print in my paperback is teeny-tiny. I’ll let you know if the sequel matches the first book..
I think I mentioned in an earlier comment that I was drawn to those two radium age books....I'll have to see if I can find them.
There’s an intriguing mix - they also do novels, which to be fair, can be picked up from Gutenberg in most cases.
These are your possibilities for the first week? July is going to have to be three months long, I think. Terrific video, Gavin. Lots of great options.
Thanks Pat, that’s why I’m getting the July reading possibilities recorded in June- it will free up a little time :)
