You've been having some great results this year after picking up salmon fishing. Those salmon really gave you a good fight on your light gear. On such a beautiful morning, it's amazing that you such a quiet spot all to yourself. I've been looking for a net and yours looks pretty nice. Is it solid and reliable? If so, where'd you get it? Thanks.
Yeah indeed been a good year salmon fishing so far, specially considering it's my first year targeting them. There is so much learning going on, both on and off water. The net is lucky strike foldable rubber net I got from Canadian tire and so far it's holding really well. It's lightweight compact and sturdy at the same time. I will see how it stands against the test of time and a 30lb Chinook(in my dreams) lol
Thanks bro! Soloking is a lot smoother in comparison to Zephyr. Even with a deeper spool and 15lb braid I am able to cast 1/4th oz lures to the horizon lol. I am sure with the shallow spool and lighter line this would outperform all the BFS feels I have (Zephyr, Sabre jks and Dark wolf ultra)
@@crankbaiter_fishing thank you for your insight . I've been looking at it for awhile now And I'm gonna get it for the coming spring thanks to you . I'm excited to get to fishing I wanna get a tucktec foldable kayak
@@blicky308 go for it. But there are more reels coming out and there is a soloking Acura pro out already which seems to have better reviews than this. Check what's on the market by spring before getting this one. I almost got the tucktec used from FB this year, but didn't have room to store it lol so dropped the plan. Hopefully I will get it next year.
@@crankbaiter_fishing I just got a goodjob so I hope to splurge a little on myself by next season I wanna be set for fishing without having to worry about anything potential hiccups . I do want the pro version of it but in the end if I can snag an aldebaren for a good price from Japan or a calcutta I might
@@blicky308 will always opt for the JDM reels if I could! Because no matter how well the CDM BFS reels perform the quality and the material that goes in making the JDM reels is far more. superior
Hey, excellent day! Oh, I know this spot! It's the middle of nowhere!! 😀
Haha, I am surprised no one asked for the spot yet! It's hard to find a good fishing spot in Vancouver!
was this actually vancouver or surrey? lovely video.
greater Vancouver! Thanks

Nice catch 🤩 how's the soloking compared to the zephyr ? Have you tried throwing on the light side of lures

Good video! When was this filmed?
Yesterday (Oct 29th 8:00AM to 12:00PM~)
Nice to finally get some action ay.
Yeah, a day I longed for in a long time! Wonder what will happen if I take my true BFS gear for salmon fishing!
