- Better weather today helped crews continue the work to clear the shipping channel into the Port of Baltimore. Cranes moving massive sections of the bridge and we see a wayward kayak venture into the Safety Zone.

Brandon Shores Power Plant
This plant is the cleanest burning coal plant in the country due to the new scrubbing technology that cost almost 2 billion dollars to install.
The project is currently owned by Talen Energy Supply with a stake of 100%. It is a Steam Turbine power plant. Jan 31, 2024

I watched a video of the explosive units. When on the bridge they would look like a double band of black electric tape. Also maybe you can explain tomorrow the Minorcon Navy. The name and what it involves. Thanks Mr Andy

I wonder if the bridge can be made it up higher I did watch some other video on truck for this one is about them hitting the bridge on the driveway it’s a 11 foot high 8 feet wide

i would imagine, having watched a few demolitions on the box etc, that nothing has been rigged while the crews are using thermal torches to cut parts of the trusses - you'll soon know when you see a mass of yellow detonation lines rigged to blow
this work should be pretty straight forward even though the bridge itself is pretty precarious, the remaining piers will be interesting to tackle, as i have suggested previously, putting stuff up is one thing, taking it down is another especially when it becomes the scene of an horrible accident as this - again many thanks to Captain Andy for his amazing coverage

Thanks for the great video and commentary. Do all the salvage barges move back into shore and dock every night? I noticed last night ,some late evening video and none of the barges were around. I thought it might be in preparation for the explosive demo.

Power plant
That is steam, not smoke, it comes from the Brandon Shores Power Plant (coal fired).
The powerplant uses "scrubbers" to clean the exhaust fumes and the result is a water-based liquid.. so that is actually steam not smoke
I wonder if those billions we sent to foreign nations could have been used to invest in our infrastructure and prevent things like this.

Not enough focus on the Dali, that is the focal point that everyone is interested in. Im not sure what the infatuation is with this section. It is the Dali span that captures interest.
