    Thanks Ben!
I've watched a LOT of F405 & iNav videos lately, but yours answered a tremendous amount of questioms I had, not only for the wiring, but in your follow up video regarding iNav.
    Well done indeed!

This is the build Im planning too. The AR900 is a great platform, but its iNav that is daunting! There is a LOT to learn to get it complete and performing.
I've also 4 Ritewing Draks - 2 Nano's, 1 Mini, and 1 BIG Drak, that once I'm familiar w/iNav, I plan on moving up to the F765 for more features to install in tje Draks...
So much to learn, but I thought the AR900 would be the perfect guinea pig for my "mad-scientist" experimemts.
      Hope yours go well. 👍🏼

Gr8 video this board has replaced boards that at the start of the year where seen as ground breaking like the AIR 3 Inav board that was setup foe planed but need Ubecs and external osd all sorts of added crap. Really liking what ai have seen of this board.
But since being involved in the 4g mod of the disco and flying 30km I haven't launched my Opterra in over a year. Only flown once and first ever plane I flew, without stabiliser. It is the best plane for long range I feel as once in the air the amp draw is so low to keep it flying its like it stays up by itself.
Would love to know your thoughts on its flight characteristics. My other firt plane never gor more than 10 m off the ground before reinstalling so I dont count that as first flight. It disnt fly it feel! It was a plane not a wing though both 2m. Why I thought they would make good first planes is so stupid to me now. All the best gr8 video will follow your journey see how u go. 😊

Do you only have 3 wires going to your Video transmitter, the yellow signal wire and then a ground and hot wire? I was confused when i read the wiring diagram because it looks like there's more than that. Thanks for your help. great video!!

I'm about to try this board in a FT Spear. I've used betaflight bit this will be a first with iNav and GPS. Does the GPS and barometer offer anything close to an auto-landing or is it more of an "approximate" return to home airspace?

    • @thegreatflyingbenjamin
      @thegreatflyingbenjamin  5 років тому

I've seen auto landing in some other iNav videos, but I don't know how it would account for trees or obstacles. It seems to fly in a radius and lower the altitude after each pass until it's on the ground. I personally set mine up for return to home, then loiter until I can manually take it over and land. So in my case it turns around, comes home and flies in a radius around where you set the home location (which you want to do before every flight).

    • @thegreatflyingbenjamin

With this board it's actually a PDB so you wire the battery straight to the board and that gives you battery voltage on the screen

Hi, at 8.21 you have a wiring diagram that shows the receiver smart port connecting to tx2.... I notice on your actual reciever you only have 3 wires ( sbus signal, 5v and ground).... I'm guessing on your build you have left the tx2 empty?

    • @thegreatflyingbenjamin

Since the FrSky L9R is a non-telemetry receiver, I don't see a way of getting RSSI from it. There are plenty of other receivers that would give you telemetry, but from what I've read, this can't.
