fun fact! the jellyfish danny sees is a photograph by Matthew Smith from the 2014 Australian geographic photography competition, and it was the overall winner. I recognised the picture because I own the book of the competition. Also, its called a Portuguese *man* of war, which is probably why it showed up. People usually just call them Bluebottles, and they're really four different organisms joined together- the reason they live half in/half out of water is because they use the floating part of themselves as a sail!

Portuguese men-o-war and other siphonophores are composed of cloned individuals called "zooids" that each serve different functions, for example, floating the organism on the water, stinging, eating, etc.
