Today I wanted to talk about the ways I use tarot, oracle and reading cards outside of just divination, hopefully offering you ways to use your own card more than for just readings.

I recently bought a copy of the Considerate Cat Tarot and I found that the Four of Cups card features a cat who looks exactly like my cat who passed away a few years ago. I find I like to use that card whenever I spend time in remembrance of him.
this is the most wholesome "witchy" thing I've ever read and I love this story. Thank you for this lol
I use my cards daily and they have been life changing for me. I use them for release work, manifesting, banishing and journaling. They are a guiding force and I never tire of them.
This is an excellent video. I would like to personally thank you for representing the Witch community in such a positive way and for not balking at the difficult subjects (such as hexing and binding). I am a new subscriber from the USA but I have been a witch for 38 years. So you are like a breath of fresh air.
I use my Oracle and Tarot cards in ritual and in spell workings, just as you described. I agree that it is a shame that some cards have to sit on a shelf, out of use for long periods of time. I describe it as feeling them become like a dead battery cell that needs to be recharged.
Again, thank you for courage and for sharing your knowledge.
Love it! The only way I ever used a card aside from divination is by using it as a prompt for writing into my journal... not so magical xD
My favorite way to use cards outside of divination is to help me find out what kind of energy would be good for me to raise at the moment - whether that's for magical power or just for well being in daily life.
Now I have more ideas for what to do with them outside divination, so thanks! I'm probably going to start with creating a manifestation altar. I've never done anything like that before.
I use them for sabbat decor/representation. I have a woodlands deck and for Ostara I displayed the Hare, the Sheep, and the Butterfly. So pretty!
As a tarot and oracle deck junkie, this video is absolutely perfect for me.
I have certain decks I use basically every day but there are others that are more “neglected” and I’ve been thinking recently about using them for spell work... this gave me lots of inspiration and the push I needed, thank you 🌈😍
When I have no drawing ideas I use my tarot and oracle cards to come up with an idea. I draw one for the characters, one for the theme or mood of the drawing, and one for setting
I am looking forward to getting my first set! I really think the meditation would help me!
I took my current and favorite deck with me to a Spravato treatment. It was PERFECT for me to use to focus on each card. It was wonderful to meditate on them while doing a treatment and I feel I even bonded to not only the deck but to Tarot overall. Pretty cool for a reader for over 50 years! I pondered on each one, putting aside the ones I felt super connected to. And then I went through that favorite stack again.
For those that don't know what Spravato is, it's a type of Ketamine treatment for those that have treatment resistant depression.
I’ll use some pentacle cards and the chariot to manifest my Tesla ;)
Not exactly a manifestation altar but when i feel particularly drawn to the energy of a card and it’s been coming up a lot in readings i’ll tuck it into the corner of my mirror as a kind of passive manifestation spell to remind myself what i want to “reflect”
I have the ancestor Oracle of the Celts that I found a while back it's a reprint of an older deck but it has a set in them that is based off of a cauldron found in a bog in Denmark from around the 6th century ce and those cards specifically ask questions to kind of draw you in deeper to the reading and I like to use those question cards as writing prompts in my journals it helps me to stay a little bit more mindful.
Such a great video. I did a money working with my homemade tarot deck, specifically the six of pentacles. I was applying for a loan the next day and it went better than I even expected!
I love all your ideas! Keep up the inspiring work. ❤️
So useful, thorough and informative! Thank you hearth 💜💜
So much amazing info I would have never thought about! Thank you for your wonderful videos!
This is super helpful I got tarot cards back in May and I haven’t had much time to use them.
This is great! I remember asking this in your live Q&A and I appreciate you making a full video! I haven't thought of making copies of my tarot deck and using them as taglocks, so great! Thanks for sharing this! 😊
This was very interesting. Thanks so much for the video. Hope to try this out this weekend. Blessings to you, always.
I have learned so much watching your videos. You are awesome!
Really inspiring video Hearth, thank you 😊 This year I’ve been working with Runes so my divination/tarot cards have mostly been overlooked, your enthusiasm has reminded me of how much I love my decks so over this Winter I will be using them in the many ways you mention here.
Your videos always help me work through blocks/puzzles in my occult journey. Good vid, thanks for all ya do!
Love this video!! I never liked normal journaling until the day I realized that tarot journaling helped so much! I pull a tarot or oracle card daily, and use tarot in most of my spell work!
Thank you so much for this video. I do readings and daily draws but this really gave me ideas for using my decks.
✨I did this naturally. I knew you could use the cards for spells and altars.🌛🌕🌜🌞🔮😃✨
Samee
Very helpful! Thank you!
Really love your videos you explain so well
Thanks again Hearth
This was really helpful thank u - I love to use goddess decks to represent various deities. I love the idea of working more closely with the queen of the moon during moon phases. I think meditation with some of those cards could be amazing. 😊 xx
I learn a ton from you!
Forgot to tell you ...an excellent and informative video! Thank you!
Hi Hearth! Thank you for this informative video. I like to use my Kuan Yin Oracle and the Rider Waite cards for a daily pull. I have found that the messages compliment each other. I keep the message on my mind for the day. Also, I journal the daily pull.
So insightful, thank you. I love tarot, but at this stage of life I don't question my future anymore. This may help me get in touch with my beautiful decks.
Great information! I haven't seen anyone else do a video on this.
Hi Hearth! I love to incorporate my oracle cards when working with the tarot readings so that I could get a deeper more profound reading. The Oracle decks I have been using are the "Vintage Wisdom Oracle" by Victoria Moseley and "The Mystical Shaman Oracle" combining these cards with the "The Guardians" Tarot and "The Wild Unknown" Tarot. Depending on my mood or type of reading I want to achieve I would mix different oracle and tarot cards together--usually placing the oracle cards I draw on top of each individual tarot card drawn in a reading. Also, I usually journal every Tarot reading that I do in a personal notebook.
Lovely video, thank you :)
Thanks I’ve started to put them on my altar and I have a tarot deck that has spells that I can use the cards with so I’m learning to use them in different ways .
Excellent video. Personally I have the moon on my altar right now and it makes me feel really good when I see it :) might not be for everyone but for me it helps.
I use my cards for meditation and for the base for mini crystal grids, or as altar pictures. I also use Tarot Cards for RPG games to make stories.
I actually have a video like this on a different channel. I love it.. I use mine in the craft.. I use mine for self help. To pull a card a day, I do readings for myself as well.
As I'm watching this video the eight of wands is under my pillow.
Love your channel
Interesting video. Good points. Thank you for doing Tarot also…
Hi Hearth. I really appreciate all your ideas in your video's. I'm probably twice your age...at least; and I was slow to this path. Thank you for your help! ❤
I love to put my Tarot cards on my altar!
I have 6 decks and I only use them from one purpose till now... Thanks Hearth
Since my beginning of tarot cards use, which is considerably recent, I have used it to make the present clear and have insights too. Rarely for divination. (Maybe that is a trace because I was from Christian religion and taught it was wrong to use it or look for divination in general) but since the moment I decided to have no religion, I am breaking this way kf thinking in myself... I'm more open to learnings in general. From many religions and beliefs😊
Hello to England!!! Maybe i have an idea for a topic. A video about the "Rauhnächte/Rauhnaechte". Rituals for those days between Dez. 21st and 1st Jan. What could we use to smudged? For what do we smudge? From where r these days coming? Sorry, i dont know if theres an english word for "Rauhnächte" :( . Maybe u like the idea talking abou that.
Another topic is, "are there very old witch-books"? What are the oldest knowing witch-books in history? Greetings from Germany and ty very very much for all of ur Videos!
Your speaking my language❣
I have a zodiac Oracle deck. And, for my mercury retrograde working I have my mercury card and my scorpio card next to the candle. 😊
A fun thing to do with taro which uncle Birch's last live stream taught me because I pissed at him a little bit about Tarot is you can shuffle them divide the cards up and makes your friends and get them to say a story that make sense buy packing random cards in turn or you can do the same thing by yourself but taking a single card of the top of the deck after shuffling it and making a story that make sense with every card he said it's to help understanding with it I just find it a good way to unwind
Hello Hearth! I enjoy all of your videos! What deck did you pull the Self Love and Abundance cards from? The deck is gorgeous!
I’m going to have to start doing this! Especially for meditation.
Can I ask what deck the saints cards were from? They’re gorgeous x
They’re from the “Saints and Mystics Reading Cards” Deck xx
Could someone give an example of finding your birth card? I'm still confused.
great video Hearth, can you use a internet image of st. christopher.? im in the broom closet and i have virtual altars
Still remodeling my car port 😞 thanks again
hey can you do a video about cards and sabbath ?
My tarot cards Witcher miniature ones I just thought I had to say that because that's so tiny I'm kinda proud of it a purely used for learning the symbols depicted in them and their representation mostly Outsider Terry ironically which I suppose is a view of it but more people should do so with some of the traditional Dex to better learn for the used for tarot reading as well as banishing circles summoning rituals cleansing spells cleansing rituals and meeting other and I cannot overstate many other traditional practices I mean you could literally and it probably has been done by somebody write a book on every symbol shown in some of the traditional decks especially the ones used for ceremonial magic if you can't tell I've started stuttering tarot cards recently and think highly of them
Do you have more info on the Major arcana and how to find it.
If you only have 1 deck can you make a copy of the card and use that?
Yr cards r beautiful...but is there anyways i can use them as a broom closet witch?
Victoria Mayes hi there. You could do a daily, weekly or monthly card pull & then carry the cards you have picked out with you slipped inside a notebook that has a pocket section, Paperblanks notebooks have a very discreet pocket in many of their notebook styles. If you are the only person who changes your bed linen you could keep your cards tucked away out of sight of others under your pillows or even under your mattress. Im not in the closet but I always sleep with a new deck of cards under my pillow for a few weeks to help me connect with them strongly 😉
@@seekingvision thx...maybe ill try that❤
A comment for the algorithm. 😀
But in my university's forms I can't make an altar
What should I do?
When working out the number from the date of birth and you say make the number under 22. How do you do that?
My birth date comes out to 29 xx
You keep adding the digits together until you get under 22. So, in your case, add 2 + 9, and you get 11.
Maybe this is a stupid question? But if I may ask: Can one be both a psychic and a witch? And can one be a psychic and be any religion?
I don't understand how you can make your birth date fall below 22? To find a birthcard
You add the two numbers together if it’s over 22, so if you end up with 24 you add 2 and 4 to get 6 as your birth card.
What is my birth card? Born 2 10 84
The Chariot and The Tower cards.
How does one calculate the birth card? Hearth briefly mentioned it, but it left me a little confused.
Your content is very interesting but you say 'SO' way to much. It is very off putting.
