Holiday Heathcliff is useful because of the sin resistances. Genuinely saved me on my erlking solos

An additional advantage to Holiday is the fact that it's ZAYIN. Bodysack is fatal to gluttony, whereas Holiday resists it. So in things like Railway or story stages, you can switch between the two EGOs to get the best base resistances for the fight. As it's a ZAYIN, you do not need to use it for the resistances to change, as they are the new base values. Oh, and it has 2 weight I guess, which is better than bodysack.
Edit: another thing that is improved at threadspin 4 is that it inflicts up to 7 random debuffs on hit (not heads hit) instead and also gives 2 random buff potency on kill instead of just 1. It's still not great, but definitely a noticeable upgrade.
You're right, I totally didn't account for the ego resistances of a sinner changing based on their ZAYIN EGO. I guess you can equip it against certain bosses to get better resistances without having to use it.
14:36 With how the recent cantos and intervallos have done their sp, it's relatively safe to assume that we're going to keep getting passives that recover from panic and gain sp afterwards, something such as the heathcliffs, dad quixote, etc. It may not affect most common sp enemies, but those encounters where it can happen it can matter

At 14:34, I'd like to remind chat about the Canto 6 hags that casually reset their SP back to 0 whenever they feel like it. So the attack power down comes in pretty great here, especially with Nelly's absurd clash power.
0 is not 45 though, you should be easily outlashing the enemy to send them right back down to -45

A problem I see people view Christmas Gregor for is, that status he applies. But in reality what should be thought of, is his support with priest Gregor on the bloodfiend team, especially if one were to Uptie 4 it, providing lust fragility on a lust heavy turn as long as he isn't the slowest will provide tons of utility. This plus suddenly one day allows Priest to keep up his Hp juggle and weaken foes, even if slightly so he can keep up with his fellow bloodfiends.
I would even say he's a more general wave fight ego. For teams where.... well if your using a gregor. As recovering the SP that you used is always nice.

that's true, but Bleed is the one team that actually utilizes Garden of Thorns, and that EGO just has a better effect
@@ultranumhere That's also very true but as the old saying went, Opportunity cost. It's a sloth skill that applies fragility on the condition of being staggered. That's by no means good, but when I think unleashing a pseudo support ego, This could help in a fight vs Ricardo compared to garden of thorns which while better; requires more resources, more preparation, and a way lower sanity Gregor. Could Christmas Nightmare Gregor of been better? Yes. But that + it's heal which can be pretty good in a wave fight means while In MD you could splurge more for Garden in a Story fight it's more plausible to make use of it and the plausible damage it can provide.

one thing you forgot to mention about ishmael's ego; the passive applies to all allies, not just her. I don't think it makes spicebush worth running against bosses without sp, but it does make him stronger, and more importantly; it makes tremor teams A LOT stronger. Molar outis, zweiclair, (or molar clair if something is wrong with you,) T-corp don, regret faust, yurodivy hong lu, and yurodivy ryoshu can all make excellent use out of it, making it arguably more impactful for tremor teams than the other two for how much it costs compared to how much it accelerates the team. Cavernous wailing is still probably a higher priority, but if you can charge yurodivy lu faster, it's no longer an immediate necessity.
it's not that I didn't mention it, I just didn't emphasize it enough. It's true that the passive is really good for stacking Tremor, though
After running Ish's EGO a few more times, just a few thoughts:
- It's pretty hard to call Spicebush underpowered in any content; while his clashing power has not aged well, I'd say he still outperforms the Solemn Lament combo in single-target burst in all content except story content and the Railways that don't give buffs to status teams, and also can put out 3-weight S2 on turn 2 with Yurodivy Ryoshu support (and in longer chain battles, this specific EGO makes it so he can 3-weight S2 almost every turn, often twice in a single turn if he's in Slot 1)
- My weirdest gripe is actually how difficult it is to get any decent Sloth resonance in Sinking, because the only ones with Sloth skills are Ishmael herself, Dieci Rodion S3, and Spicebush Yi Sang, and those are also the sinners with Sloth EGOs.
- In Tremor, it finally allows Zwei Ishmael to not break your Sloth A-Res, which is pretty cool.

14:35 So, very very specific and hella niche, but one of Erlking Heathcliff’s passives resets his sanity to zero and gives him 2 Attack Power Up after panicking, so it actually kinda works against Erlking specifically.
Second very niche use for this passive is that it works somewhat against Mermaids, as while they’ll most likely be close to dead if they’re panicking, their negative coins does make them deal more damage in that state.

Holiday Heathcliff is good at solo running, as its resists are more preferable than the Bodysack.
Holiday Heathcliff is amazing on rupture, and has the same use as Lasso Faust, which is being an on demand gluttony skill to force a resonance chain (while also benefiting heavily from said chain), this is because both 7 Faust and 7 Heathcliff only have gluttony on Skill3. And on the passive, starting from canto 7 and onwards, there will be enemies that have unbreakable and unclashable attacks that apply debuffs, while also buffing themselves (like all bloodfiend enemies), this coupled with the fact that 7 Heathcliff has 4 rupture potency applications on Skill1 and 3 applications on Skill3 (while also having a passive that does the same thing) makes almost every Skill1 apply like, 12 Rupture potency (basically a mini Branch of Knowledge). Honestly (and I’m not trying to be rude here) it just sounds like you don’t play rupture all that much, so you don’t realise the excellent utility (as opposed to raw power) that rupture EGOs are supposed to be used for. I hope my perspective will make you see these EGOs in a more positive way.
Edit: Also, Bodysack needs 2Lust and 2Envy, while Holiday needs 3Gluttony and 2Envy resources.
Lust is pretty hard to come by on a rupture team, while Envy and Gluttony are plenty, so using it on a Zayin EGO like Bodysack would be pretty stupid, especially considering that it competes with both Lasso and Fluid Sac (needing 1Lust and 2Lust resources respectively) for Lust resources.
Also, the corrosion can be pretty clutch because it targets the unit with the highest SP, and considering that most Human Bosses can recover from panic instantly and raise their SP to full in a few turns, it can be a way for Heathcliff to safely spam an EGO to clash in a pinch without much consequence (almost like Dimension Shredder Hong Lu targeting the highest HP enemy). It has personally saved me when I fought Ahab for the first time in Railway 😅.
You sound like you're new to Ultranum content. He keeps overrating damage to the demerit of *everything else*. Esp in Rupture, he advises Ring Sang instead of WSang.
I heavily disagree with him myself but I admit his videos are still neat to watch for a different perspective.

@@BNik92ring sang is usually better in rupture but has multiple issues when used in rupture such as horrible sloth gen meaning you'll have to bring 7 outis or someone worse unit to gen dimension shredder.
I think youre over hyping holiday, dont get me wrong i also think its good but you're putting it too high. Its honestly just a good side grade to body sac in terms on what youre needing.
Also holiday's passive will get better once he gets a self tremor ID.
@@BNik92people who use Ring Sang over WSang in rupture have to be trolling, I always see them say that because Ring has more coins, he benefits more from Dimension Shredder, but like…where are you getting 3 Sloth from if not from WSang Skill1? Because without WSang the only other source of Sloth is Ring Sang Skill3…Are they going to use Ring Sang Skill3 three times to get the 3Sloth required for Dimension Shredder?? Never mind that his count application is random (20% chance or something for rupture count application if I remember correctly), so may very well go [-3] [-3] [-4] rupture count on his Skill1, Skill2 and Skill3 respectively.
Couple that with Ring Sang having no Gluttony skills, and having a guard instead of an evade (Evade is just almost always better), he’s just worse than WSang in a rupture team in literally every way.
You can still use him in MD though.
For me, holiday heathcliff is a decen EGO, the 2 AoE comes up surpringly often and rolls well, the debuff aplication is just not the focus of the EGO.
So its just a number stick with slight AoE for low cost.
So at that point the EGO suffers from the opportunity cost of Bodysack, so if that isnt a factor (like having low to none lust generation on the team) then there is a reason to use the EGO.
Im not saying the EGO is somehow underrated and everyone should use it, what im saying is that the EGO is way more usable than people give it credit for.
Also it has a really funny interaction with basically any of the sin fragment EGO gifts, as it triggers way too many of them, not a reason to use the EGO, but funny nonetheless.

Fair enough, but the ratings wouldn't change for the Christmas Nightmares, and Heath would maybe climb up to 4. Also, I did rate Outis at Uptie 4. It's maybe a 7-7.5 at u3

Holiday Healthcliff is something I prefer over Bodysack depending on the team. With Healthcliff new Tremor EGO, there's use case for the Holiday's passive.
I don't remember clearly Ishmael's Blind Obsession passive, but it gives 5 Sinking to teammates. If that land on Healthcliff, the holiday passive would proc more consistent.

i pretty much agreed with the whole video, the only opinion i have is that Christmas Nightmare Ishmael should be a bit higher maybe 8, because it is very usefull in tremor teams depite not being reberb or everlasting, the AOE tremor count application is very good plus bursting tremor up to 3 and 4 times and lastly helps with the tremor count the team gets, besides the other two egos i think is one of the strongest tremor ego

Passive of a holiday heath is fuckin goated. With Seven heath you can inflict 16 potency from S1 cuz this passive works on any proc of status. Peauod Heath also gets a good benefit - S3 with max 6 procs of bleed potency gets another +1 on every proc of bleed, so this is literally 12 bleed potency . We need to get more heath with multiple procs of statuses, cuz with this passive they will became goated

Should probably finish watching before commenting... Anyway, you forgot to mention that the corrosion of Ish's Nightmare actually bursts tremor up to 4 times (or 5 with defensive stance), hits 5 targets, heals 10 hp before attack and refunds up to 25 sanity.
Oh wait a sec, I just realised you mainly show the Threadspin 3 stats of the EGOs. Didn't notice that as I have all EGOs at tier 4 and don't even consider using them at tier 3 or below, I always only look at the tier 4 stats.
cool, I think it's better to rank EGO skills based on their T3 because they're very expensive to upgrade, and the people who need to watch videos such as this one likely don't have that much thread and shards.
Also the corrosion is very expensive, so hitting it after Cavernous Wailing outside of MD is going to take way too long
@ultranumhere hmm, fair, the cost makes it a bit prohibitive. Though I can see it being used in a big sloth nuke turn in Refraction Railway or something.
And yeah, the other thing is really just an issue with my personal perspective as I haven't used a single tier 3 EGO or ID since tier 4 was introduced, makes it hard to keep in mind that tier 3 even exists and newer players don't have all these saved up resources.
I will almost always put coolness factor over actual use, unless i'm doing a md or actually difficult fight

Dear video creator, is it worth it so shard the 2 Christmas nightmare EGOs? For Ishmael it can indeed be useful for Molar Ishmael and potentially Zwei. And Gregor has to compete with Solemn Lament.
if you have spare resources, and you have every other good EGO skill, there's no harm in sharding them
