I actually prefer using Liu Greg over Meursault, mostly because I don't wanna use regret each fight. He has +5 offense level on all skills for some reason, so his clashing & damage are a bit better than they may seem at first glance, especially with conditionals active. Lots of coins too, so he benefits greatly from the burn fusion in MD and has decent damage. Do try him out!

Seems like they've settled on the "doesn't consume count at X Y stacks" gimmick, I wonder if it will create balanced and fun gameplay for the long forgotten team. Though now it seems like Cinq is going to be all over different teams with a general gimmick of speed stacking.

I only started playing this game during the Murder on the Warp Train event. And I've got almost every ID on this team. Except the Walpurgis Night Id's! Drives me crazy that I can't get them for a few months!!!

While burn most definitely has some of the lowest potential damage of all the teams, I have found that it is the most consistent and easy to win with. Burn requires very little thought and upkeep, so it's the perfect MD farming winrate spam team. Additionally, the very easy conditionals and easy-to-build-up nature of burn allow it to do big damage when outside of railway and MD. Finally, burn has access to a very large number of low cost ego skills. When managed correctly, pretty much any ego skill can be used turn 2 or 3. In my opinion, despite having the least potential, burn is overall the most useful team of any.

I prefer only running the 4 'primary' burn IDs, since I don't always feel the others earn their slots. Outis and Sinclair both benefit more from extra slots than the average ID, not counting charge IDs, due to ramp-up and clash winning SP respectively.

I'd like to point out that Philip clair s2 will never clash at 25 power due to it draining 5 sanity on use, making it only roll 21 which is still very good but you lose on the extra attack weight, I always recommend you prioritize clashing with that skill while in ego mode to guarantee you hit 3 targets

I think that on field Nfaust is usable as 6th slot if your priority is sp mangement to keep Philclair online as long as possible since she also has whisper even on field, kill with s3 and also fluid sac. She does clash subpar but still better than liu meursault. And with bench passive Ring sang too so Philciar will be online for a lot longer. Tho if that is worth over fielding Ring Sang himself for actual raw damage or extra burns from liu meur that cant clash i can't really decide.
N faust work better as support. Funny enough Burn apply Res to both Lust and Wrath, but for some reason the Lust one is easier to trigger. So having NFaust passivehelp ramp up and reestore after Ego use. Funny enough, you can Also Use Remnant faust as support because it need 2 lust res for defense power up, and that helps Meurasault use Block and his own passive This show the earlier combos PM had in mind
I personally prefer standard Burn team with addition of N Faust. She has two Lust skills if UT4, has useful effects as Gaze and next turn paralyze. Also, Fluid Sack. Also nice Shlatt reference.
I kinda like using maid ryoshu instead of liu ryoshu, better clashing, better damage, list resonance on command with her evade, has an evade, and because she’s a poise, 4th match flame can crit, also her conditionals are speed based or tied to her personal status effect so she’s fairly independent. Did I mention 4th match flame can crit?
I do appreciate the level of effort put into this video but I can't help but feel like I just watched 30 minutes of someone explaining the kits of a few IDs and EGOs with very little input other than "this is good" or "this is bad". There was useful information such as the fact it is better in human fights, and that using certain EGOs to activate burn conditionals is a good idea, but other than that it really just feels like an explanation of an archetype that almost doesn't even need to be explained. It has 5 IDs that are practically always in the team no matter what, so the only interesting thing to talk about is the 6th. Perhaps it's not your fault but rather burn's fault for being boring, but I felt it was worth mentioning nonetheless, as I really don't think it warranted a 30 minute video.
I don't know for anyone else, but for me I get dawnclair on shi heath's passive everything even though both dawnclair and shootis have the same max hp. Other than that, I really like middle mer's passive for extra sp healing espcially if im using blossom star for ish or the free-est setup/clash ego forest for ryshou.
Ahh burn teams... I dont have many liu id's so i settled with a blurnt team. Burn + Bleed. PhillipClair, Magic bullet outis, Liu gregor, and then Ring sang, kromer faust + red eyes ryoshu. Performs well enough for md normal!, havent tried in hard cause not levelled fully some of them.
Call it bias, but I still personally prefer burn in ruina over limbus, yeah the ruina version was definitely busted, but it was my go to, so it feels off when I try usieng burn in limbus as I’m used to crazy stacking
I see that you mentioned middle meursault for his support passive. but have you ever considered to slot him in place of liu meursault. -for starters it clashes slightly better the liu with liu having 11/11/14 and middle having 11/14/13 -middle has his S1 a sloth skill so it has better generation and S3 is also wrath for the resonance -his S2 can have a little buff if chained with danwclair S2 and lui ishmael S3 capote will make up for all the potency you miss, being able to use it as soon as the 3rd round and again because his S1 is sloth he can more then enough fuel other egos such as outis waw ego and to pathos mathos
A team I started recently using was Bleed Poise, with Pequod Trio, BL Faust, and Pirate Gregor. 6th slot can go to RhinoSault or KK Rodion if you want all bloise. Maxing out in mirror dungeon with that team might be peak; Bloody Mist, Lucky Pouch, Clear Water, Nebulizer++. Everyone gets double damage, infinite poise, +2 Coin Power, +15 Power on s3. S1’s will clash at 15+ and s3’s will deal thousands of damage. It’s extremely strict team building but it’s nuts.
I wonder if we will get a new burn unit soon. Quite sad that one still has to use at least one 00 unit to go full burn, while tremor and sinking already have full 000 teams.
Another day hoping that Project moon will actually get us the id that works well for bosses.(i do have all id's in relation to burn the stats except for the The ring id's because my luck is that unfortunate.) No middle mersault synergy mention. Better clash, fixes sloth and envy gen and benefits from wrath frag/dmg up and blunt dmg up from capote/ burn team buffs(which fixes him not having burn potency if you were worried about it) ego literally buff middle more than liu lol.
Probably magic bullet, Dark Flame is a goated status effect. Also she got a new Burn EGO skill that can help her stack bullets, so she's really strong now
And im using a psycho variation of this team. I take Nmeur. My boi tanks, he feeds wrath resonance with his reposte. Honestly its the only time i got to use his passive properly, he would eat up some nasty status effects and cleanse them like nothing happened. And then he bull ego to pretend hes part of burn team. Its sad how his Ncorp family cant support his tank potencial. Apply his base ego passive, 3 protec. his counter, 1 protec. his id passive, 3 protec. 7 protec total. apply Zwei Sinclair or some gifs we can go futher. Once we get some wrath resonance support IDs he just might shine brighter yet(yes im psycho enough to believe that, i am hardcore SunCliff enjoyer since his release)

If you want to play poise, sure. But I recommend getting only 4 bl members (mersautl, faust, yi sang and don) + 2 other good poise ids like cap ish, cinq clair, maid shu (if you already have her), … or at least just get mersaul (claiming bone is just that good)
Like Ultranum here, you can be a meta -BITCH- Or be a Burn *Master* BENCH the Femboy, add Dad Gregor as 1# He is not only Fast, but also has +5 offense. Making him clash HIGHER than expected The key is RESONANCE. With this set up ANY 3 wrath res will give gregor +1 Burn count per COIN and he has LOTS OF COINS. This makes the team work both In and OUT of MD. SPECIALLY in normal fights as Gregor 1# and Outis 2# you have a Wrath Res GARANTIED boosting both their skill 1 to skill 2 Was pretty good for Ralway.
ADITIONALLY Doing this makes so you dont NEED to take Burn ego at dungeon start Take BLUNT ego, this way boost ALL (Except ryoshu) Liu members. You can get Burn from shop or random later, like there is more thane nough Burn Ego of low level everywhere

MY BOY GOT DONE DIRTY Ok so I know, I get it he doesn’t clash high but that’s it, that and being frail is his only downside cause god damm I’ve seen that guy out put more damage then Liu Ish he hits HARD and has a ton of burn potency to back it up, his burn output is only beaten by John burn himself and can easily be slotted over Liu ryoshu, the low clashing isn’t that big of an issue as your in a team that’s full of some of the highest clashers in the game so it’s really not that bad
@demonthegamer3624 a different team, tbh. Sinc and Outis are the IDs you want to build your whole team around, so if you don't have them, the team won't work well at all. If you have no other options, I guess put Liu Meursault in, or RingSang if you're not using him. The last slot can either go to Liu Hong Lu or just any strong ID with a strong Wrath skill for resonance chains.
as a player who joined at the best time for a burn team i dont like it, i joined right when season 4 started and when i saw the philipclair leak i was dead set on a burn team, i got it all, every liu, every walpurgis and it still deals so little damage
Really? Are your IDs at Uptie 4, and are you properly stacking up your burn count? Well, I personally don't have much experience with burn outside of MD, but I think the damage potential is still pretty high outside of it. Especially due to dark flame.
Not a fan of bullet outis, her s2 dark flame application is so ass, bullet stops at 4 and then doesn't even afflict dark flame so you either have to use s1 to keep up on dark flame application, s3 to actually apply your bullets, or block for 2 turns and do nothing to actually reach her 7 bullet conditional.
her s2 literally gets worse the longer the fight goes, like why? I know that if there wasn't a limit it would be broken but to make it just worse feels like a screw you for using it, it feels so frustrating when you get to that part. Like I want to like the Id and her dark flame but the fact her good way to apply a good amount just stops the fun of applying dark flame.
Ngl, she got much stronger in my eyes when I finally learned to read and realized her skill 1 rolls a 17 with conditionals That roll is frankly absurd, and I see how she’s using a Waw ego weapon now

It just that her roll is really bad. Whatever it is, a 12 roll on a s3 of a 000 id is really unacceptable.

As long as you have them around level 40 and don't pick + power gifts you should be fine

Probably because count and potency wasn't separate and enemies had like 800 health at most meaning a stack cap made sense

You can get Burn from shop or random later, like there is more thane nough Burn Ego of low level everywhere

Ok so I know, I get it he doesn’t clash high but that’s it, that and being frail is his only downside cause god damm I’ve seen that guy out put more damage then Liu Ish he hits HARD and has a ton of burn potency to back it up, his burn output is only beaten by John burn himself and can easily be slotted over Liu ryoshu, the low clashing isn’t that big of an issue as your in a team that’s full of some of the highest clashers in the game so it’s really not that bad

If i don't have the Walpurgisnacht IDs what should i use for Sinclair and Outis?
@demonthegamer3624 a different team, tbh. Sinc and Outis are the IDs you want to build your whole team around, so if you don't have them, the team won't work well at all. If you have no other options, I guess put Liu Meursault in, or RingSang if you're not using him. The last slot can either go to Liu Hong Lu or just any strong ID with a strong Wrath skill for resonance chains.

as a player who joined at the best time for a burn team i dont like it, i joined right when season 4 started and when i saw the philipclair leak i was dead set on a burn team, i got it all, every liu, every walpurgis and it still deals so little damage

Well, I personally don't have much experience with burn outside of MD, but I think the damage potential is still pretty high outside of it. Especially due to dark flame.

Not a fan of bullet outis, her s2 dark flame application is so ass, bullet stops at 4 and then doesn't even afflict dark flame so you either have to use s1 to keep up on dark flame application, s3 to actually apply your bullets, or block for 2 turns and do nothing to actually reach her 7 bullet conditional.

her s2 literally gets worse the longer the fight goes, like why? I know that if there wasn't a limit it would be broken but to make it just worse feels like a screw you for using it, it feels so frustrating when you get to that part. Like I want to like the Id and her dark flame but the fact her good way to apply a good amount just stops the fun of applying dark flame.
Ngl, she got much stronger in my eyes when I finally learned to read and realized her skill 1 rolls a 17 with conditionals
