Frame, motor, Sabvoton controller and wheels from Alibaba. Everything else was purchased through various online stores and built in my garage.
Full Spec List:
1. QS273 V3 motor, 5T wind
2. Sabvoton 72200 200amp controller at 150 amp - locked version
3. 49ah Panasonic battery with 150 amp max bms. (weighs 37lbs.), plus an additional 10ah battery in the controller box running in parallel.
4. 80/100-21 front tire & 90/100-18 18x1.85 rim in rear with Dunlop K990 tire.
5. Protaper Aluminum Handlebar, 3" Rise, 31.8mm Bar Clamp, 810mm Width. I cut 1.5” off either side.
6. Odi Rogue lock on grips. These things are AWESOME!
7. Shimano Zee 4 piston brakes on both front and back. Front rotor is a SRAM Centerline 220mm with a Hope adapter. Wired for e-brake. These brakes are a definite improvement over Tektros.
8. Two 210mm DNM RCP 2S 550lbs shocks.
9. Fox 40 Elite forks with 50lb spring.
10. Shimano MX 16 Tooth Single Speed Freewheel.
11. Fender is off a Razor MX650 and cut down to size. Had to get creative in mounting this as there is no mounting holes on the DNM fork. A bit of a ghetto mount but it works.
12. SCOSCHE MAGTFM2 MagicMount XL Universal Flush Mount Holder for Mobile Devices.
13. CAB Motorworks Saddleman seat made in USA. LOVE this seat. SO much better than the Chinese version.
14. Nkomax automatic Smart Bike Tail Light Ultra Bright
15. OneUp Components Composite Pedals. Your feet stick to these like glue.
16. Izumi Chain JET BLACK Easy Running 1/8" BMX
17. FFSA Gravity Light Direct Mount Stem 31.8mm 5D 45mm, with a Direct Mount Stem Stack Billet Spacer 12mm from SOUL
18. RaceFace Narrow Wide 1x Chain Retaining Chainring 5-Bolt 110mm BCD 40t Black with Promax SQ-1 155mm crank arms.
19. 180lbs.
20. Grin Cycle Satiator 72 volt e-bike SMART battery charger.
The exact characteristics that you’re talking about or why I want to build a bike based on the same unit you’re using except I intend to use a 5000 W motor, with a 200 amp controller and possibly do a 96v battery and use street tires. Just to use running back-and-forth to Sam’s Club and Walmart. Can still really rock out. But can be used to pull a cargo trailer 25 miles in an hour, and the last half of the distance with up to 150# in cargo. (Groceries and bottled water)
I recessed the top of my rear shock(full sized dirt bike shock) . Cut the back plate off and lean it in there’s about 100 more steps but 😊
Great vid! Yeah, always something to do to these ebikes, I’m always upgrading and modding my #Hellbird🔥🦅
Yeah you got a lot of mods on yours, lol
HURA. You're back :))))
therefore the new revision of My Frame .. is made of one element of a bent flat bar and reinforced by me.
Josh I think you are very cool, I just started to watch your videos. You do things to the bike that educates as all, and you have a great ego!. Now when I get my bike I know how to beef it up .
Thank You
Thanks man I appreciate you watching the channel!
for the seat can you give a link because I kind of have trouble finding it and also do you make any crazy adjustments or did it just go right on?
We’re did you get the rear fender from been looking for nxt type
Lol I saw you on the group bro. These frames are built cheap but I'm not going to lie tho I watch your videos you are pretty rough bro LOL you be ripping it.
What fender is that ? The back one and front one?
It looked like the battery box segment is the weak spot, still unacceptable/deadly
Your shock tabs will bend your top plate on your swingarm you just repaired. I built the same frame and I added internal gusseting in that same spot.
Not the way we welded it. It's not going anywhere.
Which Brand & type of Frame is it? KEYU?
Oh shit! HAIR REVEAL 🤣
yup. don't always wear hats, haha
It's like the cop cut 🤭
400 miles on mostly street wore out my back tire already. Swapped it for a Kenda 80/100-21 looks nicer but such a pain to mount on a hub motor. trying to be gentle to both the cable and the MTB disc.
that's the truth
You don't remove the rotor?
@@leDenoyauteur I mean you could remove it, but look at the design, at best you could just push it up the wiring harness and hope it doesn't slide back down while your working. or take the whole harness off as well. Hub Motors have serious design drawbacks.
@@leDenoyauteur for what purpose?
I think it’s the weight of the QS 273 with the unsprung weight. Obviously the welding was not up to par as well. Like you said, on the street this probably would’ve never been an issue. That’s why I always recommend the QS205 for off-road use. I think the QS 273 should be strictly for street use because of the massive unsprung weight. Glad to see you got it welded back up! Sure your son loves riding that ebike!
Thanks for watching man!
Letssssss goooooooo fix the black bomber miss this bike videos
@@Ebackfive my daughter crashed it bad in the road a couple months ago and now the throttle is all jacked up. Have to install a new one
@@JoshStreetDesign that’s crazy shouldn’t be that hard to replace the throttle have you tried to jump it I’ve learned you are able to jump these bikes you just need a landing and front and rear shocks just needs adjustments nothin happens to the motor
@@Ebackfive yeah I have a replacement, just need to install it... And to be honest I'm not even sure that's the problem. But jumping this bike is not a good idea
EBay has those frames I think they much stronger I purchased one last year so far no problems i had heavy riders on it 260 LB and on my Swingarm has Double plated
It's the same one
Yes im about to post picture on Facebook check under your video
What about the bomber frames where the swingarm doesnt have the bottom bracket attached to it, itattaches to the body, I went with this frame for my bomber clone
Hey man where did you get the frame? Wondering if it’s worth getting a cheaper frame for $300ish compared to the $550 that NBPower wants.
Don't get this frame. It's crap
Good that you stil alive :D
yeah that was the original frame I was going to get but it was too costly at the time years ago. The other thing is that I really don't like the seat design on the Vector.
@@JoshStreetDesignseat Design ? i have the Bicycle seat. i search also for a Motorbike seat =/
@@aliasgoliath2772 oh my bad I was thinking of a vector vortex frame.
@@JoshStreetDesign no typhoon🤣
this es the best one trust me 😉
@@JoshStreetDesign the Vortex is to much....😂🤮
no Eleganz any more but the typhoon is sick as f#ck😂
Nearly got a SurRon but I think doing this weld and going with 3.5 t motor is the way for the price can I still do some of roading with this motor ?
Of course you can but keep in mind it doesn't go past 43 mph. 3.5t will hit about 55.
Hi Josh! I need help boss please help me ..
Stealth Bomber style bike..
after brakes upgrade throttle won't work...
did you get them working? Sorry I missed this comment
Im Starting to notice the part of my swingarm that connects to the bottom of the shock is denting inward almost dont even want to ride it like that
Brace it immediately
how you guys broke swing arm ? just jump or what
Could the double shocks have contributed to the damaged swing arm? You mentioned the shock mounts became depressed and you had to hammer it back in place. I'm thinking if the 2 shocks you were using (with 500lbs springs) were putting extra undue stress on that area of the swing arm causing it to crack open on the opposite side like it did. And from your comment, it sounds like the 1 shock with 800lbs spring seems to do well enough.
I don't think it would have mattered one shock or two that result would have been the same. It was just a poor welding job... Not to mention the shock mount is just sitting on a thing sheet of metal there's nothing underneath of it supporting it
@@JoshStreetDesign what size bolt and spacer do you have on the dual shocks?
@@lambertricalde1218 I got ride of the dual shocks. Stick with one, it's better
@@JoshStreetDesign Why did you do a dual shock on the rear?
@@ScooterScoots because the single shock was too soft and the bike was bottoming out but I have since going back to a single shock with a stiffer spring.
Where did you get the Cab style seat?
CAB Motorworks
You got your money worth given the time you've spent riding it . After all the work you've done on it , it's like your own custom frame already lmao
So true bro, lol. Thanks for watching
Where did you get that style of seat?
Cab motorworks
Hey Josh, I wanted to ask you a Couple questions. I would like to make my KTM350XCF into electric. I'm 5' 11 and 240 pounds and I do 95% off road. Do you think the QS205 or qs273 would handle the action? And what do you think the difference Would be converting A KTM gas powered motorcycle to electric as opposed to having a lighter weight mountain bike frame. I think I would be more comfortable on a motorcycle Because of my size and because I think it will handle better and I'm used to it. But what do you think? I like the idea of a hub motor as opposed to a mid Drive mode because it's quieter. But some people say it Wouldn't work for my set up.
Hey there's ready to go kits with a qs138 mid-drive for mx bikes! That's the way to go if pedaling is not important to you.
@@paulmryglod4802 can you send me a link? Or tell me where?
@Brian B oh boy I forgot the link. There's some videos on here of the conversions and the link will be in them somewhere
Hey Josh, I see you have the 200a controller but only 150a BMS to feed it. Is there a reason for this? Do you have the controller limited to 150a? I was told it is dangerous to have a controller trying to pull more power than the battery can supply. Also, where did you get your battery? I need a big 49ah one like that. Thanks in advance
I suspect that they sent me a 7150 in disguise as a 200 because all the options in the menus are not there that were there when I tried an actual 200. And if you're VMS limits what the battery can put out then that doesn't matter what the controller is trying to do. Regarding the battery I got it from Blue Dot on Alibaba but I don't know if they're still selling them anymore. This was years ago but I will admit it's a pretty decent battery for what it is even though it's limited to 150. In conjunction with the other 11 amp hour battery I had built running in parallel This thing will give you a lot of range. When my son rides it off-road he does about 20 mi and then still has 80% battery left.
@@JoshStreetDesign Thanks so much for the reply! Hopefully the 150a sabvoton I just ordered on aliexpress isn't a fake. I wish someone in the US would stock parts for these. I can't get my BAC2000 to work with this motor I just get error 30h thats why I'm getting the Sab because theres actually documentation on the compatability.
@@jackstange9211 I know the BAC should work on it as are people using it with that same motor but I don't know what the programming is. You might just need someone who knows how to set it up properly.
@@JoshStreetDesign I couldn't find anything online about using the BAC with the QS 205. Any idea where I should look for info/help?
I think getting a new swingarm is better choice 🤔
well, a new one wouldn't be as strong as this one all beefed up now. It would be straighter though, haha
The limitation of that frame is the shock eye to eye length. Basically you need a strong enough spring to really match the riding. I had roughly the same issue and decided to weld mounts to mine to allow an Mx shock that provided a higher travel stroke. Also the rim that comes with the qs273 is terribly flimsy. Did a rock jump and folded it! You can check out my mods here: ua-cam.com/video/C1zwEB5s9V4/v-deo.htmlsi=iGNB8_DQBKHKl3tI
Hey bro, where did you buy the hairpin?
Hairpin? I'm not sure what you're referring to
@@JoshStreetDesign front shock absorber
@@eduardoperaitasanchez3151 do you mean the Fox 40 forks?
Where you get that seat
See the video description
what rim + tyre setup do you use? Id like to know the rim width
It's a 1.85 x 18" rim with a 90/100-18 tire
@@JoshStreetDesign Thanks! Keep up with the great content!
I wonder if it will fit on the EEB frame, currently got a dream setup going but I just feel that the 1.6 with a 90/90 dual sport width on the rear is not enough
high even be 80/90 tbh
Hello, why do they constantly use 18650 or 21700 batteries in America? 🤔
Here in Russia, prismatic NMC 3.7v 50ah 60ah 70ah... batteries are used for a powerful electric bike...
I know plenty of guys that use nmc cells, but typically they are much harder to obtain here. Lithium ion cells are much more readily available.
With Aliexpress, you can also order like me.
@@electricbike2062 I wouldn't trust my life with batteries from Ali Express, lol
Their NMC are good cells with low resistance, I looked at the tests, these are high-precision cells, and the battery life is up to 10 years
i have no problems with my Sleath bomber fame its hold strong
That's because you don't ride it like I do off-road, lol
@@JoshStreetDesign well I do but not all the time
@@powchainsamaniego6744 keep in mind I've put like 2,000 miles on this thing with at least half of that being hard and fast off-road riding. I mean if you've watched my videos you see the type of riding I do I don't take it easy on the thing, lol
@@JoshStreetDesign I do 2,000 miles too so don't rag about it
This isn't a Stealth bike!
Well am 255 lb and my rear shock sunk in to the frame lol 😂😆 cheap as dirt in US
Sounds about right
Sunk into the frame or swingarm dude?
@@Wheelieking619 well arms are part of frame and frame is a part of arms does it matter I clearly showed anyone could Drow their own conclusion I hope . The moral to the story is frame has weak spots .
The seat is worth 6 x more than the frame lol
Bent rims are more of a problem for fast street riding. Dirt's already bumpy enough.
I don't feel the bent rim at all even on the street
@@JoshStreetDesign yeah, I don't think those knobby tires flex enough, maybe some slicks might feel it, but who knows. (These bikes wobble enough at 60 even without bends) :)
@@tacticooldennis actually this one doesn't shake or wobble at all at higher speeds. It's smooth as silk.
No offence but why do you drag a good Company name through the mud when you don't own a Sealth, you can't compare a Stealth frame to a Chinese metal fridge you bought of Alibaba. I guess if tital says Swingarm broke on my Chinese bike wont get as many clicks right?
I hear what you're saying, it's only because that's what people have been calling this specific frame for years now so it's easily identifiable. You rarely EVER see a genuine Stealth Bomber bike out in the wild. Probably because of how extremely high priced they were. Thanks for watching though.
@@JoshStreetDesign I have one for years go on major forum endless sphere thousands pages one thread on stealth . I'm just saying if I owned the company I'd be pissed people get sued for defamation for less these days.
This is not a Stealth Bomber. This is a Cheap Chinese knock off. Please change the title of this video.
Obviously. But just the frame is actually a cheap part. Everything else on this bike is high end, with more expensive forks and brakes and motor than the actual Stealth bomber has. This bike is more powerful than the Stealth in every way. : ) Title was changed btw.
@@JoshStreetDesign this was brought of Alibaba ? Under the Chinese co shung
@@Packmeacone just the frame, controller and motor.
Hey josh, think their using a picture of your bike over at alibaba, anyway I can send you the picture?

@@JoshStreetDesign i know can you imagine getting the standard version after ordering one that looked like yours haha...a nice compliment from them tho if their using it lad...
