*_That's very true about Adam Sandler:_* He cast everyone in his movies over and over and over making sure he feeds his people and they ride *_TOGETHER._*
Right! Hes always done that since day one. Eddie Murphy does the same thing too.
And Tyler Perry
Sandler said fuck Hollywood, lets get this bread and go on vacation in every film we do. And people bash em for it. Why have love for Hollywood when Hollywood has no love for you? I'd taking the online bashing for my poor quality films all day too.

...he really knocked that outta the park!
Profound!!!
Brilliant
I’m starting to like this better than vladtv 👍
Hell yeah 👍
Damo Trent yes he is indeed!

Mrpayperview_ View Black people watching Vlad is like watching the feds conduct a calm interrogation. Stop supporting culture vultures who make money off of us.
Vlad works for the feds
Time for Black actors to do something by themselves, for themselves.
U want something done u got 2 do it yourself. I agree.🎬📺
You sound like malcolm x
The problem is that most Black actors don't want to be identified by their blackness, rather their art. The illusion of inclusion.
I am so sick of stupid m’f’ckrs jumping revolutionary in the blind. Have you ever heard of Shonda Rhimes, Ava duVernay, Tyler Perry, Will Packer, Spike Lee, Oprah, Steve McQueen, Ryan Googler, Jordan Peele?? WTF do you think they’ve been doing all these years? These black people create and own their content-Jordan Peele owns Get Out n Us...do you get that? There is a huge demand for black content being filled by new directors and production companies owned by Regina King, Michael B Jordan, Issa Rae and many others. Put your spear down and read.
I’m tired of ignorant people listening to Monique’s dumbass still complaining about ‘Precious’, which by the way was based on a novel written by a black woman, adapted to screenplay by a black man, directed by a black man, funded$$/exec produced by black people-Oprah n TylerP, starred a number of black actors, telling a story of black life-BLACK OWNED!! And all that bitch Monique has done is complain she was mistreated, taken advantage of...10 yrs ago! Please STFU and get educated!
@Wavybone Andretti Absolutely agree.
Underrated actor. Glad to see him doing well and in good health
T. Sims Underrated actor and not a bad singer either.
Me too!!!!!!!
Right 🔥💯
how do you know he's in good health?
Same here!!👌🏾
No lie one day I called into a radio show and Darius told me about a company that was hiring extras to come to the set and get a check. Real talk.
What was it now tell people
"There's so much more for us to eat, when we all can bring something to the table."....damn. I had to hit the pause button on that one!!!

Most Blks thts gettin da opportunities are SCARED tht if they bring someone ELSE in it may take from THEM cause in most cases its ONLY 1 or a couple of Blks tht THERE looking 4 an he has a Family 2 feed also an just dnt wanna take tht CHANCE🤷🏿😔🙏🏽

He is absolutely right. There is no black Hollywood

@Abraham issac Jacob Yisrael that is disrespectful and wrong on so many levels. Black ppl are not satanic
Because actors themselves dont care about themselves or us.
We need a Robert Townsend interview. Never forget he had the first black superhero movie out... Meteor Man!
Yes! I second this wholeheartedly!
1977 Abar, the first black Superman. A year before Suprerman. Then came Meteor Man, Blank Man, Blade, Hancock and then years later Black Panther. Don't forget Shaq did Steel in the 90's too.

THIS IS WHY BILL COSBY NEEDS TO BE PRAISED FOR HIS BELIEF IN THE POSITIVE IMAGE OF BLACK PEOPLE
******THATS WHY THE COSBY SHOW WAS CREATED AND SSSSSSSOOOOOO SUCCESSFUL
NEVER FORGET
GO BACK TO THIS AND FAMILY MATTERS
All of the Cosby Kids and some of the other actors said they were truly spoiled by the atmosphere of The Cosby Show with all the black writers, producers, cameramen, everything. Once they moved on to other projects they rarely saw a black face anywhere let alone the writing team.
Moon Knight - well we’ve had (and still do today) positive black family imagery after those shows. It’s just they haven’t been able to be as good or funny as “The Cosby Show”. Plus we live in a different times where those type of shows won’t be as appreciated and viewed cuz times changed.
@@checkmateforever AAAAHHHH BUT WHY IS THAT
AND WHY HAS TIME CHANGED IN REGARDS TO THIS. SIMPLE
TOO MANY BLACK MALES TODAY SHITTING ON OTHER BLACK MALES FOR SUCCEEDING AND TRYING TO BRING THE MASSES BACK TOGETHER
IF THE VILLAGE CANT COME TOGETHER THEN THERES NO COMMUNITY WITHOUT A COMMUNITY THERES NO SENSE OF SELF
REMEMBER THAT
Cosby show was fake, a positive uppper-class family I do believe was a positive image of a black family; however, they didn't have any real problems; Family matters was much more real. They were arguements, struggles, and sometimes dealing with drugs
Absolutely
One of the coldest pieces of game I'd ever received came from an affluent client of mine almost a decade ago. He said, "The worst thing about success for black people is that it creates separation rather than unity." He ain't never lied. RIP to Freddie B.
People tend to put him in a box for Family Matters and SuperHead. But he is giving some good points in regards to Black Hollywood.
Think Tank super head?

Black Hollywood was a 90s phenomena. Black Atlanta is what we have now

He did drop some knowledge in this interview
Great knowledge ,this was a great interview
Definitely...
@Black Cherry That's a weirdo-ass response. I don't know this man personally, however, our children attend the same school and from the outside looking in, he is an awesome daddy! FOHWTBS-ass response.
There's another aspect of loyalty I wish he had touched on.
I've had so many ppl screw me over for caring about Community first.
I have said for YEARS there's a Spirit of DIVISION that is on Black ppl.
It mostly manifests as different forms of offense to keep us apart (beefs, rivalries, dysfunction, etc), but I've also experienced it through BETRAYL... trying to put others on only to have them treat it like nothing.
"A hungry dog will eat from ANY man's hand" as they say. So how can you tell who will be loyal after you've helped them up?
I've had brothas and sistas both turn on me. So if putting food on someone's table isn't worth loyalty, then how can we build from there?
*GOT DAYUM* YOU SAID THAT!!!!!

So true and so sad
In the words of Dick Gregory, "there are no Black communities... just Black neighborhoods".
This talented intelligent brotha is aging like a fine wine 🍷 he is looking better and better as time goes on. On another note Africans make their own movies and have a huge market for them. We should do the same and stop begging these people to put us on and support our own.
with everything!
Queenofweaves I agree with you on the African movie saga
The crazy thing is we’ve done it over and over but the keep knocking us down!! I.e 70’s black ploitation films, 90’s films, and black romcoms...we’ve done it Sis and we can do it again but THIS time..we gotta know how to keep it!!🖤🖤
Nakia Smith we have done it, even done it well. Yet, we are always looking for white acceptance
“It’s not show friends, it’s show business.”
Except when white actors talk about roles they always talk about how the friend aspect got them certain roles. So......
He killed that role as Ali in the Don King movie I always thought he was slept on as a actor
"Why you hittin like a girl Larry"
SuperGmoney84 I believe his off screen antics are what led to his demise in Hollywood!!
He’s looking really good.. I truly hope he’s gotten himself together..
What off screen antics?
Elijah Hayes Ooh Chile!!
Drug use, he dated SupaHead!!
I cannot remember everything!
He’s looking healthy and sounding very grounded..
He’s had a lot of domestic situations.
SuperGmoney84 no will smith was better as Ali though.
How about Black Hollywood never existed in the first place...think about it. Otherwise if it did we would have many studios, many movies of different genres all releasing different times of the year. We would have our own networks, production and studio houses. And no one would have to sell their soul/integrity to be the gate keeper. True or false?

Better than that culture vulture Vlad!
Alright Dame 😂. Seriously, it’s true though.
I don't even understand how Vlad gets so many black entertainers to be interviewed. They tell him everything. I always say to myself why arent these people giving up the juice to black interviewers.

You know entertainers especially rappers are the biggest sellout niggas anyway. No one sees it this way but, I do. They love Massa and they don’t mind representing our imaging in a negative light to entertain him for cash.
A vulture eats from which is dead,so in others black culture is dead...I'm just sayin...Respect
I have to agree
Somebody need to put some respect on Rusty Cundieff’s name. That man made multiple classics!
That's right. And he doesn't get the credit he deserves for the integral part he played in the success of Chappelle's Show.
Oooohhhhhh yeeeesssss he did
I'm glad 2 see this brotha still alive wit his mind in tact
Ain’t been the same since the 90s young black actors/actresses left

Patrice O'Neal (RIP) has 2 of the most honest and introspective conversations on this subject. And they contain some the best comparisons and analogies about how Hollywood is "the beast." I always recommend listening to them whenever the subject comes up. On UA-cam:
First one: "Patrice O'Neal vs Ludacris." Luda was promoting Max Payne at the time in an interview that Patrice sat in on as a guest of the hosts. But the best part is the discussion after the interview.
Second one: "Patrice O'Neal Tells The Truth About Hollywood." This one was around the time that Tracy Morgan got "in trouble" for a joke deemed "homophobic" about his Son and homosexuality, and how Hollywood was starting to turn on him. Which also reminds us of Kevin Hart's issues he had recently. I highly recommend them both. Each are about an hour or so long but u won't be disappointed. Some of the best listening u will do on the subject...thank me later.
I love Comedy Hype...Darius I named my son after you, he just turned 26 last week...you are a great actor and continue on your walk in this so called Hollywood...thanks for telling us about the Marvin Van Peeples, EWF connection...

Why is it that every black man that achieves some success in Hollywood has to get on screen in a dress, has Tom Cruise ever put a dress on?
John Leguizamo, Patrick Swayze, Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, Gene Hackman, Jack Lemmon, Milton Berle, Adam Sandler. ALL these actors have put on a dress. The roles r a personal choice that u can pass on. A role is a role. All they have 2 do is pass on a role. Black, White, Asian, Hispanic or plaid. The most important thing is us not looking out 4 each other when we catch a break.
PT _ Tom Cruise doesn’t need “Buck Beeaking” he’s white and already broken. They some nasty mf’s from birth🤮
@@VySharieff Oooooo. Stop telling the truth.
@@claricedukes2014 also Tom Hanks. He started out on a sitcom where two men dressed in drag to live in the apartment complex. I can't remember the name of it right now.
Tbh in the very early days of theatre prior to film women were not even allowed to partake in the art. All parts were played by men. Women were included much later.
Excellent interview. Wish it was longer. What he said reminds me of what Chuck D said in one of his songs - “we went from WE to ME.”
Wow so much respect for this brother not only is he talented but so honest , and unselfish. Makes me feel good to hear him speak about how he feels and know that it's from his heart no sugar coating like him or not , and because I'm not only listening to him but watching him as he speaks I can tell he's being truthful.
Penny Marshall in her book referred to this as "giving someone a life"
I love Eddie, he’s a great actor an singer
I love this channel! This are the people I grew up watching and people forget about them and call them "has beens" much respect to comedy hype
And another director and producer from “Black Hollywood” was Gordon Parks, he made the original “SHAFT” movie, and before that “The Learning Tree”...!
Gordon Parks was, I think on record, a CIA plant in Hollywood, with Superfly being completely agenda based. This Channel "Dayz of Noah" went into detail with that. So few 100% black artist productions. Maybe Sweetback, Dolemite, Hollywood Shuffle. Not many.
I met by my job one time he was at a pizza shop real cool down to earth. I kinda regret not asking him for a photo and normally I just rather talk to actors because that what I want to do.
I'm glad to see Darius McCrary talked about his story in Hollywood!😉This is why Bill Cosby is VERY talented! We can rise...we can fall, but don't let nobody destroyed your career!😉✌😉
Again, thank you! Inquiring about McCrary's sigh, sparked more in depth responses. Excellence.
Great interview!!!
Maybe we as a people need to pull out of Hollywood and start our own organization. There's more than enough talent in our culture. Hit them in the pockets and free your soul. They need us.. They always have. But They also need a reality check. We need to take back our power. I know this is just wishful thinking. Hopefully one day the spell will be broken.
