    I am sorry to hear that you went through all of that. Some people just can't accept that sexuality is not a choice. They would rather people pretend and hide to make their religious belief seem valid or they want you to not own it because they can't own their own sexuality. I hope you've learned to love yourself unconditionally. The saddest thing is that even though they couldn't accept you unconditionally, you are accepting of them unconditionally because you sacrificed staying in your unbearable pain because you thought of the pain that it would cause them by committing suicide. That was an unselfish act for people who acted so selfishly towards you! It's so ironic. May the real God continue to protect and guide you!

    It was extremely pleasing to see a young fully informed man' expressing the realitys of life.
    I must say that being gay is not as bad as what we think.
    Just having the ability to love and care for another of the same sex, is certainly the way forward. Wether your straight or gay, life is life and you only have One chance in life to live it to the fullest.
    Peace and Love is the way forward for us all.
    Fabulous young man!
    Well done.💋 👊

    Many parents fail their gay kids because they are thinking only of THEMSELVES. Life isn't fair. You've been through a lot but you come across as a smart guy who knows what's going on and you know you are entirely normal. I hope you have a really good life.

    @Blactor EXACTLY!!
    I'm a straight black male, and I see what you're talking about!! The black Christian community would rather have you "fake the funk," meaning go ahead, get married to a woman, and repress your gay feelings and desires. Then they wanna get mad at YOU if you cheat on her with every guy in sight....
    But yeah, be who you are and live in your own skin...

    Quincy, by age I could be your father. The good news is that every parent on this Earth should be very proud of a son like you. The sad news is that probably most of them don't even understand why they should. Stay awesome as you are.

    Omg my heart pours out to you. My story is almost just like that minus the gay cousin and suicide. I smoked, partied and all that to take away from the pain and stress. I'm gay and I've told my mom and my mom made me tell my dad which she said she would never do. But I don't have my phone and can't talk to my best friends who I trust and who have been there for me threw this hard experience

    Thanks for sharing this. The black community (particularly the black CHRISTIAN community) is, unfortunately, rife with hatred, bigotry, and ignorance regarding homosexuality.
    One would think that people that are routinely discriminated against would be able to identity with and relate to others who are rejected in the same superficial way, especially if those "others" are actually US.
    Again, thanks for sharing...hopefully you'll inspire other young black men to embrace themselves fully.

  • @theoryg
    @theoryg 8 років тому

    You seem heavily matured in some respects. I would notice you as formidable vs. young had I seen you routinely passing. The thing about the gay lifestyle is for many its probably a phase not a final destination. I think for males the gay life has a lot to offer in terms of growing into a fuller maleness. What people don't watch out about is mysteries of desire and the real soul mate. I think every male ends up with a female regardless of if their with a male still. Relationships are too confining, coded and threatening when its probably much simpler. I think when males finally satisfy the oddest sex fantasy they are then able to move on but the gay life is slow and dependent on a number of variables often. It keeps males wanting males as a result or confined to it.

    I HOPE BY YOU MAKING THESE VIDEOS
    YOU BECOME A STRONGER PERSON & YES IT DOES GET BETTER, BUT NEVER
    KEEP YA' FEELINGS BOTTLED UP INSIDE, GO OUT & FIND A SUPPORT GROUP
    THREW FRIENDS
    & PS. TRY TO REACH OUT TO YA' GAY COUSIN ANYWAY U CAN, DONT
    PRE OCCUPY YOURSELF BY WHAT YA' MOM MIGHT SAY OR THINK.
    U HAVE YA OWN LIFE TO LIFE & I KNOW YOUR MOM MAY LOVE U IN HER OWN WAY, BUT SHE CANT EVER LIVE YA LIFE 4 YOU. LIKE OPRAH WINFRY SAYS
    ONLY U CAN BE THE BEST U, THAT U CAN BE, LIVE BY YA OWN TRUTH.

    Young man, don’t rely on God because there is no God out there pick up a third grade science book and you’ll find out how the earth was involved and how human beings evolved. Most importantly find people to talk to find peers find counseling and embrace all the goodness in life.

    @afrolatinadamien: Maybe if you brushed up on your English you would learn how to apply things in their proper context. I have disagreed with my mom many times but that has not stopped me from loving her or wanting her to be my mom. Grow a brain and stop being the first to respond to other peoples comments....this clearly is not your calling in life. My original comment was intended as a compliment.
