We are coming into a better more accepting world. When I graduated high school
in 1969 gay intimacy was illegal in every state except Illinois and we were labeled
by the mental health system as mentally ill. What an environment! You're
world will be much different than the one I knew in my youth. Many have
worked for this time in history and it has the potential to change the world
for the better. God bless you.

You had me at “I want you to know me”. I suffered the same indignities as you with bullying and no feeling of self-worth. You WILL prevail. Just stay true to your inner feelings. Your relationship with your dad is precious. Bless you.

I have always appreciated and respected any and all “coming out” stories. I simply see the telling - or rather, the sharing of each story, as a reflection of the storyteller’s personal inner strength; that person’s very bold, brave, shameless move in which that person tells the world that he, she, or them is willing to unapologetically live their truth and live IN their truth.
CHECK IT: Always live your truth and live IN your truth.
Bravo, Andrés, bravo! And as a fellow human being, as a bisexual person of color, and as a member of the LGBTQ community, I thank you for bravely sharing your story. All my best to you, to your future endeavors, and to each and every day of your wonderful and beautiful life. #LGBTQareLegion

Andres Holmes , you are an exceptional. I am the same way, but different. I was trying to be straight to my family, even my mother. I have come out to My mother at 27 or 28 to the late now. At first she questions me as to why I did not telling early in my teenage years. Now she has accepted it out of love.

That you and so many in your amazing generation defiantly get the whole "Be Yourself" thing is positively stunning! It all makes those fearful days of old, when Bobby Griffith and I were trying to love one another, as two "Out Boys", seem like several lifetimes ago! Bless ya "Babe", and please do consider joining the "GIVE EM' HOPE" Campaign, your voice would prove quite an asset!

As you get older your mannerisms may change. It often depends on environment. It takes time but certain guys can change that. Surprisingly the mannerisms aren't often welcome in the gay life of being with men often sexually.
