I fly c172 in the States. Crazy how slow the Kodiak can fly an approach.
70 knots final approach speed, wow! = big wing and lots of horse power!

It sure does not take much wind blowing over mountain tops to make it bumpy. And that’s along with thermals too. I’m sure that if you’d had passengers they wouldn’t have enjoyed it. 😊

You are my favourite pilot love watching you...I seen others fly who just obtained a small plane but are new to industry ...and think they are best pilot ever flying however you are true pilot with lots of experience and the best to watch....and something to give and to help which makes it viewing to watch as it has a story to it...not the newbies in their planes going up then coming down without any story...

In a previous life I operated a grader a Cat C130. I was flying with MAF in Northern Australia when we hit really bad turbulence. The pilot asked when I was next over that way could I grade out the lumps and bumps! You guys take care…….Roger

I can see why in massive planes flying at 30,000 feet that tubulence if you havent got seat belts on can be fatal ,or even fetch a plane down, oncecyou got towards landing turulence had eased

Alot of the predictible conditions from flying the area for years reminds me of my friend who's a fishing guide in the sound, he can tell you where the currents will be ripping, and what to expect under certain conditions in all the waters he's been navigating for a couple decades.

    Again:
Isn't the co-pilot there to take workload away from you?
I mean it seems that you are doing everything on your own:
The radio with flight-control, keeping track of your glide-slope, taking care of the complicated wind scenario and by-the-way also flying the airplane...
I don't want to imagine the outcome when you get into a troublesome scenario without having a well prepared CRM.

because he flies an airplane manufactured by Quest Aviation of USA. He flies it for his employer in PNG, who purchased the airplane from Quest. Jobs with Quest have nothing to do with the pilot or his employer, both in PNG. You really need to follow up with Quest Aviation, USA.

The big boys have it easy much smoother air higher up and the bigger bodies handle it a lot better, smaller planes have greater turbulence, that's a fact.
