I love how Peridot finally understood why Garnet is a fusion when Garnet told her it's just like one of her ships she made from Camp Pining Hearts Also I think the reason why it doesn't feel like a finale episode is because the writers wanted Season 2 and Season 3 to be together and have around 52 episodes, instead of having them two different seasons having about 25 episodes each.
Season 2 and 3 were initially one 50ish episode season like season 1 but it was cut in half while airing but funny enough the next episodes do feel like a season finale so idk why they didn't split the season there
i think this episode is what made peridot a lot of people's favorite character. she's a fish out of water, but now she's finally understanding what it means to be an earthling.
I kinda like how we got this episode after the last one, like after Peridot has been officially declared a "Crystal Gem" we just get a nice little look back at how she grew into the team and all, like you said, just letting it breathe
I checked the Wikipedia episode list when this episode first aired in 2016. Season 1 was originally 52 episodes long and season was going to be the same length. If I remember correctly, the show went on hiatus after this episode (which was episode 26 at the time, halfway through the original season length) and they just decided to end the season there, and the show got renewed for season 3. I guess they eventually made some changes to the episode order.
Peridot reminds me a lot of the time I insulted a teacher as irresponsible, immature, and incompetent in his profession. At the same time, I was proud, and at the same time, I was telling to myself: “WHAT HAVE I DONE???” (And for people who wonder what happened, he discovered the youtube channel I had when I was 13 with all of my cringey videos) Sorry for talking so much about my life, it's just that I like how this situation is as similar as Peridot's
The climax of season two occurred with Message Received and Peridot's turning on Yellow Diamond. Log Date 7 15 2 was the coda to Message Received and examined the effect on Peridot of her action. So much lore had been dropped by season two, and especially in the last episodes, that even though several months passed before the beginning of season three, the fans for once were satisfied enough and settled down to examine every facet of the show and post their theories. Evidently Gems can see Homeworld's galaxy from the northern hemisphere in summer, so it couldn't be Andromeda. The most promising candidate seemed to be Bode's Galaxy (M81) some 11 million light years away.
This episode doesn't feel like a finale to the cluster arc, but it is a finale to Peridot's character arc. I think it's an intentional choice to put more importance on the inner journey than the outer conflict
I love this episode! I especially like the scene where Peridot attempts to fuse with Garnet. Garnet offers a judgement-free space to try it and respects her when she backs out of it. Fusions are metaphors for relationships of all kinds, but I think with that scene specifically it seems pretty clear what it was meant to symbolize, and it means a lot to me :) (especially as someone who is aroace, I can relate a lot to Peridot and the way she views relationships)
I usually prefer the heavier episodes, like Rose’s Scabbard, but this one is one of my favorites simply because of how funny, charming and wholesome it is, Peridot is the best
In case you were wondering if the numbers in the title are significant, they aren't. It is however the hex code of Peridots green color. Also the reason seasons are like that is become the show is technically only 3 seasons long. Seasons 2 and 3 got split in half for marketing reasons the show wasn't designed with it in mind.
I love this episode, it shows how much peridot has grown over this season, she’s my favourite forever But oh boy, the next one is gonna be FIRE🔥🔥🔥 Can’t wait for it
He's not wrong, I even have a key to this home with flames, though I'm prefering to get a Peacock Tail feather look, something not edgy but I still love flames and think they're cool.
i know you might not watch this but i am watching your channel for a while and i think you might like (a lot) the anime "kaguya sama: love is war" i HIGHLY recommend this regardless if you make a content out of it or not

Log date is genuinely such a good episode
completely unbiased
They also show the growth of Amethyst and Pearl's relationship that now they have absolutely no problem fusing into Opal.
Yes, I wanted to address that too. Amethyst really did mature as a gem and her and Pearl's interactions are different from before.
I'd like to say Pearl too, but it's more noticeable in Amethyst.

4:00 this is absolutely spoof on total drama. It's even Canadian.

Not every season needs to end on a cliffhanger. Sometimes it’s nice to take stock of where you’ve been and how you got here.
season 3 premiere is a two parter!!
yessir
Three things I love from this episode
1. Garnet’s roast
2. Peridot relating to us when we watching series
3. Opal
0:38 she really said :3.
☆w☆

Season 2 is like the only SU season that ended so chill, nothing to worry or stress about at all.

Peridot talking about CPH is literally me when I talk about my favorite cartoon

I'm so glad you keep watching this serie ✨️
I hope you enjoy season 2
I love this episode, it shows how much peridot has grown over this season, she’s my favourite forever
But oh boy, the next one is gonna be FIRE🔥🔥🔥
Can’t wait for it
Great reaction!
I really liked this episode!
the next 2 episodes feel like a season finale
This is the season 2 finale, but the first 2 episodes of season 3 feel a lot more like a season finale.
I said Optimus Prime at the exact same time as you. 😂
You know what’s funny? I don’t know why but Perry reminded me of Early Stewie Griffin from Family guy😂💀 in this episode
He's not wrong, I even have a key to this home with flames, though I'm prefering to get a Peacock Tail feather look, something not edgy but I still love flames and think they're cool.
1:34 why'd you have to look away man :(
I was actually checking if the recording was still going so I still saw it on my other screen lol
are you gonna upload the first 2 episodes of season 3 on the same day since it's a two-parter?
🤐
Yess, I loved this episode. Peridot became such a quick favorite of mine. Garnet is still best gems, but Peridot comes right after for me at least.
The next season start with a two parter, please upload the two in the same day 😺‼️
You could really post the reaction to the next 2 episodes on the same day 👀
i know you might not watch this but i am watching your channel for a while and i think you might like (a lot) the anime "kaguya sama: love is war"
i HIGHLY recommend this regardless if you make a content out of it or not
You should watch the next 2 episodes together
Bye bye season 2, welcome season 3
Next season is my least favorite one, because there are too many filler episodes. But the last 8/9 episoders are great.
Hi
Actually astounded on how many subs you have. Those numbers need to get up, you deserve it.
thanks :)
