You need a separate ticket for the aerocity metro, however, if you use a smartcard you just have to unlock it once from the inquiry to access all types of DMRC metro.
For Airport line, you have to take separate tickets, other than that you just need one ticket i.e. for your final destination. But if you have metro cards, you don't even need to buy tickets including for Airport line metro.
You don't have to buy multiple tickets, a single ticket works in all lines. So no need to get out and buy another one, simply buy ticket for the destination station and change the line at any station.

The DMRC opened its first corridor between Shahdara and Tis Hazari on December 25, 2002, and presently, the Delhi Metro network consists of about 392.44 km with 288 stations. The network has now crossed the boundaries of Delhi to reach NOIDA and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh, and Ballabhgarh in Haryana.
The metro system was built by China and the staff are trained by Hong Kong MTR company. My friend has trained these Indian staff. He said that HK people are difficult to understand their indian style English.
It is unacceptable for the Indian to prefer that the Japanese built it rather than accept China, while the Japanese would rather leave. Chinese enterprises have played a significant role in the Delhi Metro project, including participation in construction, provision of technology and equipment, among others. Specifically: The consortium formed by Shanghai Urban Construction Group and Larsen & Toubro, India's largest construction company, jointly built the C5 section of the New Delhi Metro Airport Line, which was completed in 2009 and is the first underground project undertaken by Shanghai Urban Construction in India. Chengjian International (Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. India Company) undertook the 27th section of the New Delhi Metro Phase III, with a total length of 5 kilometers and a cost of approximately 1.27 billion yuan. The main project has been completed. CRRC signed a vehicle procurement contract with Delhi Metro Corporation for the Noida area metro line, with a contract value of $109 million, equivalent to 725 million yuan. The order signed this time includes 19 trains and 76 cars. AFIK, the airport line is an independent line and does not connect internally. All the other lines, colour coded, do connect internally and one ticket will work end to end. No Indian will tell you that Delhi metro is actually built through China technoloty, it's built by China-Indian joint-venture because India GOV said it's mandatory that the metro must have 75% localization, but the cars were provided by China. Bangalore metro is the same as Delhi.

Just buy a single ticket next time, directly to the destination, you don't have to buy tickets again and again. Or have a metro card 💳 with top up balance just with 50 Rs Extra and you save 10% fare and from queues. Also, Metro online app booking also convenient.
Thank you for putting together this vlog 😊 indeed kind of you. Here is some more trivia for your viewers. India’s first metro service (tubular rail / underground rail) started way back on 29th October 1984. It started in Kolkata and the service then covered only a stretch that catered to 17 stations. By 1995 that was extended to a distance of 16.45 km. Today metro service in India also goes right below a river - the Hooghly river. A river tunnel was constructed underneath Hooghly River for this purpose. It is the biggest underwater river tunnel of India, which was made for metro rail service.
You don't need to buy a new ticket for each line. Just buy ticket for final stop. There are line interchange between the entry and exit gates. The process is much simpler than you did.
There is an app for metro travel in Delhi. DMRC. You just have to put the name of the entry station and the exit station and it will give you all the route options as well as train timings. In my opinion too, just like your video title, Delhi has a world class metro system. I just wish we had less people in India and that would have made it comfortable to ride the metro. 😂 Hope you enjoy your stay in my country. 🙏🏼❤ 🇮🇳
People saying in the comments that you don't need to buy tickets again and again you can take tickets to your final destination and change metro after that its true but not in your case because the orange line you are using is airport express line which is exclusive for people travelling between Delhi airport and new delhi metro station. You can connect at other metro lines from dhaula kuan and new delhi but they are not inter connected you need to take exit and enter again
If you see this video of the Chinese subway, you will find that the Indian subway is exactly the same as the Chinese subway car and protective doors, but different from the Japanese subway! You will know who offers the subway!
Next time whenever you take a metro, just check online options where you can buy tickets directly from your mobile. Also, just say the last station adn take a single ticket, internally everything is connected so you do not need to but separate tickets everytime. Or you can take a smart card from any of the stations and got it recharged, you can use it at all stations.

The easiest way to travel on a metro is to take a metro car.
Also from airport to lajpat nagar, you could have got down at Dhula kuan on airport line, and from there walk to Venkateshwar college and take pink line to lajpat nagar. Only 2 metros and much faster.
One more thing, I appreciate you guys for exploring India. Just wanted to say that no country is perfect, everyone has its flaws, rich and poor, good people bad people. India is a totally different country than rest of the world in terms of everything. My tip to you is to just unlearn every thing bad you've heard from western media and just experience the freshness, the joyous, the rush and good hearts of India and I promise you'll have a great experience here. Make it your own experience.
also add Jallianwala Bagh in Punjab to your bucket list
😅
I promise I never listen to the western media. India is one of 62 countries I have visited and our goal is to share our own experiences with other people and so far india has been wholeheartedly welcoming and supportive ❤️🇮🇳
Love Delhi
❤️❤️❤️
except of Airport express line ... entire Delhi metro is connected you don't have to buy multiple tickets . just ask for ticket for your destination station

👍👍❤️❤️
The metro system was built by China and the staff are trained by Hong Kong MTR company. My friend has trained these Indian staff. He said that HK people are difficult to understand their indian style English.
Built by Japan not china
It is unacceptable for the Indian to prefer that the Japanese built it rather than accept China, while the Japanese would rather leave.
Chinese enterprises have played a significant role in the Delhi Metro project, including participation in construction, provision of technology and equipment, among others. Specifically:
The consortium formed by Shanghai Urban Construction Group and Larsen & Toubro, India's largest construction company, jointly built the C5 section of the New Delhi Metro Airport Line, which was completed in 2009 and is the first underground project undertaken by Shanghai Urban Construction in India.
Japan mainly provides low-interest yen loans.
Its totally made in india with only some help of japan not china. Keep ur fact check mate
Made with collaboration with japan, not china, china ka maal 2 mahine nahi tikta 😂
@@wailunau9076 just to let you know, India is selling metro and other trains to different countries. Bloody typing chutiya 😅
AFIK, the airport line is an independent line and does not connect internally. All the other lines, colour coded, do connect internally and one ticket will work end to end. For you, the yellow and blue lines would have worked seamlessly. Yes, google maps on android works far better than on iphones and generally gets confusing in the final minutes, when you need it most.
❤️👍👍
No Indian will tell you that Delhi metro is actually built through China technoloty, it's built by China-Indian joint-venture because India GOV said it's mandatory that the metro must have 75% localization, but the cars were provided by China. Bangalore metro is the same as Delhi.
@@FrankZhang-pj9nn It s an India and Japan collaboration not India China sir.
@@globalcricketdesiflavour2131 you are totally wrong, pls do check again from google, you will find out the answer. BTW, it's a secret that only little Indian know this. the HSR is an India and Japan collaboration. but we are talking about the metro.
Mr Frank, China is never been part of Metro in India. Japan is the main partner. The coaches were imported sometime back from Korea and Germany. Now, the coaches are made in India. So don't spread misnomer.
@@tarunkumarsingh5318 Also India buy tunnel boring machine(TBM) for metro from China as well. I know the truth hurts

The subway in India looks similar to the subway in S.Korea that I saw when I traveled there. Was it made by a Korean company?
I’m not sure who it was made by

Thanx for your visit welcome to Delhi just buy the tickets once dont have to buy every time you change the trains
Just see in few coming years india will be one of best destinations , by making roads and markets under regulation ....

You are Welcome in 🇮🇳India Bottom of my ❤
Thank you 😊
Proud to be part of it❤
❤️❤️
Just a suggestion if you have inter changes, don’t scan your ticket before you are taking an exit from metro station.
There will be gates or way with directions for the next line usually above or below or on the same level of your previous metro line.
If confused kindly ask any the way for the line line color it is much more easier.
Hope it helps 🫶
Thank you 🙏
@@OTWD_yt Welcome ☺️ hope you find India more beautiful with every visit ❤️
It is super easy if one gets a Metro card and recharge it at the counter. I have metro cards of most of the Metro Services in India and keep recharging it when I visit those cities. I do this because I have performances in cities and using the Metro is so convenient.
By the way thanks for your vlogs.

I have done 10-12 metro systems in the world. All of them operate on similar principles. It's not that hard. Hongkong, Bangkok, Korea, Malaysia, India, Spain.. if you are travelling so often, imagine similar principles.. :)
We’ve been on metro in London, Bangkok, Malaysia , india, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Beijing, New York, Ukraine, Philippines, Turkey
@@OTWD_yt not sure if you know, the MTR management Hong Kong was highly involved in developing the delhi metro system.

Hi! Loved your video, but you can go with the metro smart cards they're rechargeable and you can get a few rupee discount on the cards instead of buying tickets! You can also try the magenta line. Its one of the best and most developed metro line.. Hope you enjoyed the Delhi metro...
Thank you 😊
To avoid confusion in further travels, please just check your route on the metro site. For example: dmrc's site
Thank you man appreciate it ❤️
I think the Delhi Metro service has a map of all the lines...if I'm not wrong. I'm based at Mumbai and we have 3 operational lines but it is hard for us to understand as this map is non existent.
Just buy a single ticket next time, directly to the destination, you don't have to buy tickets again and again.
Or have a metro card 💳 with top up balance just with 50 Rs Extra and you save 10% fare and from queues.
Also, Metro online app booking also convenient.
👍👍
Complication in scanning cuz you should place the qr little bit higher than touching the surface, I assume. 🤔(I'm not sure)
👍👍❤️❤️
Thank you for putting together this vlog 😊 indeed kind of you.
Here is some more trivia for your viewers.
India’s first metro service (tubular rail / underground rail) started way back on 29th October 1984. It started in Kolkata and the service then covered only a stretch that catered to 17 stations. By 1995 that was extended to a distance of 16.45 km. Today metro service in India also goes right below a river - the Hooghly river. A river tunnel was constructed underneath Hooghly River for this purpose. It is the biggest underwater river tunnel of India, which was made for metro rail service.
We are going to Kolkata I’m thinking to try there metro too?
Utarakhand, kashmir, himachal are best places to visit in this summer..
Just loved ur holi vlog. Cheers
Thank you 😊

You don't need to buy a new ticket for each line. Just buy ticket for final stop. There are line interchange between the entry and exit gates. The process is much simpler than you did.
Even the airport line?
@@OTWD_yt no but in normal line
There is an app for metro travel in Delhi. DMRC. You just have to put the name of the entry station and the exit station and it will give you all the route options as well as train timings. In my opinion too, just like your video title, Delhi has a world class metro system. I just wish we had less people in India and that would have made it comfortable to ride the metro. 😂
Hope you enjoy your stay in my country. 🙏🏼❤ 🇮🇳
👍👍
india have similar type of metro system in 20 more cities and metro is already under construction in 10 more cities

Delhi metro has their own website which give the best route possible
Just buy a ticket for destination station, and change as many lines to reach to that station.
You don't need multiple tickets. Just take a ticket to your final stop and change lines as many times as required.
