In the past couple weeks, I've seen two snakes, my first wild sightings since moving here to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona.

🙄So Christy... I live in an area where snakes live... venomous and "nice" snakes... There is bush nearby... What motivates the fear is the unpredictability of their appearance, we don't know where they are, nor what to do in front of them...
We always have to be careful, and there is not much we can do... Sometimes, we think of Nature in a "contemplative" way, a bit ``romantically´´.( I am not an extreme savage...)
But Nature is there, just being... with what it is supposed to be...

Ah Rita, you have experience and wisdom in these matters. I’ve lived most of my life in places where there weren’t any venomous snakes. I’ve only seen one wild snake in my life before this and it too was non-venomous. I need to remember that they want to avoid us as much as we want to avoid them. ❤
