Nell I wanted to tell you that I really enjoy your videos! They are so real, and you are so down to earth! You are not about fancy clothes, or the latest fashion trend... You are all about plants, and helping all of us who need a little more knowledge, as to how to take care of our plants, and help them to thrive! You are real!!!
I use to live in Tucson and now in Phoenix and yes it is hot. You are brave to pot plants outdoors in August. As far as making a mess I do too but I enjoy it . It is almost like playing in dirt and mud like I did when I was a child and I always enjoyed that. Thank you for the videos and sharing of all the information.
Thank you. I just subscribed, I wish I found you sooner. I had no idea that my Leap Frog Peperomia can get up to 12-14” tall-wide that’s good to know. Lastly, you are NOT messy when transplanting, as a matter of fact I thought you were quite neat compared to me.
They are looking great. :) About making a mess while potting.. I have tried to make less of a mess and have found its just not any fun at all. lol. Id rather enjoy repotting my plants, make a huge mess and clean it up after. :)
Right on - much more fun. It's the same way when I cook - how can you not make a mess?! Plus, I figure thank what dust pans & brooms were invented for. Cheers, Nell
Hello, new. This plant. is 60% indoor potting mix miracle grow and 40% perlite is good enough ratio or do I need more for small plant I have similar specy like yours Or what mix do I need to do? I'm feeling clueless, and I don't want to kill it
This is really helpful! I have baby rubber plant, and a nephrolepis fern and they're my first plants and I'm trying to figure out how to care for them. I'm not sure if it's repotting time yet, and this is helpful in teaching me all about it. It's been a lot of trial and error. Thanks for the info :)
I’m a beginner, do I need to have a pot with holes underneath? I have many pots without holes. Can I plant the Peperomias in a pot without holes?thank you
Love your videos and make all the mess you want, I definitely do. What person watches gardening videos and makes comments about making a mess with soil? Weird.
Hi, I want to repot mainly to change the soil they came in as it doesn't drain water well. Just wondering, when you took out the plant from the old pot, in my case should I remove more of the soil than you did? Seeing as I want to change it after all... And should I put it to a bigger pot to allow myself to add more new soil or is it okay to reuse the same pot (which I had planned on doing)?
I enjoy watching your channel, I have that green peperomia and it's more than 28" long now. I want to know how can I propagate them. Thank you, I appreciate what your doing.
My plant got knocked off the table, and all the dirt got spilled out, and it lost a lot of leafs it still losing leafs 😢 I didn't know what to do so I just planted it in Miracle-Gro indoor house plant potting soil! Ugh. Is it gunna die? I'm so sad over it.
The most fun about having plants is being able to play in the dirt, anyone who dislikes dirt needs another hobby. Make all the mess you want that is what brooms are for. Love all your videos thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge. Where do I find worm castings and is there a special type for Peperomias?
hello! can I ask how old is your green peperomia? I just bought a really tiny one and I wanted to gauge how long would it take to grow to similar size as yours. yours is so beautiful
Hi Nell! How are you? Thank you for another educational and enjoyable video. I use the samethings in my potting soil mix, but never put charcoal in before. I will start doing that the next repotting. Happy Potting! Gerry 😁
Hi Gerry - I'm doing just fine; thank you for asking. Hope all's well with you. Charcoal is good for drainage & also for sweetening the soil. Enjoy! Nell
I bought 2 of these in the 4in pot.. I transplant one too soon and its not doing well. 😒...the other one is still in the nursery pot..doing good. So, its been 5months now..I'll repot in April.
Hello from Puerto Rico. I love peperomias. I just received some cuttings of Prostrata and Verticillata and both in water have rooted and even have new leaves. If you have these please make a video on them. Oh, whenever I work with DIRT of course I'm going to enjoy getting messy 😉😊👍🏽.
Joanne Acevedo Hola Puerto Rico, mi isla del encanto. My mom tells me peperomias are also native to P.R. How lucky u are. I hope the recent earthquake didn’t affect you. I’m from Mayaguez. I’d live to see pictures of your peperomias. Loyda Irizarry
I have a pepperonia not sure the name due to covid I got it bc my coworker couldn’t pick it up from school but it looks like it doesn’t have enough soil! what should I do it in a terra-cotta pot! wish I can self a picture !
Hi Nell. Ik this video isn’t about aloe plants but I wanted to make sure you would respond which is why I am commenting on a more recent video. My aloe plant is starting to droop and I’m not sure why. And just today my largest leaf on the plant(which isn’t very big) came off, it seemed to be rotting from the bottom. It was brown and really soft (maybe I added too much water ??🤔).
Ne-Ne definitely overwatered. When the roots start to rot, it can't drink as much, and wilts like a plant that needs water. Then of course you offer it water and the rotting worsens. It sounds like you might just want a new aloe plant. ❤
Hi Nell! I have a variegated teardrop peperomia that I've had for about a month as an indoor plant. It is in a south facing window. It has suddenly started to rot! It is in cactus mix soil and I haven't watered in about 2 weeks. Do you have any ideas as to why this is this happening? I can't see any bugs either. Thanks!!
Ok okay you guys, we get it, but be more polite. It’s not that easy to stand in front of a camera and be perfect. Who has time for editing, anyway? I have been a teacher for 40 years, and let me tell you, one can never express oneself without wanting to rewind and rephrase oneself! I’m grateful for your info., Nell. TY

Such a good idea to freshen up the soil when repotting! Such a beautiful pepperomia plant congrats! I didn’t think propagate mine but now I will.

One of the best parts of reporting IS making a mess !! Great video 👍

Back in the 80s, my cousin would put a charcoal square in the pot with her plants! I didn't understand plants back them!

Such a helpful video, thank you so much! I love my peperomias. 💕
Hi Nell, always love watching your videos. It was very informative. Love your personality.💚🌿

So basically universal soil does well with extra perlite mixed in, or just coco peat mix with perlite and slow release fertilizer added
Hi, Escanor, If these ingredients are added, will they be a substitute to the others in Joy’s video or in addition to??
I bought 2 of these in the 4in pot.. I transplant one too soon and its not doing well. 😒...the other one is still in the nursery pot..doing good. So, its been 5months now..I'll repot in April.
If I repot my rainbow peperomia for it to grow wider will that work? Or will it just stay similar size?
Love Peperomias💚 had these exact ones too. Had to leave them behind with my mom when I relocated to East Tx =( Thanks for sharing!💚💚💚💚
My pleasure Florence! I love Peperomias too - so easy to care for. Nell

Hi - Yes, that's most often a sign of watering too often. Aloe veras are full of watering so they're prone to rot. Nell

Hi Rachel - Rot in plants is caused by over watering. If the leaves are "blackish" & mushy, it's too much water. Nell
dozed off during your video. good info but needs editing.
Agree! Waaaaay too much rambling without getting to the point of the video
