- In this video I will be showing you how I upgraded my old Delta table saw workbench fence to a new Vega table saw fence system so I will be able to cut wood up to 50" wide. I customize it to this table saw workbench and it works great, even better than I thought.
I might not be cutting wood that wide all the time but having the ability is huge.

I previously built your table and have been looking for a fence replacement/upgrade ever since! This video is exactly what I’ve been needing. Thank you!
Lots of people have been asking so I was finally able to get to it.
I got a Vega fence for the best price on eBay and installed it. Would've been much more difficult without watching your video first - Thanks!
I have a Craftsman Table Saw and the stock fence is terrible! Rockler recommended the Vege fence. Thanks for the detailed tutorial.
You are welcome! It a great fence. Thanks for watching!
I just watched your video on the table build. It's beautiful. I'm building mine soon. I saw this Dove Trail track system. Not sure if it is better. I like the T Track personally.
Thanks for watching!
Nice setup. I have the same fence. 1 thing that you might have missed was the alignment of the fence. I saw that you used a washer. You actually align the fence with the 4 Allen screws that attach the fence to the slide. You loosen 3 and leave 1 just a little snug and it becomes a pivot point. You get it aligned and then tighten all 4 screws.
Awesome! Thanks for the comment. How do you like your fence?
@@Remodelaholic I love it. I started with an older craftsman contractor saw. I would always have to check and adjust the front and back of the fence no matter how careful i was at setting it. The vega fence eliminated that issue. You set it and it stays put. It was the best upgrade I have ever made. Turned my old saw into a precise cutting machine!
So far I love mine. I should have installed it years ago. What type of things do you like to build?
How far from where you bolted does the fence stick out? I literally just built a table that fits my dewalt perfectly and then decided to see if there was an extension and came accross this. I can make the adjustments but Id like to rough measure before buying
Sorry I'm not sure I know where you need a measurement
Good day, dont you have downloadable plans?
Yes I do. They're is a link here. shop.remodelaholic.com/products/table-saw-workbench-woodworking-plan
So, the back rail does not have to be installed? If doing so will effect alignment at all or is the an actual option in in the installation?
The back support is not needed. And it does not effect the alignment.
@@Remodelaholic thanks!!
@@Remodelaholic bought the 50” installed it with no back fence and it works beautifully. I did check with manufacture and they said they recommend installing back rail but not necessary and will not effect accuracy.
That's good to know. I love how mine works. I just used it yesterday.
