I finally finished my version of this! Its fabulous. I have it on a dewalt jobsite saw. The infeed support is SOOOO good. I did make some changes. I added Jessem stock guides on the top. And for mounting it, i screwed a metal plate to the back of the existing fence and then used a mag switch to lock it down. Its more expensive, but it REALLY locks it down and is just one switch to latch and unlatch. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks so much for showing us your work. I built this today and I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed building it. The resulting fence works SO better on my 20-year-old DeWalt jobsite saw.
This is great. Will be borrowing some, possibly all of this! You seem capable enough to also make a home-made SawStop-style auto brake. I look forward to that!
Having 1 arm/leg, I've been looking for a way to mount board buddies to my small dewalt... this might do the trick. Now, show me how to get a flat table, and Dewalt might actually become a decent saw.
Very nice! I like the shelf at the front to help support stock. I had an idea to make something like this, but embed a T-track in it so you can use those new wheeled stock guides that push down and into the fence. Really great build, I'll be sure to borrow some of your ideas!
That is nice and well built, but I get by with two fence clamps and two holes drilled into a piece of 3/4 inch stock. The aux. fence sticks over the front edge about 10 inches and allows me to start large pieces of sheet stock by myself, and i dont have to worry about something that large to store.
Hey, I really like this! I have the same table saw. I think I will do the same thing to it. This modification is just what this saw needs, in my opinion. Nice job!

Well. I guess my recreation activity for this evening is watching all of your saw mods in a lot of detail. You seem like the only guy skilled enough to pull a build like this off who hasnt already upgraded to a $4000 table saw.
I have watched this video at least a dozen times because I really like what you’ve done. Thanks for the inspiration! Btw, did you ever install a router and make changes to the fence on the other side?
Thanks for liking my video. I use the other side of the fence as well of course. There's a second table saw with a dado blade, not a router. When I first made the workbench, I planned to mount a router there, but I changed it because I thought it would be better to do it this way. And I have a new idea to install a router. I'll work on it and show you soon.
@@carpentak hey what's up I'm wondering if you can link to a video if you did it with the router that you would just talking about and how you did it, thank you so much!
So cool! The clamp you put on the new fence - that is just to hold the extension fence to the existing fence, correct? It is *not* to lock down the entire fence assembly I think. So you are using the existing locking lever for that? ps What make of shaper are you using?
I've been waiting months to make this fence. After I saw your video I knew I had to build it. I have all the materials but I don't see any written plans. Can you please tell me the dimensions of the white UHMW sheet? That's all I would need. I can figure out the rest. Thanks so much.
What great work. This is a must have for anyone with a short infeed fence. What is the white material? I have been looking for sheets of this stuff but don't know what it is called. Thank you.
Interesting. I took a different approach. I have the table extension as a separate piece, and the fence extension as a separate piece as well. That way I can use the infeed extention as a support for my miter sled.
thank you. I used a 100 cm length, but it doesn't matter if it's shorter or longer than that. If you are using plywood, you can finish it and wax it to make it slippery.
@@carpentak thanks for that just ordered some. Going to be using using a lot of your ideas, excellent ideas and excellent finished product. Thanks for the link 👍👍
Acrylic has a smooth surface and glides well. It has a longer lifespan than plywood. Another problem with wood is that it deforms depending on temperature and humidity. So acrylic is good for fences. If possible, it would be better to use aluminum.
In your reply to Jay Choi I was wondering about the second table saw. Did you ever make a video of installing it? I really enjoy watching all your videos, also I wanted to ask if you have any plans of all the parts of the table saw workbench, I would really like something to help me build one for myself. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this! What do you call the white plastic that you attached to the original fence? Is that a HDPE plastic sheet or something else? Where did you buy it? Thank you and hoping to hear from you soon.

Great Video!
