Hes got that wrong . If you want to test the sending unit you GROUND THE WIRE and if it runs the sending unit is bad . The sending unit keeps this wire grounded and if the oil system malfuncions it breaks the ground kiling the ignition system . So , he couldnt have pulled the wire from the sending unit creating a run situation

It's only 3 yrs old and I assure your assumptions about oil changes are way off base. It's had nothing but good oil and timely changes.
