Surprise at how much I liked your video. The algorithm popped it up on my feed. For what it's worth I'm a fan of Maxis High Road HPR tyres on my carbon Focus race bike. They are very very supple especially with TPU tubes. And depending on your weight you could probably drop the pressure to 85 psi easy. I pump up to 80 rear and 70 front and let them come down over a week or two. You have inspired me to do more videos myself 😊
@@byrondixon4648 thanks for watching and the comments. I’ll look at those tyres! Happy cycling 👍
Paul!
I'll see you tomorrow at the Argos celebration. I'm ( dis ) organising the bike jumble there.

Schwalbe marathon plus on all my bikes, salsa marrakesh, bike Friday new world tourist, and both tandems, trek and bike Friday
We love the marathon plus ! Sounds like a wonderful collection of bikes and the Bike Fridays are so lovely to ride 👌
Dude, yer Moulton won a prize! Make a video!!
Yes !!!! Sarah is so happy!
Tan wall really suits the frame 👌
Thank you 🙏
I use a Schwalbe marathon on my Guru a cross cycle bike and DT swiss wheels.have a great day 😎❤️🚴♂️👏👏👏👏👏❤️🇨🇦
Sounds like a great combination!
I have Panaracer Gravel Kings. Either the standard tread or the SS road tread. Light and supple, black or tan. I have 650x38, 42, and 47 on different bikes as well as 700x35 on the road bike. I have the Vitoria Graphene 700x30 on a road bike and used on the track bike over the winter. I have used standard tubes but am considering something lighter. But at 185cm and 110kg a few grams per tube is not that important.
Sounds like a nice mix! Happy cycling and thanks for sharing!
@@veloworks9266 The funny thing is that I have to overlook the 80's and 90's road bikes because they will only fit a 25 or 28C tire. If you go back to the 27 inch bikes of the 70's when using 700C wheels you can usually fit a 32 or wider tire. Now the road bikes come with 30mm plus tires.
Try Veloflex, super grippy
lol, “why am I changing my tires again?” Well, to have a subject to make a video, of course! 😊
Challenge Criterium RS tires always. I've never gotten value from Vittoria.
It’s great to find a tyre you really like 👍 Personally we’ve not had that experience with Vittoria and do lots of mileage.
I bet your pressure is way too hard. Guessing 90 would faster and more comfy.
On a 26mm tire it's way too high. 110 is likely too high for a 23mm tire.
As I said it’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea but the frame is forgiving - if you watched to the end I tried at 100 as well 👍
@@Thezuule1 I guess I’ll have to trust the manufacturer on this one 😀👍
@@veloworks9266 I wouldn’t. Manufacturer doesn’t know how much you weigh, how much your bike weighs, what kinds of tubes or lack of tubes you’re using, surface you’re riding, speed you intend to go, etc. Search up a tire pressure calculator imo. I run 23mm tires on my road bike and around 95 psi is the recommended inflation per Silca, who I trust more than the manufacturer because they actually figured my weight and stuff into their recommendation. The tires you’re using is a recommended 84.5 psi for me which is a huge difference from 110.
@@Thezuule1 it’s great that you’ve found a method that works for you. And that’s part of the joy of cycling. I prefer to find out through practice what suits me and as mentioned in the video I went out with a high PSI and lowered it as necessary. This works for me. Thanks for watching and appreciate your comments 😀👍
110 psi? Never :D - I ride my 700Cx28 at 50 PSI max. Also a steel frame from the 80ties, so relatively compliant. 110 psi is madness :D
That's likely quite a bit low. You should probably be closer to 75 psi. Search out a tire pressure calculator imo.
Whilst we understand 110psi may not be everyone’s cup of tea at 50 psi you are very likely to damage your rims if you hit a pot hole. Also at this pressure you put more stress on the side walls of the tyre and therefore you can get splitting. No manufacturer on a road bike with road bike tyres (for 700cx28) would recommend 50.
@@veloworks9266unless you're riding perfectly smooth roads 120psi is way too high a pressure. On the other hand 50psi is too low imo. Wider tyres at lower pressures are proven to be faster. I used to run 23mm Veloflex tyres at 120psi many moons ago, but they were just harsh not fast.
undoubtedly the best tyre out there, i've tried conti gp5000, pirelli pzero and they don't even come close imo
Interesting, as these are the only tyres I haven't tried.
Thanks for sharing! Good to know 👍 We don’t have any experience with the Pirelli but the gp5000 has served out customers well and they have a good life span but they don’t have the elegance that these have.
@@thecatsonholiday5932 well we recommend you do! Thanks for watching ✅
Hope to see you and the bike at Argos 🤓
tires every year?? woah really putting the miles on eh? lol. I run the corsa control graphene 2.0's with 28c front 30c rear with tpu tubes. got over 50 punctures last year and over 30 so far this year.
Do you ride your bike through a junkyard or something? That's a lot of punctures.
@@Thezuule1 I know right?!? I tell people I ride the bike lane from Baghdad in 2001
@@HeyWattsUpCycling 😂
50 punctures 😱😱😱
