Hello! Unfortunately Sony ULT Wear is not "The best option". Bought them from reviews too and after 1 month the right earcup's hinge just broke (something similar to XM5 issues). Also the bass was fun but if you want to listen other songs not EDM's then there are just sounding...cheap. Swap them with the Accentum Plus and HOLY that's the best option I could get in a similar price point. The sound is MUCH MUCH MUCH better and they are kinda bass heavy too (not like ULT ofc), even if they are made of plastic they are more resistant to cracks, yeah the ANC is a little weaker and transparency too but I bought them for music, not other features so 100% recommend the Accentum Plus and skip the Ults.
I also had the ULT Wear and returned it. I'm a bass head and alhough the bass was fun, it just didn't sound right for me. Too boomy. I actually enjoy my cheap Soundcore Q30 more. The Sennheiser looks interesting or maybe the new Space One Pro...
It's a shame that the Soundcore Space One Pro released around the same time you uploaded this video ($200). Anyway, the only notable things I found asinine about it are the omissions of wear detection and the ear cover gesture to activate transparency mode found on Soundcore's cheaper headsets.
Hi I came across your channel and enjoy the in-depth reviews. I'm looking for an open earbud, do you recommend JBL live flex 3? If you could kindly do a review on them that would be great. Thanks
Thank you! Yes I highly recommend Live Flex 3. It's a semi-open earbud, not fully open, but arguably the best in its class right now, I really like it. If enough people want it, i'll do a full review! Hope this helps for now though
Thank you for this episode nice job lots of info and easy to follow. I like the Sony's I'd consider the Sennheisers but they kinda look like headphones for kids. 💯👍🇺🇸
Did you test the Creative Zen Hybrid Pro Classic/SXFI by any chance? Specifically the variants with the boom mic. If so, I would like to ask a few questions about the headphones: - How's the sound quality and ANC compared to your top 5? - How is the mic quality and does the boom mic make any difference? - How's the latency? - How much does sound quality drop when using the mic over Bluetooth? Is it as bad as on older headphones like the WH-1000XM3? It's kind of a niche device in my opinion, but it would be wonderful if you tested it. Other people in the comments can of course also share their experiences if they have any! Thanks!
Very solid review thanks! I think I like the sony ones best. I feel like they were robbed for first place in mic quality, they sound a bit richer/less hollow than the Edifiers IMO.
It's difficult in the mic samples I record because they only show off one use case and one environment - it's not always representative of the overall performance and ranking. When editing this, I felt the same as you. Sony actually sounded a bit better here. But it's only fair I test in multiple locations and scenarios to try to give a fairer test and rank accordingly. Edifier generally performed better, but it won't always be the case
Im an iPhone user who’s wants a pair of wireless headphones for walking (at night) and home usage currently. I’m in between xm5s and the M4 (momentum’s), I’m aware the M4 are superior in sound quality but is this something is should consider prioritising over all of the xm5s positive features (I think the anc, transparency mode are just extremely helpful to have in which these are a lot better at.) if this helps the music I listen to ranges from rap, rnb, Spanish, French, etc, I listen to a lot of genres to be honest.
“Is this something I should consider prioritising”. No. There is never any “should” be doing with headphones. It’s all completely up to you! It’s all about what you want your headphones to do. Personally I think the XM5 are the better all round headphones. I would choose those because I want the better ANC, Transparency, Controls, Comfort. I find them more convenient, so I’m happy to take a slight dip in sound quality
@@insidetechltd thank you for the response. I might go with the XM5s now then, I also prefer the look of them a lot more than the M4s. I was just indecisive on how significant the sound quality would be between both of these headphones. I’m going to try them both on Friday and hopefully I’ll get a better understanding.
What do you think of Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones at £220 well worth it? or should I wait for Black Friday to get a better deal or are any other headphone coming up? btw sound quality is my top priority. Thank you.
That sounds like a great price to me! There are always, always new headphones coming up. There will always be new discounts coming too. If you want them and can afford them, I would just go for it!
It's got to be Bose's QuietComfort - they're still the comfort kings, and amazing ANC too! Sony's ULT Wear doesn't have as good ANC, but the ear cups a bit a larger which is nice. Not as lightweight though
Honestly both of those. QC is slightly more comfortable than Ultra because of the weight. But those two are basically #1 and #2 for comfort. I’d personally get the Ultra anyway because of the better sound quality
How do the Soundcore headphones do Re: bass frequencies? I’ve read and heard that some of their headphones can have an EQ shift whereby the bass becomes overwhelming depending on whether you have ANC on or off.
Yes there is a slight bass boost when turning on ANC. I don't think it's enough to spoil your music, I think some people might not even notice. But it's there if you listen out for it
There is no blur applied at 31 seconds - I'm using a wide angle lens with a wide aperture setting, it creates a naturally shallow depth of field. The blur use at 52 seconds I think helps draw focus to what i'm talking about. You're the first person i've ever had ask me not to use it, but I take your feedback on board!
Honestly it gets tough at a price tag that low. I would expect it's something that's normally above this price but currently discounted below it, and that makes it hard to say because it depends on the available discounts and this changes depending on the country too. I've seen Soundcore's Life Q30 available on their website for $55 right now - those would be an excellent choice
soundcore's new Space One Pro review just went live! 🎧🔥

Soundcore Space One Pros will be launching tomorrow. I believe the price point will be $199.
I may or may not know about/ have these already 👀
Indeed....🤣
@@insidetechltd Ooooo, embargo!

This is the video i just needed, thank you so much

I’m actually really torn between both the Sennheiser Accentum Plus and the Sony Ult Wear. If pushed I’d probably go for the former set though.

Full review on those coming this weekend!
Great comparison 👍🏼
Where would you put the Philips Fidelio L4 now that the connection issue got fixed?
Thank you! Oh they’d be straight to number one if they were under $200. But surely they’re not available that cheap yet, are they?

I think the Edifier WH950NB would be more apropriete to compete against the others, since its a higher-end 150 dollar option
The 830NB outperformed them in testing! Always important to compare fully and not just look at pricing
@@insidetechltd good to know. So although the 950 is a higher priced, the new options are better and cheaper? Damn, thats great.
Exactly 👍🏼

I've had the Zen Hybrid SXFi in for testing and comparison already, but not actually the models with the boom arm for the mic yet - sorry!

Wish he put the crushers 2 I find em under $200 base on color, like to see it compared to the Sony ult
ULT is at ultimate falure, hinge failing after 3months of light use
Im shocked that sound qty of BOSE is judged only with 6th place. I will rethink if i buy the Sonys instead

My second comment isn't showing up, but the philips fidelio l4 are on amazon germany för 179€ that's about 199$
Whats your opinion on the JBL tour one m2?
How do they compare to these tested ones?
Amazing price for the Fidelio L4! Tour One M2 are also excellent, they'd beat these 5 as well. I talked about them in this year's Headphones Awards

Sonny is the best ❤
Great video , but please don't use the blur editing style i removed my glasses 2 times during the video.
For which part? Can you provide a time code?
0.31 when you blurred yourself and 0.52 when the headphone is blurred.

why no one talking that ult wear are just 1000xm4 SE model? What crazy wierd move from sony
Is that a bad thing? 1000M4 are extremely good and popular...i'd be happy to take a cheaper version of them!
Whats the best Bluetooth headphones for 60 usd for overral sound quality? @InsideTech
