Man, I have been actively searching for the last 3 days, headphone videos. In none of the searches I did did your channel come up. I didn't remember the name, but I did remember the aesthetics and your face. Just now that I enter I see that your latest videos have fewer views than you usually have. I think UA-cam shadow banned you or something like that. I just found you because my cousin reminded me of the name of your channel. For now I'm going to subscribe so I don't miss you again haha.

Awesome review! Just got myself a pair of Sony ULT's and they have not dissapointed, first real pair of ANC headphones, even if the sound quality may not be super high tier I really like it after the Find My Equalizer option on the app, makes them sound the way you want to! If aiming for better sound quality you may have to go even higher and try getting the XM5 or the Momentum 4, nonetheless the ULT's are a real solid pair of headphones, I really recommend them.

So I just want headphones. Proberly won’t use the that much just for listening to music, tv shows at home and using them on journeys etc . Would you still recommend ult ?

@@jaa840 I have been using them a lot since I got them, have used them for travelling, movies, at work and even some gaming, the ANC is top tier for what I've seen, it will mostly depend on how much money are you willing to spend, if you want a cheaper alternative without LDAC coding could be the Sony CH720, they cost like 60 dollars less and will get the job done, but I still think the ULT's win by a long shot

Hey, just wondering, is it really chunky when you wear it. My sister has the Sony xm5 and those already seem chunky when I wear it. So I'm just concerned whether I would look stupid when I wear it.

    • @martinandrescabarique7029
      @martinandrescabarique7029 Місяць тому

@@karunkrishnavelautham621 they are kinda chunky, but I don't think they are overly bulky, they have good space for your ears and that makes them comfortable, I don't think it looks stupid, but if you want slimmer headphones maybe look at the Beats studio, which is somewhat smaller, or maybe Senheisers, could work too, if you want to stick to Sony the Ch720n are a bit smaller although you lose on the ANC end and the high resolution codex. As they are over the ear headphones most of them look pretty big overall.

' you see a lot of professional athletes using beats ' which is true but there is a glaring emission from this sentence and should read ' you see a lot of professional athletes wearing beats after they have been paid by beats to wear them ' the sentence also goes for actors, singers, musicians and basically any celebrity, beats are not the best selling headphones based on how good the headphones are they are the best selling based on the sheep mentality of majority of the public to follow what celebrities are wearing (even when the celebs are only wearing because they are being paid to wear them).

I have the Sony ULT headphones and I'm quite satisfied with them. The noise canceling is fantastic and the sound quality in my opinion is really good. Initially at first they were a little tight on the ears but that's normal and once you wear them more often they get a little looser and more comfortable but still have a good hold on your ears.
I agree that the base is a little bit too much but I found that having the ULT button off was much better if you want to spare your hearing. 😂
I also might be a little biased but in my opinion the aesthetics were on No.1 for Sony. Overall a great pair of headphones, I would rate them a 9/10.

Got my sony ult wear's a week or 2 ago now and they are Amazing. I haven't had a wide range of headphones to base it off but they are incredibly comfortable, since rhe clamping force is quite gentle so definitely don't do anything intense with them like a workout, because they will most definitely fly off your head in seconds lmao. I tested out the higher and on terms of comfort they're no difference if not better. Only bad thing about them I'd say is that the auto pause is a but slow it takes about 1,5 seconds which is akwardly long and they also abruptly stop the music instead of slowly pausing which i would prefer, second thing is the BASS, IDK WHAT THEY WERE SMOKING BUT I WANT SOME LOLZ, but seriously like these babies could blow out my eardrums if i put it on max, if you're looking for bass it might even be too much, it's a lil annoying since i actually dislike bass(i didn't exactly plan to buy them) so even at about 35% it's a bit much, planning to spend an evening to make a personal equalizer setting, but yh definitely recommend them if you're priority is comfort like mine, they're incredibly comfy even with my glasses on.

Anyone that endorses JBL's doesnt know what the fk they are talking about. The forums everywhere on JBLS have the worst reviews. While the sound is great the headphones have a HUGE problem which is they shut off randomly thanks to the JBL switch when it thinks you are not on it shuts off within 10 minutes. You loose sound in gameplay which is devastating if you are playing FPS and cant reset the sound till you take out the dongle, reset the headset then reset the entire game. The dongle does not recognize in many windows 11, it doesnt pop up for long under audio and eventually windows hides JBL on its audio list over n over. Do not buy JBL's you will waste your money. They could easily fix the headset if they wanted to threw an update but they never have for years. You can change the amount of time on the switch so it says more than 10 minutes, hours or it even states it will stay on indefinitely but it does not work. Check out the reddits, nobody should be saying buy a JBL

This is such a flawed comparison. The methodology seems to lend equal weightage to all metrics, which is franky absurd. How on earth can you think something as trivial as case quality matters anywhere near as much as sound quality when comparing a headphone? Somehow the JBL won this 'comparison' and got your recommendation, and the Sennheiser came last. I've heard both these headphones, and the difference between them is frankly night and day. The JBL sound like cheap earphones when compared to the Sennheiser. I honestly couldnt care less that the JBL won in 'aesthetics' when it sounds like crap. Ridiculous.

@@MikeOBrienMedia Headphones are not suited for outdoor use in my opinion: in the summer they become uncomfortable and make you sweat, and you can't use them in the winter (because they are not water resistant). Earphones do not share the same flaws. I'm more into great sound quality (neutral with a slight bass boost) & comfort, with above-average ANC & battery life. Between the contenders, the Sennheiser Accentum and the JBL Live 770NC fit my criteria the most. I just recently was searching for good headphones and my choice was Sony WH-CH720NC. They are a bit older than Ult Wear but are a bit cheaper. I got mine for €90 tho usually they cost 100. Overall, i am incredibly happy with them, they are super comfortable, sound is great and they are pretty light so they don't feel heavy nor overload the head. So if anyone wants good headphones under 100 bux, Sony WH-CH720NC is an amazing choice from my experience.

Great video! Definitely want more clarity than bass, bass is great but... Adelle songs don't have much bass
The Soundcore Space one's sound muffled outside.. But the noise reduction on backround sound is very nice.

Hey Mike. I know it's been two months since you added this video, but I surely hope you will be able to answer my question. My biggest concern on choosing headphones is definitely heat. In the "comfort" section of this video, you don't talk that much about it, so here's my question. Which one of all the headphones you have tested under 200$, whether it's one in this video or not, has the least tendency to get hot? Actually if you could give me a top 3 I would really appreciate it. I want to use them for movie watching at home.

Awfully exaggerated review for the ult wear. I have them and have my fair share of bass headphones. They are NOT that crazy and you make it seem like it's more than it really is. I don't think you've been around bass much if you consider these to be mind blowing.

If you are looking for a headphone under 100 dollars and you don't care about it being wireless and having noise canceling, buy the Philips shp 9600. It is open-back, and the drivers and sound quality are a lot better than any of these(except the senheisers I think). They have a pretty flat frequency response compared to these, so unlike these, they are not cranking up the bass and treble to the high heavens

@@nicolescutiberiu840 Definitely not the most impressive sound, but solid for the price and features. I listen to a good range of genres, but mostly alternative, pop, hip-hop, and r&b. I can make out the different instruments pretty well with these on, but I won’t say the spacing is the best I’ve heard. The standard EQ felt lacking to me personally, but I’ve stuck to the Bass EQ preset and can’t complain. I also listen at about 50% on all my headphones, and they’re plenty loud at that level.

Ok Mike, I like you and your vids for the most part, but I think I'm just over phones and earphones... I mean the cost a bit to do with it, as 1000 for a phone is just a big turn off for me, and if I'm only buying phones to use as a handheld desktop to to do media transfers... ??? I can see talking about best case scenarios, but 200 for any headphones with so much out there seems a bit crazy to me.
I do appreciate which one gives me best sound when I'm listening to music as a focus, but I feel like your time would be better spent on which is best for helmets with Electric Bikes in different situations, and then whats worth the price.
I really appreciated the vid on the bikes, and am looking for one that can hold my weight and which is best for seniors, going to stores, to work, etc., other wise I'm very interestred in what would be best listeniing expeerience when riding as some can be very loud, yet unsafe if noise caceling was used. So a couple years back I ended up with a mic and ear set that goes into a motorcycle helmet, and it would be nice to see some comparisons on those, but I may be losing my hearing lol... so UGH, I say we force the price down... 125.00 should be for the best of the best, and around 75 for those who can want the bells and whistles, but otherwise, I just want to be able to hear the song I'm listening to without a bunch of distortion. and I have plenty of those that coast were almost free from a grab bag.
Oh, I did just start editing and like good head phones sound during that, and voice playback of myself... Thanks
